Geochemical compositions can be used to determine the tectonic setting of sedimentary basins,while where the link of source to sink is no longer preserved,detrital zircon age patterns can aid in resolving the original basin *** metasedimentary Legoupil Formation,located at Cape Legoupil and the Schmidt Peninsula,could give a hint for the tectonic evolution of Antarctic *** this contribution,we constrain the sedimentary provenance of the Legoupil Formation through geochemistry and detrital zircon U-Pb *** petrography and geochemical features indicate that the provenance of the Legoupil Formation could be felsic *** zircon grains record a steady supply of Permian and Ordovician material into the Legoupil *** youngest concordant zircon ages of 262 Ma suggest that the depositional time of Legoupil Formation is no older than Late *** detrital zircon age spectrum of Legoupil Formation suggests that the Legoupil Formation sediments should be derived from regional sources endemic to western Gondwana prior to its *** with the previous studies,geochemistry and detrital zircons reflect an active continental margin tectonic setting and the detrital zircon spectra of Legoupil Formation are similar to the ones deposited in forearc tectonic setting.

Molecular Mechanisms of Intracellular Delivery of Nanoparticles Monitored by an Enzyme‑Induced Proximity Labeling

Achieving increasingly finely targeted drug delivery to organs,tissues,cells,and even to intracellular biomacromolecules is one of the core goals of *** the delivery destination is refined to cellular and subcellular targets,it is essential to explore the delivery of nanomedicines at the molecular ***,due to the lack of technical methods,the molecular mechanism of the intracellular delivery of nanomedicines remains unclear to ***,we develop an enzyme-induced proximity labeling technology in nanoparticles(nano-EPL)for the real-time monitoring of proteins that interact with intracellular ***(lactic-co-glycolic acid)nanoparticles coupled with horseradish peroxidase(HRP)were fabricated as a model(HRP(+)-PNPs)to evaluate the molecular mechanism of nano delivery in *** adding the labeling probe biotin-phenol and the catalytic substrate H_(2)O_(2)at different time points in cellular delivery,nano-EPL technology was validated for the real-time in situ labeling of proteins interacting with ***-EPL achieves the dynamic molecular profiling of 740 proteins to map the intracellular delivery of HRP(+)-PNPs in macrophages over *** on dynamic clustering analysis of these proteins,we further discovered that different organelles,including endosomes,lysosomes,the endoplasmic reticulum,and the Golgi apparatus,are involved in delivery with distinct participation *** importantly,the engagement of these organelles differentially affects the drug delivery efficiency,reflecting the spatial–temporal heterogeneity of nano delivery in *** summary,these findings highlight a significant methodological advance toward understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the intracellular delivery of nanomedicines.

Fluoro-functionalized plant biomass adsorbent:Preparation and application in extraction of trace perfluorinated compounds from environmental water samples

Perfuorinated compounds(PFCs)are toxic and widely present in the environment,and therefore effective adsorbents are required to remove PFCs from environmental *** the present study,a new type of fuorinated biomass materials was synthesized via an ingenious fuorosilanization *** adsorbents were applied for the adsorption of 13typical PFCs,including perfuorocarboxylic acids(PFCAs)and perfuorosulfonic acids(PFSAs).By comparing their adsorption performance,Fluorinated cedar slag(FCS)was discovered to have the best absorption efficiency and enabled highly efficient enrichment of *** adsorption recovery of FCS with the investigated PFCs is greater than 90%under the optimal adsorption *** to the high affinity of F-F sorbent-sorbate interaction,FCS had good adsorption capacities of PFCs from aqueous solution,with the maximum adsorption capacity of 15.80 mg/g for PFOS and 10.71 mg/g for PFOA,***,the adsorption time could be achieved in a short time(8 min).Using the FCS absorbent,an innovative FCS-solid phase extraction assisted with high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray-tandem mass spectrometry(FCS-SPE-HPLC-ESI-MS/MS)method was first developed to sensitively detect PFCs in the environmental water *** intra-day and inter-day recovery rates of the 13 compounds ranged from 90.7%-104.3%,with the RSD of 2.1%-4.7%(intra-day)and 2.5%-8.5%(inter-day),*** research demonstrates the potential of the newly fuoro-functionalized plant biomass to adsorb PFCs from environmental water,with the advantages of high adsorption efficiencies,high antiinterference,easy operation and low economic cost.

Impact of body mass index on adverse kidney events in diabetes mellitus patients: A systematic-review and meta-analysis

Preoperative evaluation and outcome of corneal transplantation for limbal dermoids：aten-yearfollow-up study

AIM： To summarize preoperative evaluation and outcome of corneal transplantation for limbal dermoids for ten ***： Eighty-five patients diagnosed with limbal dermoids and treated with corneal transplantation were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were further divided into two groups according to absence or presence of neovascularization surrounding the dermoids in the corneal stroma. Eighty-two eyes were treated with tumor excision combined with partial lamellar sclerokeratoplasty, and the other three eyes were performed by penetrating keratoplasty. The size and location of the tumor, the associated ocular and systemic anomalies, the depth of the corneal penetration of tumor tissues, the preoperative and postoperative best-corrected visual acuity （BCVA）, graft survival and cosmetic outcome, and surgical complications were recorded ***： The average age at surgery was 5.3y （range, 3mo-36y）. The mean size of dermoids was 6.1±1.6 mm. The 43.5% of eyes （37/85） were present with hair at the surface of the dermoid and 72.9% of dermoids were located inferotemporal of the eye. Amplyopia was present in 34.1% of patients （29/85） and 9.4% of patients （8/85） had lipodermoids. Eighteen patients suffered from Goldenhar’s syndrome with an accessory ear. The 75% of patients in group 1 had involvement of the corneal deep stroma down to Descemet’s membrane without involving it, but 71.4% of patients had Descemet’s membrane involvement in group 2. Preoperative BCVA ranged from counting fingers to 20/20. Postoperatively 81.1% had a BCVA of 20/800 or better. There was no significant difference between the post-surgical BCVA of the two groups （t=1.584, P〉0.05）. The grafts of 70.5% patients were present as 1＋ opacity, 21.1% as 2＋ opacity, 8.2% as 3＋ opacity and none as 4＋ opacity. Infrared microspectroscopy beamline BL06B at SSRF

The infrared microspectroscopy beamline(BL06B) is a phase Ⅱ beamline project at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF). The construction and optical alignment of BL06B were completed by the end of 2020. By 2021, it became accessible to users. The synchrotron radiation infrared(SRIR) source included edge radiation(ER) and bending magnet radiation(BMR). The extracted angles in the horizontal and vertical directions were 40 and 20 mrad, respectively. The photon flux, spectral resolution, and focused spot size were measured at the BL06B endstation, and the experimental results were consistent with theoretical calculations. SRIR light has a small divergence angle, high brightness, and a wide wavelength range. As a source of IR microscopy, it can easily focus on a diffraction-limited spatial resolution with a high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR). The BL06B endstation can be applied in a wide range of research fields, including materials, chemistry, biology, geophysics, and pharmacology.

Breaking the efficiency limitations of dissipative Kerr solitons using nonlinear couplers

Dissipative Kerr solitons(DKS) have long been suffering from poor power conversion efficiency when driven by continuous-wave lasers. By deriving the critical coupling condition of a multimode nonlinear optics system in a generalized theoretical framework,two efficiency limitations of the conventional pump method of DKS are revealed: the effective coupling rate is too small and is also power-dependent. A general approach is provided to resolve this challenge by introducing two types of nonlinear couplers to couple the soliton cavity and CW input through nonlinear processes. The collective coupler opens multiple coupling channels and the self-adaptive coupler builds a power-independent effective external coupling rate to the DKS for approaching the generalized critical coupling condition, which promises near-unity power conversion efficiencies. For instance, a conversion efficiency exceeding 90% is predicted for aluminum nitride microrings with a nonlinear coupler utilizing second-harmonic generation. The mechanism applies to various nonlinear processes, including Raman and Brillouin scattering, and thus paves the way for micro-solitons toward practical applications.
