Identifying the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complex precatalysts during electrocatalytic oxygen evolution

Transition metal-based nanomaterials have emerged as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction（OER）. Considerable research efforts have shown that self-reconstruction occurs on these nanomaterials under operating conditions of OER process. However, most of them undergo incomplete reconstruction with limited thickness of reconstruction layer, leading to low component utilization and arduous exploration of real catalytic mechanism. Herein, we identify the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complexes during OER. The hollow phytic acid（PA） cross-linked Cofe-based complex nanoboxes with porous nanowalls are designed because of their good electrolyte penetration and mass transport ability, in favor of the fast and complete reconstruction. A series of experiment characterizations demonstrate that the reconstruction process includes the fast substitution of PA by OH-to form Co（fe）(OH)xand subsequent potential-driven oxidation to Co（fe）OOH. The obtained CofeOOH delivers a low overpotential of 290 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2and a long-term *** experiment results together with theory calculations reveal that the fe incorporation can result in the electron rearrangement of reconstructed CofeOOH and optimization of their electronic structure,accounting for the enhanced OER activity. The work provides new insights into complete reconstruction of metal-based complexes during OER and offers guidelines for rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts.

Background Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection,with extremely high ***,sepsis is a heterogeneous syndrome characterized by a vast,multidimensional array of clinical and biologic features,which has hindered advances in the therapeutic field beyond the current *** sources We used PubMed to search the subject-related medical literature by searching for the following single and/or combination keywords:sepsis,heterogeneity,personalized treatment,host response,infection,epidemiology,mortality,incidence,age,children,sex,comorbidities,gene susceptibility,infection sites,bacteria,fungi,virus,host response,organ dysfunction and *** We found that host factors(age,biological sex,comorbidities,and genetics),infection etiology,host response dysregulation and multiple organ dysfunctions can all result in different disease manifestations,progression,and response to treatment,which make it difficult to effectively treat and manage sepsis *** Herein,we have summarized contributing factors to sepsis heterogeneity,including host factors,infection etiology,host response dysregulation,and multiple organ dysfunctions,from the key elements of pathogenesis of *** in-depth understanding of the factors that contribute to the heterogeneity of sepsis will help clinicians understand the complexity of sepsis and enable researchers to conduct more personalized clinical studies for homogenous patients.

Metal-organic frameworks （MOFs）,that have emerged as promising electrocatalysts in oxygen evolution reaction （OER）,usually undergo structural reconstruction to form metal hydroxides as active ***,it remains a great challenge to design and synthesize ideal MOF-based pre-catalysts for properly cognizing and utilizing the reconstruction process toward efficient OER ***,the well-defined MOF-808 is post-modified by 2-hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid （HPAA） to form a micro-adsorber that enables to capture of metal ions ***3+and Ni2+ions are synergistically anchored into the microadsorber,developing a fe/Ni-containing pre-catalyst that can be dynamically electrooxidized to be an active and stable dual-site electrocatalyst denoted by R-MOF-HPAA@feNi with abundant metal *** a result,R-MOF-HPAA@feNi exhibits an excellent OER performance with a low overpotential of 272 mV and Tafel slope of 35.9 m V dec-1,as well as long-term stability over 300 h at 10 m A *** and theoretical calculations suggest the resulting catalyst mainly follows a lattice oxygen mechanism （LOM） of dual-metal-site mechanism （DMSM）.Owing to the chelating role of HPAA,the post-synthesized MOF-HPAA behaves as a trap to uniformly and firmly adhere fe3+and Ni2+ions,leading to a functionalized MOF-based pre-catalyst which can be structurally evolved into atomic level-distributed OER electrocatalysts.

In 1952, when botany was still regarded as a ＂new science＂ in China, a quarterly journal named Acta Botanica Sinica （ABS） was established by the Botanical Society of China. Dr. Shih- Wei Loo received his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology （CIT） in 1945, and was appointed as the journal＇s first Editor-in-Chief for his achievements in plant biology （Tang and Loo 1940; Loo and Wang 1943）. Since then, the journal has continuously nourished the growth of many Chinese botanists, except for a 5-year hiatus during the arduous Cultural Revolu- tion period between 1967 and 1972. By 1989, the journal began publishing monthly.

We present a fully automatic method for finding geometrically consistent correspondences while discarding outliers from the candidate point matches in two images. given a set of candidate matches provided by scale-invariant feature transform(SIFT) descriptors, which may contain many outliers, our goal is to select a subset of these matches retaining much more geometric information constructed by a mapping searched in the space of all diffeomorphisms. This problem can be formulated as a constrained optimization involving both the Beltrami coefficient(BC) term and quasi-conformal map, and solved by an efficient iterative algorithm based on the variable splitting method. In each iteration, we solve two subproblems, namely a linear system and linearly constrained convex quadratic programming. Our algorithm is simple and robust to outliers. We show that our algorithm enables producing more correct correspondences experimentally compared with state-of-the-art approaches.

The geometrical structure of semiconductor clusters including Zn3O3 was optimized by the DFT B3LYP method. With the same basis sets, dipole moments, polarizabilities and secondorder hyperpolarizabilities have been calculated and compared with the results obtained by TDDFT B3LYP method combined with sum-over-state （SOS） formula. The calculation results indicate that the dipole moments of the ground state depend on the atom radius and electronegative differences between elements and are their balance point as well. The polarizabilities of the clusters accord with the rule of the corresponding energy transformation from ground to excited state. The results predict an increase of second-order hyperpolarizabilities with increasing the distances between atoms in the clusters as well as a decrease of the polarizabilities and second-order hyperpolarizabilities in the same serial of semiconductor clusters with increasing the dipole moments of the ground states. The changes of dipole moments in ground states are inconsistent with transition moments. Spatial structure, charge transfer and other factors play an important role in composing the transition moments.

Recognizing 3D part instances from a 3D point cloud is crucial for 3D structure and scene *** learning-based approaches use semantic segmentation and instance center prediction as training tasks and fail to further exploit the inherent relationship between shape semantics and part *** this paper,we present a new method for 3D part instance *** method exploits semantic segmentation to fuse nonlocal instance features,such as center prediction,and further enhances the fusion scheme in a multi-and cross-level *** also propose a semantic region center prediction task to train and leverage the prediction results to improve the clustering of instance *** method outperforms existing methods with a large-margin improvement in the PartNet *** also demonstrate that our feature fusion scheme can be applied to other existing methods to improve their performance in indoor scene instance segmentation tasks.

BACKgROUND At present,China has become the country with the largest number of individuals with diabetes mellitus(DM)in the world,with a total of approximately 140 million patients,the majority of whom have type 2 DM(T2DM).Based on conven-tional nursing methods,community home care has important clinical significance in controlling blood sugar and disease *** To explore the impact of community public health nursing on treatment effect,health cognition,and self-management in patients with *** One hundred patients with T2DM were selected as the research *** patients were divided into either a conventional nursing group or community nursing(CN)group using the random number table *** conventional nursing group(50 cases)received routine care,while the CN group(50 cases)received community public health care in addition to routine care as that for the conventional nursing *** rate of excellent and good blood glucose control,fasting blood glucose before and after care,2-h postprandial blood glucose,health cognition,and self-management ability,and patient satisfaction were compared between the two *** The CN group had a higher rate of excellent blood sugar control than the conventional nursing group(88%vs 70%,Pgnificant difference in fasting blood glucose or 2-h postprandial blood glucose between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After nursing,fasting blood glucose and 2-h postprandial blood glucose were reduced to varying degrees in both groups,and both blood glucose levels in the CN group were lower than those of the conventional nursing group(Pgnitive level score for diabetes and self-management ability score improved after care in both *** cognitive level and self-management ability of patients in the CN group were higher than those of the conventional nursing group(Pgroup was better than

Prediction of preferential fluid flow in porous structures based on topological network models: Algorithm and experimental validation

The understanding and prediction of preferential fluid flow in porous media have attracted considerable attention in various engineering fields because of the implications of such flows in leading to a non-equilibrium fluid flow in the subsurface. In this study, a novel algorithm is proposed to predict preferential flow paths based on the topologically equivalent network of a porous structure and the flow resistance of flow paths. The equivalent flow network was constructed using Poiseuille's law and the maximal inscribed sphere algorithm. The flow resistance of each path was then determined based on Darcy's law. It was determined that fluid tends to follow paths with lower flow resistance. A computer program was developed and applied to an actual porous structure. To validate the algorithm and program, we tested and recorded two-dimensional(2 D) water flow using an ablated Perspex sheet featuring the same porous structure investigated using the analytical calculations. The results show that the measured preferential flow paths are consistent with the predictions.
