Understanding the relationship between dimensionality and superconductivity has attracted substantial research *** this work,we report the effective modulation of superconductivity in GeP_(5)through *** superconducting phase transition temperature improves by~10%as the thickness of GeP_(5)decreases from bulk to~96 nm,behaving as a unique negative relationship between the superconducting phase transition temperatureand thickness.

Oxidative stress disturbs the balance between the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and the detoxification biological *** plays an important role in the development and progression of many chronic *** exposure to oxidative stress or the inducers of ROS,the cellular nucleus undergoes some biological processes via different signaling pathways,such as stress adaption through the forkhead box O signaling pathway,inflammatory response through the IκB kinase/nuclear factor-κB signaling pathway,hypoxic response via the hypoxia-inducible factor/prolyl hydroxylase domain proteins pathway,DNA repair or apoptosis through the p53 signaling pathway,and antioxidant response through the Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1/nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 signaling *** processes are involved in many ***,oxidative stress has gained more attraction as a targeting process for disease ***,anti-oxidative stress agents have been widely explored in pre-clinical ***,only limited clinical trials are performed to evaluate the efficacy of anti-oxidative stress agents or antioxidants in *** this letter,we further discuss the current clinical trials related to anti-oxidative stress treatment in different *** pre-clinical studies and clinical trials are expected to use anti-oxidative stress strategies as disease treatment or dietary supplementation to improve disease treatment outcomes.

Dynamic programming(DP)is frequently used to obtain the optimal solution to the hybrid electric vehicle(HEV)energy *** trade-off between the accuracy and the computational effort is the biggest problem for the DP *** closed-form solution to the DP is proposed to solve this ***,the affine linear model of the engine fuel rate is obtained based on engine test *** piecewise linear approximation of the motor power demand is obtained considering the different energy flows in the charging and discharging stages of the ***,the second-order Taylor expansion for the cost matrix at each time and state grid point is introduced to get the closed-form solution of the optimal torque *** results show that this method can greatly reduce the computing burden by 93%while ensuring near-optimal fuel economy compared with the conventional DP method.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the pharmacodynamic effects and potential mechanisms of Shuangling extract against ulcerative colitis(UC). METHODS: The bioinformatics method was used to predict the active ingredients and action targets of Shuangling extract against UC in mice. And the biological experiments such as serum biochemical indexes and histopathological staining were used to verify the pharmacological effect and mechanism of Shuangling extract against UC in mice. RESULTS: The Shuangling extract reduced the levels of seruminterleukin-1β(IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-N), interleukin-6(IL-6) and other inflammatory factors in UC mice and inhibited the inflammatory response. AKT Serine/threonine Kinase 1 and IL-6 may be the main targets of the anti-UC action of Shuangling extract, and the TNF signaling pathway, Forkhead box O signaling pathway and T-cell receptor signaling pathway may be the main signaling pathways. CONCLUSION: The Shuangling extract could inhibit the inflammatory response induced by UC and regulate intestinal immune function through multiple targets and multiple channels, which provided a new option and theoretical basis for anti-UC.

Owing to the outstanding properties provided by nontrivial band topology,topological phases of matter are considered as a promising platform towards low-dissipation electronics,efficient spin-charge conversion,and topological quantum *** ferroelectricity in topological materials enables the non-volatile control of the quantum states,which could greatly facilitate topological electronic ***,ferroelectricity is generally incompatible with systems featuring metallicity due to the screening effect of free *** this study,we report the observation of memristive switching based on the ferroelectric surface state of a topological semimetal(TaSe_(4))*** find that the surface state of(TaSe_(4))2I presents out-of-plane ferroelectric polarization due to surface *** the combination of ferroelectric surface and charge-density-wave-gapped bulk states,an electric-switchable barrier height can be achieved in(TaSe_(4))2I-metal *** employing a multi-terminal-grounding design,we manage to construct a prototype ferroelectric memristor based on(TaSe_(4))2I with on/off ratio up to 103,endurance over 103 cycles,and good retention *** origin of the ferroelectric surface state is further investigated by first-principles calculations,which reveal an interplay between ferroelectricity and band *** emergence of ferroelectricity in(TaSe_(4))2I not only demonstrates it as a rare but essential case of ferroelectric topological materials,but also opens new routes towards the implementation of topological materials in functional electronic devices.

When existing deep learning models are used for road extraction tasks from high-resolution images,they are easily affected by noise factors such as tree and building occlusion and complex backgrounds,resulting in incomplete road extraction and low *** propose the introduction of spatial and channel attention modules to the convolutional neural network ***,ConvNeXt is used as the backbone network,which cooperates with the perceptual analysis network UPerNet,retains the detection head of the semantic segmentation,and builds a new model ConvNeXt-UPerNet to suppress noise *** on the open-source DeepGlobe and CHN6-CUG datasets and introducing the DiceLoss on the basis of CrossEntropyLoss solves the problem of positive and negative sample *** results show that the new network model can achieve the following performance on the DeepGlobe dataset:79.40%for precision(Pre),97.93% for accuracy(Acc),69.28% for intersection over union(IoU),and 83.56% for mean intersection over union(MIoU).On the CHN6-CUG dataset,the model achieves the respective values of 78.17%for Pre,97.63%for Acc,65.4% for IoU,and 81.46% for *** with other network models,the fused ConvNeXt-UPerNet model can extract road information better when faced with the influence of noise contained in high-resolution remote sensing *** also achieves multiscale image feature information with unified perception,ultimately improving the generalization ability of deep learning technology in extracting complex roads from high-resolution remote sensing images.

Machine Learning Analysis of Impact of Western US Fires on Central US Hailstorms

Fires,including wildfires,harm air quality and essential public services like transportation,communication,and *** fires can also influence atmospheric conditions,including temperature and aerosols,potentially affecting severe convective ***,we investigate the remote impacts of fires in the western United States(WUS)on the occurrence of large hail(size:≥2.54 cm)in the central US(CUS)over the 20-year period of 2001–20 using the machine learning(ML),Random Forest(RF),and Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGB)*** developed RF and XGB models demonstrate high accuracy(>90%)and F1 scores of up to 0.78 in predicting large hail occurrences when WUS fires and CUS hailstorms coincide,particularly in four states(Wyoming,South Dakota,Nebraska,and Kansas).The key contributing variables identified from both ML models include the meteorological variables in the fire region(temperature and moisture),the westerly wind over the plume transport path,and the fire features(i.e.,the maximum fire power and burned area).The results confirm a linkage between WUS fires and severe weather in the CUS,corroborating the findings of our previous modeling study conducted on case simulations with a detailed physics model.

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)materials with both high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)and fast reverse intersystem crossing(RISC)are strongly desired to realize efficient and stable organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs).Control of excited-state dynamics via molecular design plays a central role in optimizing the PLQY and RISC rate of TADF materials but remains ***,3 TADF emitters possessing similar molecular structures,similar high PLQYs(89.5%to 96.3%),and approximate energy levels of the lowest excited singlet states(S_(1)),but significantly different spin-flipping RISC rates(0.03×10^(6) s^(−1) vs.2.26×10^(6) s^(−1))and exciton lifetime(297.1 to 332.8μs vs.6.0μs)were systematically synthesized to deeply investigate the feasibility of spin-flip between charge-transfer excited states(^(3)CT–^(1)CT)transition.

Flowing water can be used as an energy source for generators,providing a major part of the energy for daily ***,water is rarely used for information or electronic ***,we present the feasibility of a polarized liquid-triggered photodetector in which polarized water is sandwiched between graphene and a *** to the polarization and depolarization processes of water molecules driven by photogenerated carriers,a photo-sensitive current can be repeatedly produced,resulting in a high-performance *** response wavelength of the photodetector can be fine-tuned as a result of the free choice of semiconductors as there is no requirement of lattice match between graphene and the *** zero voltage bias,the responsivity and specific detectivity of Gr/NaCl(0.5 M)W/N-GaN reach values of 130.7 mA/W and 2.3×10^(9)Jones under 350 nm illumination,***,using a polar liquid photodetector can successfully read the photoplethysmography signals to produce accurate oxygen blood saturation and heart *** with the commercial pulse oximetry sensor,the average errors of oxygen saturation and heart rate in the designed photoplethysmography sensor are~1.9%and~2.1%,*** study reveals that water can be used as a high-performance photodetector in informative industries.
