In practical applications,relative humidity in the air is a key factor affecting the photocatalytic removal of NO,which is often overlooked in previous ***,we developed a direct Z-scheme UiO-66-NH_(2)/Bi_(2)MoO_(6)heterojunction with a nanoflower-like structure to systematically investigate the effect of relative humidity on photocatalytic removal of *** optimized heterojunction for the removal efficiency of NO was 71.6%at1.07 mg·m^(-3)NO concentration(relative humidity=10%),and the generation of NO_(2) was only 1.1%.Interestingly,with the increase in relative humidity,it showed a higher inhibition effect on NO_(2),while the removal of NO decreased slightly(8%),which might be attributed to the affinity effect of NO_(2) with water molecules and the competitive adsorption of H_(2)O and NO on the surface of the heterojunction ***,the reaction pathways of NO removal at the developed heterojunctions were revealed by in situ DRIFTS *** work provides a novel vision for the development of direct Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts to effectively remove NO and inhibit the formation of toxic intermediate NO_(2) under different humidities.

Considering the growing global demand for energy and the need for countries to achieve climate goals,there is an increasing global interest in small modular reactors(SMRs)and their *** source term and radiological consequence evaluations of SMRs are key components of nuclear and radiation safety reviews,which affect the site,exclusion area(EAB),and low population zone outer *** on the design characteristics of the SMR and accident analysis results,a theoretical model of a whole-core fuel cladding damage accident was constructed to study the radioactivity released into the environment and its *** accident source term and radiation dose calculation models were established to analyze the released amounts of radionuclides and the total effective dose affecting individuals at the site *** results showed that the amount of radionuclides released into the environment after a whole-core fuel cladding damage accident reached 10^(14) Bq,among which the release amount of ^(133)Xe was the *** total effective dose at the site boundary 30 days after the accident was 8.65 *** highest total effective dose affecting individuals occurred to the *** results of the accident source term and radiological consequence provide technical support for site boundary dose assessments and reviews of SMRs.

A novel calcium-phosphate(Ca–P)-coated magnesium(Mg) membrane used for guided bone regeneration(GBR) was *** microstructural characterization, electrochemical test, immersion test,fluorescence labeling analysis and histopathological evaluation were carried *** results showed that Ca–P coating could obviously improve the corrosion resistance of the pure Mg *** in vivo results showed that Mg membrane coated with Ca–P would take 8 weeks to be completely ***, Mg membrane was completely absorbed within 1 *** evaluation showed that the Ca–P-coated Mg membranes were significantly better than Ti membranes at the early implantation time(4 weeks), and with the time prolonging,the performance of the coated Mg membrane was not as good as pure Ti membranes(but still better than blank group) at 8 and 12 *** coated biodegradable Mg membrane had a good promising application in *** further studies have to be done to further decrease the degradation rate of pure Mg membrane.

The present study explores the physical and acoustic characteristics of fine sand and clay in novel seabed marine sediments from of Pakistan coastline of the Arabian *** measured physical parameters included mean grain size,mass density,bulk density,salinity,porosity,permeability,pore size and mineralogical *** properties,including sound speed and attenuation,in the high frequency range of 90-170 kHz were analyzed.A controlled laboratory setup with the acoustic transmission method and Fourier transform techniques was utilized to examine the sound propagation and absorption of novel seabed *** standard deviation of mean sound speed in fresh water was 0.75 m/s,and attenuation was observed in the range of 0.43 to 0.61 dB/*** mean sound velocity in sand and clay varied from 1706 to 1709 m/s and 1602 to 1608 m/s,*** average attenuation was observed at 80 to 93 dB/m in sandy sediments and from 31.8 to 38.6 dB/m in clayey *** velocity variation within sandy sediment is low,consistent with expected results,and smaller than the predicted ***,clay sediment exhibited a positive linear correlation and low sound speed *** increased linearly with frequency for both ***,the laboratory results were validated by using the Biot−Stoll *** dispersion of sound speed in sandy and clayey sediments was consistent with the predictions of the Biot−Stoll *** attenuation aligned more with Biot−Stoll model predictions due to improved permeability,tortuosity and pore size parameter fitting.

High intraocular pressure(IOP) is one of the high-risk pathogenic factors of glaucoma. Existing methods of IOP measurement are based on the direct interaction with the cornea. Commercial ophthalmic tonometers based on snapshot measurements are expensive, bulky, and their operation requires trained *** contact lenses are easy to use, but they may block vision and cause infection. Here, we report a sensory system for IOP assessment that uses a soft indentor with two asymmetrically deployed iontronic flexible pressure sensors to interact with the eyelid-eyeball in an eye-closed situation. Inspired by human fingertip assessment of softness, the sensory system extracts displacement-pressure information for soft evaluation, achieving high accuracy IOP monitoring(>96%). We further design and custom-make a portable and wearable ophthalmic tonometer based on the sensory system and demonstrate its high efficacy in IOP screening. This sensory system paves a way towards cost-effective, robust, and reliable IOP monitoring.

Perovskite oxides with diverse composition and structure have exhibited grand advances in boosting the oxygen reduction and evolution reaction(ORR/OER),which are essential for the reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cell(R-PCEC)toward the sustainable hydrogen production and ***,enhancement of their activity and stability remains ***,we develop the Ta-regulated BaCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.3)O_(3-δ)perovskite oxygen electrode(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(1-x)Ta_xO_(3-δ))with abundant oxygen defects and achieve the simultaneous enhancement in the electrocatalytic activity and stability toward ORR and ***-fabricated R-PCEC with(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(0.9)Ta_(0.1)O_(3-δ))(BCFT10)oxygen electrode performs high power density of 1.47 W·cm^(-2)at 650℃in fuel cell mode,and the current density is up to-2.11 A·cm^(-2)at 1.4 V at 650℃in electrolysis mode,as well as the good stability in both the fuel cell and electrolysis ***,the cell also demonstrates a stable cycling operation between fuel cell and electrolysis mode,suggesting a great potential of BCFT10 as oxygen electrode material for R-PCECs.

The metallic plasmonic array that can support both propagating surface plasmon polaritons(PSPPs)and localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)possesses rich optical properties and remarkable optical performance,making it a powerful platform for applications in photonics,chemistry,and *** practical applications,the excitation spot is usually smaller than the area of metal *** is thus imperative to address“how many array units are enough?”towards a rational design of plasmonic ***,we employed focused ion beam(FIB)to precisely fabricate a series of plasmonic array structures with increased unit *** utilizing photoluminescence(PL)and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS),we found that the array units outside the excitation spot still have a significant impact on the optical response within the *** with the numerical simulation,we found that the boundary of the finite array leads to the loss of PSPP outside the excitation point,which subsequently affects the coupling of PSPP and LSPR in the excitation spot,leading to variations in PL and SERS *** on the findings,we further tuned the LSPR mode of the metal arrays by electrodeposition to obtain strong near-field enhancement without any influence on the PSPP *** work advances the understanding of near-field and far-field optical behavior in finite-size array structures and provides guidance for designing highly-efficient photonic devices.

It is inevitable to cut reinforced concrete(RC)appeared in cross passage of city metro by cutting tools when constructing in densely populated *** previous cutters employed to cut RC are insufficient and easily damaged,so a new polycrystalline diamond compact(PDC)cutter is used to solve this *** on the theoretical analysis of cutting mechanism,both circular and tapered PDC cutters with cutting edge angle of 90and negative front rack angle of 10are used to cut *** peeling and breaking patterns of cutting concrete are proposed,the nodular and grainy chips are the preferred modes in cutting steel *** LS-DYNA is employed to investigate the cutting performance in *** simulation results show that the average and peak cutting forces increase with the growth of penetration depth,cutting speed,and roundness,and subsequently the recommended penetration depth less than 1.2 mm is obtained to cut RC due to the existence of steel ***,the linear cutting platform is adopted to investigate the force ability and damage state of PDC *** is concluded that the cutting force increases abruptly and fluctuates heavily when cutting the coarse *** patterns occurred in both numerical and experimental results are generally ***,the steel bar is pulled out and the PDC cutter is damaged at the penetration depth of 0.8 mm,while a good cut occurs at the penetration depth of 0.3 *** tapered PDC cutter with a relatively low cutting force is prone to be broken compared with circular PDC *** is suggested that the circular PDC cutter at the penetration depth of 0.3 mm should be used to cut RC in practical engineering.
