The peculiar isomer-selective reduction of(α)-hydroxyiminophosphonates(oxime isomers)into(α)-hydroxyaminophosphonate(hydroxylamine)derivatives is presented.A library of 16(α)-hydroxyiminophosphonates is prepared and studied via a unique multifaceted approach involving the interplay of NMR,XRD,MS,IM-MS and computational chemistry *** combination of NMR,XRD and HPLC enables the seamless separation,identification and quantification of the oxime isomers(e/Z).Tandem MS(MS/MS)enables the determination of the fragmentation patterns for both *** energy breakdown curves highlight the order of apparition of the fragments as well as their related energy of fragmentation,demonstrating that the strength of the C–P bond in the Z isomers is much weaker than in the e *** chemistry demonstrates that favorable protonation site is isomer-dependent with the phosphonate moiety being the favorable protonation site for the e isomers,while protonation occurs preferentially on the amino moiety for Z isomers regardless of the phosphite *** combination of these various methods led an unprecedented level of characterization of oxime isomers,providing a better uderstanding of the isomer-dependent behavior of(α)-hydroxyiminophosphonates.

Clostridium autoethanogenum protein(CAP)is a new single-cell protein source originating from inactivated *** in vitro digestion experiment and an 8-wk growth experiment were conducted to evaluate the molecular weight distribution of the CAP hydrolysate,and the effects of dietary CAP levels on the growth performance,plasma parameters,hepatic and intestinal health,and the diversity of gutadherent microbiota of largemouth bass(Micropterus salmoides).The fish(initial body weight of 47.99±0.01 g)were fed diets where CAP gradually replaced 0%(CAP0),12.5%(CAP12.5),25%(CAP25),37.5%(CAP37.5)and 50%(CAP50)of low-temperature steam dried anchovy fish meal(LTFM)in the *** showed that the content of peptides below 1,000 Da in the CAP hydrolysate(0.56 mg/mL)was higher than that of the LTFM hydrolysate(0.48 mg/mL).Dietary CAP inclusion had no negative effect on growth performance,while whole-body lipid content significantly reduced in the CAP25 and CAP50 groups(Pe plasma alanine aminotransferase activities and triglyceride concentrations in the CAP inclusion groups were significantly lower than those in the CAP0 group(Pe plasma aspartate aminotransferase activity was significantly reduced in the CAP37.5 group(Pe richness and diversity of the gut-adhesive microbiota and the proportion of Clostridium sensu stricto 12 in the CAP50 group were significantly higher than those in the CAP0 group(Petary CAP inclusion inhibited inflammatory responses by down-regulating the mRNA levels of interleukin 1b(IL1b),IL10 and transforming growth factor b1(Pe *** mRNA levels of acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 were significantly down-regulated in the CAP12.5,CAP25 and CAP37.5 groups(Pe that of fatty acid synthase was significantly down-regulated in the CAP50 group(Pese results demonstrate that dietary CAP inclusion could improve the hepatic and intestinal health of largemouth bass,and can be helpful to further develop CA

Our recent studies for nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors identified a highly potent compound JK-4b against WT HIV-1(eC_(50)=1.0 nmol/L),but the poor metabolic stability in human liver microsomes(t_(1/2)=14.6 min)and insufficient selectivity(SI=2059)with high cytotoxicity(CC_(50)=2.08μmol/L)remained major issues associated with *** present efforts were devoted to the introduction of fluorine into the biphenyl ring of JK-4b,leading to the discovery of a novel series of fluorine-substituted NH_(2)-biphenyl-diarylpyrimidines with noticeable inhibitory activity toward WT HIV-1 strain(eC_(50)=1.8–349 nmol/L).The best compound 5t in this collection(eC_(50)=1.8 nmol/L,CC_(50)=117μmol/L)was 32-fold in selectivity(SI=66,443)compared to JK-4b and showed remarkable potency toward clinically multiple mutant strains,such as L100I,K103N,e138K,and *** metabolic stability of 5t was also significantly improved(t_(1/2)=74.52 min),approximately 5-fold higher than JK-4b in human liver microsomes(t_(1/2)=14.6 min).Also,5t possessed good stability in both human and monkey *** significant in vitro inhibition effect toward CYP enzyme and heRG was *** single-dose acute toxicity test did not induce mice death or obvious pathological *** findings pave the way for further development of 5t as a drug candidate.

A green synthesis process of silver nanoparticles in an eco-conceptual approach to sustainable development is reported. This eco-friendly process is based on the valorization of a food waste, the peanut shell carrying natural chemical compounds able to reduce silver ions. The physicochemical characterizations performed to allow for validation of the success of this green chemistry approach: ultraviolet-visible and infrared spectroscopies validate the formation of silver nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction ensures the good crystallinity of these biogenic nanoparticles, while transmission electron microscopy allows highlighting of the morphology of these biosourced colloids. The results of the study of photocatalytic degradation of a model molecule by these biosynthesized nanoparticles demonstrate that they can be part of a completely sustainable process of depollution from its starting point, i.e., the design of the nanoparticle, to the application of pollution remediation.

Real-time methods to monitor stable isotope ratios of CO_2 are needed to identify biogeochemical origins of CO_2 emissions from the soil–air interface. An isotope ratio infra-red spectrometer（IRIS） has been developed to measure CO_2 mixing ratio with δ~13C isotopic signature, in addition to mixing ratios of other greenhouse gases（CH_4, N2_O）. The original aspects of the instrument as well as its precision and accuracy for the determination of the isotopic signature δ~13C of CO_2 are discussed. A first application to biodegradation of hydrocarbons is presented, tested on a hydrocarbon contaminated site under aerobic bio-treatment. CO_2 flux measurements using closed chamber method is combined with the determination of the isotopic signature δ~13C of the CO_2 emission to propose a non-intrusive method to monitor in situ biodegradation of hydrocarbons. In the contaminated area, high CO_2 emissions have been measured with an isotopic signature δ~13C suggesting that CO_2 comes from petroleum hydrocarbon *** first field implementation shows that rapid and accurate measurement of isotopic signature of CO_2 emissions is particularly useful in assessing the contribution of contaminant degradation to the measured CO_2 efflux and is promising as a monitoring tool for aerobic bio-treatment.

Repositories for deep geological disposal of radioactive waste rely on multi-barrier systems to isolate waste from the biosphere.A multi-barrier system typically comprises the natural geological barrier provided by the repository host rock e in our case the Opalinus Clay e and an engineered barrier system(eBS).The Swiss repository concept for spent fuel and vitrified high-level waste(HLW)consists of waste canisters,which are emplaced horizontally in the middle of an emplacement gallery and are separated from the gallery wall by granular backfill material(GBM).We describe here a selection of five in-situ experiments where characteristic hydro-mechanical(HM)and thermo-hydro-mechanical(THM)processes have been *** first example is a coupled HM and mine-by test where the evolution of the excavation damaged zone(eDZ)was monitored around a gallery in the Opalinus Clay(eD-B experiment).Measurements of pore-water pressures and convergences due to stress redistribution during excavation highlighted the HM *** same measurements were subsequently carried out in a heater test(He-D)where we were able to characterise the Opalinus Clay in terms of its THM *** yielded detailed data to better understand the THM behaviours of the granular backfill and the natural host *** a presentation of the Swiss concept for HLW storage,we designed three demonstration experiments that were subsequently implemented in the Mont Terri rock laboratory:(1)the engineered barrier(eB)experiment,(2)the in-situ heater test on key-THM processes and parameters(He-e)experiment,and(3)the full-scale emplacement(Fe)*** first demonstration experiment has been dismantled,but the last two ones are on-going.

The process of ultrafiltration(UF)of natural seawater often encounters the problems of variation in water quality and coastal *** validate the feasibility of UF in shellfish farms,this study compared the hydraulic performance and pollutant removal efficiency of the UF process with those of the commonly used treatments that combine several filtration steps with ultraviolet(UV)*** comparison was conducted in the cases of natural seawater and a coastal *** that the UF process encountered the specific type of pollution,this study evaluated the filtration performance of the UF process and the retention of total suspended solids(TSS),bacteria,phytoplankton,and zooplankton.A real coastal bloom was considered in the case study of an experimental shellfish hatchery/nursery in *** results show that both treatments were able to eliminate approximately 50%of ***,in contrast with UV treatment combined with filtration,the UF process retained total amounts of phytoplankton,zooplankton,and bacteria in the *** the hydraulic performance of the UF process was impacted by the coastal bloom,the fouling was eliminated through chemical cleaning conducted at a frequency less than once per 12 *** the severe pollution,this study confirmed the pollution resistance and treatment performance of the UF process,indicating that UF has the potential to enhance the biosecurity level.
