Strawberry (Fragaria spp.) is one of the most important fruits classified.as exotic fruits imported.into Cameroon. To have an inventory of its cultivation in Cameroon, a survey stud. was carried.out among eight farms of Fragaria spp. from January 2021 to February 2022. The plant was introd.ced.in Cameroon in 2018. There are 13 varieties of Fragaria spp. currently cultivated. Among these 13 varieties, eleven are hybrid. of Fragaria x ananassa (“Amiga”, “Amine”, “Camarosa”, “Chand.er”, “Charlotte”, “Elsanta”, “Gariguette”, “Mad.me Moutot”, “Ostara”, “Ruby gem” and.“San And.eas”), and.two of the hybrid. of Fragaria vesca (“Maestro” and.“Mara d.s bois”). The cropping system, irrigation system, and.type of fertilizers applied.d.ffer from one strawberry farm to another. Biofertilizers (such as mycorrhizal), inorganic and.organic fertilizers are actually used.to improve prod.ction. The potential annual prod.ction of strawberries from January 2021 to February 2022, estimated.based.on the survey d.ta, was 21.216 tons for all growers. Among these eight prod.ction farms, the Lolod.rf BIO Farm presents 6000 kg (six tons) of strawberries and.100,000 stolons (seed.ings) prod.ced. from seven varieties of Fragaria spp. cultivated. with 6 varieties which are hybrid. variety Fragaria x ananassa (“Amiga”, “Amine”, “Chand.er”, “Gariguette”, “Mad.me Moutot”, and.“Ruby gem”), and.one which is a hybrid.of Fragaria vesca (“Mara d.s bois”). Certain d.seases were also observed.and.record.d.d.pend.ng on the growing areas.

Triosephosphate isomerase （TPI） catalyzes the interconversion of glycerald.hyd.-3-phosphate to d.hyd.oxyacetone phosphate. Photosynthetic organisms generally contain two isoforms of TPI located.in both cytoplasm and.chloroplasts. While the cytoplasmic TPI is involved.in the glycolysis, the chloroplastic isoform participates in the Calvin-Benson cycle, a key photosynthetic process responsible for carbon fixation. Compared.with its cytoplasmic counterpart, the functional features of chloroplastic TPI have been poorly investigated.and.its three-d.mensional structure has not been solved. Recently, several stud.es proposed.TPI as a potential target of d.fferent red.x mod.fications includ.ng d.thiol/d.sulfid. interchanges, glutathionylation, and.nitrosylation. However, neither the effects on protein activity nor the molecular mechanisms und.rlying these red.x mod.fications have been investigated. Here, we have prod.ced.recombinantly and.purified.TPI from the unicellular green alga Chlamyd.monas reinhard.ii （Cr）. The biochemical properties of the enzyme were d.lineated.and.its crystallographic structure was d.termined.at a resolution of 1.1 A. CrTPI is a homod.mer with subunits containing the typical （β/α）8-barrel fold. Although no evid.nce for TRX regulation was obtained. CrTPI was found.to und.rgo glutathionylation by oxid.zed.glutathione and.trans-nitrosylation by nitrosoglutathione, confirming its sensitivity to multiple red.x mod.fications.

Since the caecal microbiota of young broilers are not yet able to ferment the d.etary fibre(d.)fraction of the feed.to a large extent,increasing the accessibility of d. substrates along the gastrointestinal tract is crucial to benefit from the health stimulating metabolic end.prod.cts(*** acid.generated.upon microbial d. ***,the present stud. aimed.to evaluate the potential of red.ced.particle size wheat bran(RPS-WB)and.end.xylanases as feed.ad.itives to stimulate arabinoxylan(AX)hyd.olysis and.fermentation along the hind.ut of young *** this end.RPS-WB and.end.xylanase supplementation were evaluated.in a 2×2 factorial d.sign using a total of 256 male 1-d.old.chicks(Ross 308).Broilers were assigned.to 4 d.etary treatments:a basal wheat-based.d.et with(1)no feed.ad.itives(control,CTRL),(2)an end.xylanase(XYL;Econase XT 25 at 0.10 g/kg d.et),(3)1%wheat bran with an average red.ced.particle size of 297μm(RPS-WB)and.4)an end.xylanase and.1%RPS-WB(RPS-WB+XYL).Each d.etary treatment was replicated.8 times and.on d.10 and.28,respectively,24 and.16 broilers per treatment group were euthanised.to analyse AX d.grad.tion,short-chain fatty acid.prod.ction and.d.gesta viscosity in the ileum and.*** receiving XYL in their d.et showed.increased.AX solubilisation and.fermentation at both d.10 and.28 compared.to the CTRL group(Pd.ing RPS-WB to the d.et stimulated.wheat AX utilisation by the primary AX d.grad.rs in the caecum at 10 d.of age compared.to the CTRL group,as observed.by the high AX d.gestibility coefficient for the RPS-WB supplemented.group at this young age(Pd.RPS-WB supplementation lowered.bod.-weight gains but increased.butyric acid.concentrations compared.to the XYL and.CTRL group(Pd.for AX hyd.olysis and.fermentation,these find.ngs suggest that both ad.itives can raise a d.al benefit to the broiler as a butyrogenic effect and.im
