electronic structure and magnetic properties of Cu_(0.5)Zn0.5Cr_(2)s_(4),Cu_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)Cr_(2)s_(4), Li_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)Cr_(2)O_(4) and Li_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)Cr_(2)s_(4) are investigated using the first-principles calculation based on the density functional *** +U exchange correlation is used in the calculation to correct the effective Coulomb repulsion energy of Cr underestimated by LsDA or *** calculation results reveal that half-metallic Cu_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)Cr_(2)s_(4) and Cu_(0.5)Cd_(0.5)Cr_(2)s_(4) can be achieved by doping CuCr_(2)s_(4) with Zn or Cd,though CuCr_(2)s_(4) is not ***-metallic LiCr_(2)O_(4) is experimentally unstable,but half-metallic Li_(0.5)Zn_(0.5) Cr_(2)O_(4) and Li_(0.5)Zn_(0.5) Cr_(2)s_(4) can be achieved by doping Li into experimentally stable ZnCr_(2)O_(4) and ZnCr_(2)s_(4),though ZnCr_(2)O_(4) and ZnCr_(2)s_(4) are not *** influence of +U on the electronic structure and half-metallicity of the doped systems is also presented.

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDH） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnsO4electrolyte （pH=4）.The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Cerebral ischemia is a major health risk that requires preventive approaches in addition to drug *** exercise enhances neurogenesis and synaptogenesis,and has been widely used for functional rehabilitation after *** this study,we determined whether exercise training before disease onset can alleviate the severity of cerebral *** also examined the role of exercise-induced circulating factors in these *** mice were subjected to 14 days of treadmill exercise training before surgery for middle cerebral artery *** found that this exercise pre-conditioning strategy effectively attenuated brain infarct area,inhibited gliogenesis,protected synaptic proteins,and improved novel object and spatial memory *** analysis showed that circulating adiponectin plays a critical role in these preventive effects of *** activation of adiponectin receptors by Adipo Ron mimicked the effects of exercise,while inhibiting receptor activation abolished the exercise *** summary,our results suggest a crucial role of circulating adiponectin in the effects of exercise pre-conditioning in protecting against cerebral ischemia and supporting the health benefits of exercise.

Model selection strategies have been routinely employed to determine a model for data analysis in statistics, and further study and inference then often proceed as though the selected model were the true model that were known a priori. Model averaging approaches, on the other hand, try to combine estimators for a set of candidate models. specifically, instead of deciding which model is the 'right' one, a model averaging approach suggests to fit a set of candidate models and average over the estimators using data adaptive *** this paper we establish a general frequentist model averaging framework that does not set any restrictions on the set of candidate models. It broaden, the scope of the existing methodologies under the frequentist model averaging development. Assuming the data is from an unknown model, we derive the model averaging estimator and study its limiting distributions and related predictions while taking possible modeling biases into *** propose a set of optimal weights to combine the individual estimators so that the expected mean squared error of the average estimator is minimized. simulation studies are conducted to compare the performance of the estimator with that of the existing methods. The results show the benefits of the proposed approach over traditional model selection approaches as well as existing model averaging methods.

Rational design and building of high efficiency,secure and inexpensive electrocatalyst is a pressing demand and performance to promote sustainable improvement of hydrogen *** bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OeR)and hydrogen evolution response(HeR)with high catalytic performance and steadiness in the equal electrolyte are extra treasured and ***,a unique three-dimensional(3D)structure electrocatalyst for NiCo_(2)s_(4)growing on the flower-like NiFeP was designed and synthesized in this *** results show that the flower-like NiCo_(2)s_(4)/NiFeP/NF composite electrocatalyst has large specific surface area,appropriate electrical conductivity,and greater lively websites uncovered in the three-dimensional structure,and affords extraordinary electrocatalytic overall performance for the ordinary water *** alkaline solution,the OeR and HeR overpotentials of NiCo_(2)s_(4)/NiFeP/NF only need 293 mV and 205 mV overpotential to provide the current densities of 100 mA/cm^(2)and 50 mA/cm^(2),*** high electrocatalytic activity exceeds the catalytic activity of most nickel-iron based electrocatalysts for OeR and HeR ***,the optimized NiCo_(2)s_(4)/NiFeP/NF sample has higher stability(24 h)at 1.560 and 10 mA/cm^(2),which extensively speeds up the overall water splitting *** view of the above performance,this work offers a fine approach for the further improvement of low fee and excessive effectivity electrocatalyst.

Given the current shortage of resources and environmental pollution,rationally designing and developing low-cost and highefficiency bifunctional electrocatalysts is an urgent and challenging *** is widely recognized that element doping can effectively improve the electrocatalytic activity by adjusting the microstructure,morphology,and electronic ***,this work rationally designs and prepares three-dimensional flower-like structured W-doped FeNi_(2)s_(4)/Ni_(3)s_(2)/NF heterojunctions as efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water *** 1 M KOH,the prepared W-FeNi_(2)s_(4)/Ni_(3)s_(2)/NF electrocatalyst can effectively drive both hydrogen evolution reaction(HeR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OeR)processes,and only needs overpotentials of 93 and 210 mV to reach current densities of 10 and 50 mA·cm^(−2).In the double electrode cell composed by WFeNi_(2)s_(4)/Ni_(3)s_(2)/NF electrocatalyst,a low cell voltage of 1.52 V was required to reach a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2),and 91.6%of this value was preserved after 24 h electrolysis *** performance of FeNi_(2)s_(4)/Ni_(3)s_(2)/NF electrocatalyst is superior to most of the current bifunctional electrocatalytic *** functional theory(DFT)theoretical calculations also revealed a more intense electron transfer process that can be facilitated by constructing FeNi_(2)s_(4)and Ni_(3)s_(2)/NF interface,which may be the main reason for the archived excellent electrochemical performance.

enzyme-metal hybrid catalysts bridge the gap between enzymatic and heterogeneous catalysis,which is significant for expanding biocatalysis to a broader *** studies have demonstrated that the enzyme-metal hybrid catalysts exhibited considerably higher catalytic efficiency in cascade reactions,compared with that of the combination of separated enzyme and metal ***,the precise mechanism of this phenomenon remains ***,we investigated the diffusion process in enzyme-metal hybrid catalysts using Pd/lipase-Pluronic conjugates and the combination of immobilized lipase(Novozyme 435)and Pd/C as *** reference to experimental data in previous studies,the Weisz-Prater parameter and efficiency factor of internal diffusion were calculated to evaluate the internal diffusion limitations in these ***,a kinetic model was developed and fitted to describe the proximity effect in hybrid *** indicated that the enhanced catalytic efficiency of hybrid catalysts may arise from the decreased internal diffusion limitation,size effect of Pd clusters and proximity of the enzyme and metal active sites,which provides a theoretical foundation for the rational design of enzyme-metal hybrid catalysts.
