The oxidative pentose-phosphate pathway （OPPP） represents a central branch of cellular metabolism emanating from glucose-6-phosphate （G6P） to provide reductive power （NADPH） and sugar phosphates for anabolic biosyntheses. In plant cells, the oxidative OPPP branch is found in the cytosol and in plastids, consisting of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase （G6PD）, 6-phosphogluconolactonase （PGL）, and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase （6PGD）. These enzymes are encoded by small gene families in the nuclear genome, which, in Arabidopsis, comprise six G6PD, five 6-PGL, and three 6-PGD isoforms （Kruger and von Schaewen, 2003）. Specific targeting motifs at the C-terminus of 6-PGL and 6-PGD isoforms suggested that the OPPP may also occur in peroxisomes （Reumann et al., 2004）.

应用复合材料力学理论和有孔介质力学(Poromechanics)理论建立了一个描述硬化硅酸盐水泥浆体弹性模量的细观力学模型,将硬化水泥浆体从不同尺度上划分为4个层次,即C-S-H凝胶、水泥水化产物、水泥浆体骨架和水泥浆体,分别应用不同的细观力学模型予以描述:将C-S-H视为饱和的有孔介质;应用Mori-Tanaka模型描述水泥水化产物的弹性性质;应用三相模型(Three-phase model)模拟水泥浆体骨架的有效弹性模量;最后,再次应用Mori-Tanaka模型和有孔介质理论,计算水泥浆体的排水和不排水弹性模量(Drained and undrainedelastic moduli)。该模型所需要的参数为水泥浆体各个组成部分的自身弹性性质,使用方便。通过预测文献中的实测结果,证明了该模型的有效性。

The randomness of strength and deformation of concrete material is serious and should be considered both in theoretical analyses such as Finite Element Methods and engineering practice, specially for those structural members with a uniform stress field, where stresses or strains are approximately the same under loading. A mathematical ap- proach of producing a series of random variables of the ultimate tensile strain in concrete is proposed to describe the randomness ofconcrete deformation. With reinforced concrete finite elements a real model calculation method is found for the randomness of initial cracks determined by a minimum tension strain within the uniform stress fields of concrete members. The proposed methods in our paper have as aim to improve the existing method used by FEM and other rela- tive approaches, which normally pay less attention to randomness with consequences that may possibly differ from testing or practice. The method and sample computation as indicated is meaningful and comply with testing and engi- neering practice.

The secosteroid hormone vitamin D has, in addition to its effects in bone metabolism also functions in the modulation of immune responses against infectious agents and in inhibiting tumorigenesis. Thus, deficiency of vitamin D is associated with several malignancies, but also with a plethora of infectious diseases. Among other communicable diseases, vitamin D deficiency is involved in the pathogenesis of chronic liver diseases caused by hepatitis B and C viruses(HBV, HCV) and high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency with serum levels below 20 mg/mL in patients with HBV and HCV infection are found worldwide. Several studies have assessed the effects of vitamin D supplementation on the sustained virological response(SVR) to interferon(IFN) plus ribavirin(RBV) therapy in HBV and HCV infection. In these studies, inconsistent results were reported. This review addresses general aspects of vitamin D deficiency and, in particular, the significance of vitamin D hypovitaminosis in the outcome of HBVand HCV-related chronic liver diseases. Furthermore,current literature was reviewed in order to understand the effects of vitamin D supplementation in combination with IFN-based therapy on the virological response in HBV and HCV infected patients.

AIM To investigate possible effects of IRF5 polymorphisms in the 3' UTR region of the IFR5 locus on susceptibilityto hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection and progression of liver diseases among clinically classified Vietnamese *** Four IFR5 SNPs(rs13242262 A/T, rs77416878 C/T, rs10488630 A/G, and rs2280714 T/C) were genotyped in clinically classified HBV patients [chronic hepatitis B(CHB). n = 99; liver cirrhosis(LC), n = 131; hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), n = 149] and in 242 healthy controls by direct sequencing and Taq Man realtime PCR assays. RESULTS Comparing patients and controls, no significant association was observed for the four IFR5 variants. However, the alleles rs13242262 T and rs10488630 G contributed to an increased risk of liver cirrhosis(LC vs CHB: OR = 1.5, 95%CI: 1.1-2.3, adjusted P = 0.04; LC vs CHB: OR = 1.7, 95%CI: 1.1-2.6, adjusted P = 0.019). Haplotype IRF5*TCGT constructed from 4 SNPs was observed frequently in LC compared to CHB patients(OR = 2.1, 95%CI: 1.2-3.3, adjusted P = 0.008). Haplotype IRF5*TCAT occurred rather among CHB patients than in the other HBV patient groups(LC vs CHB: OR = 0.4, 95%CI: 0.2-0.8, adjusted P = 0.03; HCC vs CHB: OR = 0.3, 95%CI: 0.15-0.7, adjusted P = 0.003). The IRF5*TCAT haplotype was also associated with increased levels of ALT, AST and bilirubin. CONCLUSION Our study shows that IFR5 variants may contribute as a host factor in determining the pathogenesis in chronic HBV infections.

In times of increasing global warming,enormous efforts are required to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas(GHG)*** to the EU’s target of climate neutrality by 2050 and the even more ambitious goal of becoming climate-neutral in Germany by 2045,it is necessary to systematically increase energy efficiency and decarbonize the industrial heat *** methods of heat integration can be used to exploit existing potentials for waste heat utilization and to integrate renewable technologies for heating and *** using a non-stationary,multiperiod approach,additional energy savings can be achieved by integrating a thermal energy storage(TES)that enables heat transportation over *** paper presents a simultaneous approach for thermal energy storage integration into multiperiod heat integration *** approach can be used to minimize energy demand,costs and CO 2 emissions and is demonstrated in two case *** case study 1,it is shown that the presented approach is capable of integrating a TES properly into a simple multiperiod heat integration problem with two *** case study 2,a simplified example from a cosmetics manufactory is *** total utility demand can be reduced by up to 44.3%due to TES integration and the energetic optimal storage size can be determined as 125 m *** savings are strongly dependent on the constellation of heat flows between the periods,on the temperature levels and on the storage *** reductions of energy demand,costs and CO 2 emissions can be achieved with TES being properly integrated into a suitable operating environment.

AIM: To present our initial clinical experience using this innovative software solution for guidance of percutaneous structural heart disease ***: Left atrial appendage, atrial septal defect and paravalvular leak closure, transaortic valve repair and Mitra Clip procedures were performed in the catheter laboratory under fluoroscopic and echocardiographic guidance. The two-dimensional and three-dimensional images generated by the transesophageal echocardiography probe were interfaced with the fluoroscopic images in real-time using the Echo Navigator-***:The application of the novel image fusion technology was safe and led to a better appreciation of multimodality imaging guidance due to improved visualization of the complex relationship between catheter devices and anatomical ***:The Echo Navigator-system is a feasible and safe tool for guidance of interventional procedures in structural heart *** innovative technology may improve confidence of interventional cardiologists in targeting and positioning interventional devices in order to increase safety,accuracy,and efficacy of percutaneous interventions in the catheter laboratory.
