FACTORS OF 3GWC SYSTEMS FOR DRAWING UP CUSTOMIZED STRATEGIES OF PROMOTION

This study utilizes fuzzy analytic hierarchy process （FAHP） to analyze decision-making pattems with regard to third-generation wireless communications （3GWC） service adoption, and to provide customized strategic recommendations to suppliers of 3GWC services regarding marketing and resource allocation in the context of the Chinese 3GWC market. First of all, a three-layer hierarchy of 3GWC adoption factors is developed by referring to the relevant literature and industry reports. A questionnaire of pairwise comparisons in the fuzzy AHP format is then designed and distributed to experts familiar with the handset market in Shanghai, China. These surveys are then analyzed using fuzzy AHP to establish an understanding of the weights and impacts of the various factors. The results show that the four most important factors for the adoption of 3GWC systems are：（i） handset price and voice and data-transmission fees; （ii） handset aesthetics; （iii） personalization; and （iv） network coverage. These findings suggest that providers of such services should customize and diversify the content/applications they offer and ensure the speed and reliability of network access. In addition, handset designs should be in accordance with consumer demands. If these steps can be achieved, then consumers will adopt 3GWC services more rapidly.

H_∞ drift control of time-delayed seismic structures

In this paper, an optimal H∞ control algorithm was applied to the design of an active tendon system installed at the first story of a multi-story building to reduce its interstory drift due to earthquake excitations. To achieve optimal control performance and to guarantee the stability of the control system, an optimum strategy to select control parameters γ and α was developed. Analytical expressions of the upper and the lower bounds of γ and α were obtained for a single degree-of-freedom system with state feedback control. The selection ranges for both γ and α are graphically defined so that the controlled system is always stable and the control performance is better than by the conventional LQR control algorithm. Numerical results from a controlled three-story building under real earthquake excitations demonstrate that the peak first interstory drift can be significantly reduced with maximum control force around 10% of the building weight. An optimum design flow chart was provided. In addition, for a time-delayed structure, this study gave explicit formulae to calculate the critical values of γ and a. The system stability and control performance can thus be guaranteed even with time delay.

Traditional monitoring systems that are used in shopping malls or com-munity management,mostly use a remote control to monitor and track speciﬁc objects;therefore,it is often impossible to effectively monitor the entire ***ﬁnding a suspicious person,the tracked object cannot be locked in time for *** research replaces the traditionalﬁxed-point monitor with the intelligent drone and combines the image processing technology and automatic judgment for the movements of the monitored *** intelligent system can effectively improve the shortcomings of low efﬁciency and high cost of the traditional monitor *** this article,we proposed a TIMT(The Intel-ligent Monitoring and Tracking)algorithm which can make the drone have smart surveillance and tracking *** combined with Artiﬁcial Intelligent(AI)face recognition technology and the OpenPose which is able to monitor the phy-sical movements of multiple people in real time to analyze the meaning of human body movements and to track the monitored intelligently through the remote con-trol interface of the *** system is highly agile and could be adjusted immediately to any angle and screen that we ***,the system couldﬁnd abnormal conditions immediately and track and monitor them *** is the system can immediately detect when someone invades the home or community,and the drone can automatically track the intruder to achieve that the two signiﬁcant shortcomings of the traditional monitor will be *** results show that the intelligent monitoring and tracking drone sys-tem has an excellent performance,which not only dramatically reduces the num-ber of monitors and the required equipment but also achieves perfect monitoring and tracking.

Starting flow in a rotating parallel plate channel

The starting flow due to a suddenly applied pressure gradient in a parallel plate channel which is rotating as a system is studied. Exact analytic series solutions to the unsteady Navier-Stokes equations are found by both the Laplace transform method and the separation of parameters method, the latter is shown to be superior. Rotation not only induces a secondary transverse flow but also alters the character of the transient flow rate and velocity profiles. Back flow and inertial oscillations occur, especially at higher rota- tion rates.

Coverage and connectivity-aware clustering within k hops in wireless sensor and actuator networks

Wireless sensor and actuator networks(WSANs)are a new kind of heterogeneous wireless sensor *** actuators should provide maximal coverage for the sensed data,sensor-actuator connectivity is very ***,no research considered both the maximal coverage and connectivity of *** the sensors are out of coverage or the connectivity fails,the actuators cannot perform the correct actions for the area of *** a sensor cannot build a routing path from itself to any actuator,it becomes an orphan *** therefore propose a coverage and connectivity aware clustering within k-hops(CCAC-k).In CCAC-k,sensors pick a cluster head before the actuators have been *** sensors are covered by at least one actuator and there are no orphan sensors in the monitored area,even when deployed *** results demonstrate that the coverage and connectivity of CCAC-k is higher than that of existing WSAN clustering ***-k also deploys fewer actuators than existing clustering solutions In addition,the coverage and connectivity in CCAC-k remains at 100%even under changes in the ratio of the transmission radius of the actuator to that of the sensor or the number of ***,the number of actuators deployed in CCAC-k can be decreased if this or the number of sensors increased.

Recognition of Film Type Using HSV Features on Deep-Learning Neural Networks

The number of films is numerous and the film contents are complex over the Internet and multimedia sources. It is time consuming for a viewer to select a favorite film. This paper presents an automatic recognition system of film types. Initially, a film is firstly sampled as frame sequences. The color space, including hue, saturation,and brightness value(HSV), is analyzed for each sampled frame by computing the deviation and mean of HSV for each film. These features are utilized as inputs to a deep-learning neural network(DNN) for the recognition of film types. One hundred films are utilized to train and validate the model parameters of DNN. In the testing phase, a film is recognized as one of the five categories, including action, comedy, horror thriller, romance, and science fiction, by the trained DNN. The experimental results reveal that the film types can be effectively recognized by the proposed approach, enabling the viewer to select an interesting film accurately and quickly.
