Galectins(Gals)are evolutionarily conserved proteins that bind to b-galactoside containing *** expression of Gals is associated with the development,progression,and metastasis of different types of *** the 11 Gals identified in humans,the roles of Gal-1 and Gal-3 have been extensively investigated in various ***,we summarize the roles of overly expressed Gal-1 and Gal-3 in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The overexpression of Gal-1 and Gal-3 correlates with tumor growth,HCC cell migration and invasion,tumor aggressiveness,metastasis,and poor prognosis.A potentially promising future treatment strategy for HCC may include the combination of immunotherapy with Gal-1 *** research is warranted to investigate targeting Gal-1 and Gal-3 for HCC treatment.

AIM:To investigate the association of polymorphisms of nur-related receptor 1 (Nurr1 ) and development of alcohol dependence in Mexican Americans. METHODS:Peripheral blood samples were collected from 374 alcoholic and 346 nonalcoholic Mexican Americans; these two groups were sex-and age-matched. Sample DNA was extracted and genomic DNA was amplified by polymerase chain reaction. The-2922(C) 2-3 polymerase chain reaction products were digested with Sau96I , alleles of 1345(G/C) , and -1198(C/G) in the regulatory region as well as Ex+132 (G/T/A/C) and Ex+715(T/-) in exon 3 were studied by sequencing. RESULTS:The C2/C2, C2/C3, C3/C3 genotype distribution of -2922(C) 2-3 was 34.4%, 38.2% and 27.5% inthe nonalcoholic group compared to 23.3%, 51.2% and 25.4% in the alcoholic group (P = 0.001). The C/C, C/G, G/G genotype distribution of -1198(C/G) was 23.5%, 46.1% and 30.3% in the nonalcoholic group compared to 13.9%, 50.9% and 35.3% in the alcoholic group (P = 0.007). However, the -1345 (G/C) , Ex3+132(G/T/A/C) and Ex3+715(T/-) alleles were not polymorphic in Mexican Americans, and all those studied had G/G, G/G and T/T genotype for these three alleles, respectively. The -2922(C) 2-3 did not show allele level difference between alcoholic and nonalcoholic individuals, but -1198 (C/G) showed a significant allele frequency difference between alcoholic (39.3%) and nonalcoholic (46.6%) populations (P = 0.005). Excluding obese individuals, significant differences were found at both genotypic and allelic levels for the -2922(C) 2-3 polymorphism (P = 0.000 and P = 0.049) and the -1198 (C/G) polymorphism (P = 0.008 and P = 0.032) between nonobese alcoholics and nonobese controls. Excluding smokers, a significant difference was found only at the genotypic level for the -2922(C) 2-3 polymorphism (P = 0.037) between nonsmoking alcoholics and nonsmoking controls, but only at the allelic level for the -1198(C/G) polymorphism (P = 0.034). The four diversion tunnels at Jinping Ⅱ hydropower station represent the deepest underground project yet conducted in China, with an overburden depth of 1500-2000 m and a maximum depth of 2525 *** tunnel structure was subjected to a maximum external water pressure of 10.22 MPa and the maximum single-point groundwater inflow of 7.3 m^3/s. The success of the project construction was related to numerous challenging issues such as the stability of the rock mass surrounding the deep tunnels, strong rockburst prevention and control, and the treatment of high-pressure, large-volume groundwater infiltration. During the construction period, a series of new technologies was developed for the purpose of risk control in the deep tunnel project. Nondestructive sampling and in-situ measurement technologies were employed to fully characterize the formation and development of excavation damaged zones（EDZs）, and to evaluate the mechanical behaviors of deep rocks. The time effect of marble fracture propagation, the brittleeductileeplastic transition of marble, and the temporal development of rock mass fracture and damage induced by high geostress were characterized. The safe construction of deep tunnels was achieved under a high risk of strong rockburst using active measures, a support system comprised of lining, grouting, and external water pressure reduction techniques that addressed the coupled effect of high geostress, high external water pressure, and a comprehensive early-warning system. A complete set of technologies for the treatment of high-pressure and large-volume groundwater infiltration was developed. Monitoring results indicated that the Jinping II hydropower station has been generally stable since it was put into operation in 2014.

二十世纪末,人类开始了史上最大的技术创新与变革,因计算机及信息科技的发展,不管是在生产、娱乐、交流,甚至是教育,人类社会正在全方位的进入数字时代,当代相继出现几位知名建筑师及事务所有札哈·哈蒂、法兰克·盖瑞、UNStudio等等,他们贡献了很多数字化建筑的作品,同时推动了大量运用数字化手段创建建筑作品的大师问世,知名有北京马岩松的MAD事务所、日本妹岛和世等等,数字建筑在建筑市场上的比重逐渐提高。因此在90年代以后数字化建筑教育也逐渐受到重视,在数字化时代的推动下,建筑教育模式逐渐进入人们的视线中,科学技术的进步也促使该教育的资源越来越多。在邱茂林CAAD TALKS 3(2003)提出它的发展将更胜于一个传统的教育学程,因为数字设计教育在一方面它能与方法、知识与建筑有所交流,而在另一方面,课程则能与历史、科技、设计与专业领域内部沟通。数字化的工具应用在建筑思考、设计、构筑的过程中,已经成为相关设计领域的基本工作型态。如今国内各大专院校在建筑教育上已经纷纷建立起数字化建筑设计相关课程与学程,但无疑的是对于数字建筑设计教学还在摸索中,也尚未建立起一套具有国际竞争力的数字建筑设计教学模式。本研究先对数字建筑教育与非数字建筑教育做出差异性等资料汇整,再以现有落实数字建筑教育较早及经验较为丰富的四间学校,纽约哥伦比亚大学无纸工作室、麻省理工多媒体实验室、伦敦建筑联盟、伦敦大学学院巴特雷建筑学院B-pro学程四间学校在数字建筑设计教学上做出教学案例分析,该四校如何利用数字化时代各种计算机软件技术,探索建筑的数字化设计方法的境况,以建立相关共同特色指标,再利用问卷调查国内修习过数字建筑设计相关课程的学生以建立学生对目前数字建筑设计教学上的影响与问题,以及透过访谈法对在上述四所学校相关课程攻读过的学生来了解该校的教学特色产生的影响与成效,最后对问题的建立与成效的反馈进行分析以提出一些指标给予现今国内大专院校数字建筑设计教学上的建议以及改善相关问题。

An amperometric glucose biosensor based on a tin oxide (SnO_2) electrode has been *** SnO_2 electrode is prepared by depositing the SnO_2 thin film onto a carbon *** fabricate the SnO_2 amperometric glucose biosensor,the glucose oxidase and electron transfer mediator (ferrocenecarboxylic acid,FcA) are coimmobilized on the SnO_2 electrode using *** detection range is up to glucose concentration of 520mg/dl as the applied potential is set at 300mV. Moreover,the most merit for the SnO_2 electrode as the base electrode of the SnO_2 amperometric glucose biosensor is that it can be operated at 150mV constant applied *** interference reduction,detection range,sensitivity and linearity are improved as the SnO_2 thin film is deposited onto a carbon ***,due to the low cost substrate and simple fabrication characteristics,a disposable amperometric glucose biosensor based on the SnO_2 electrode has been realized in this study.

Coronary vasospasm is a rare diagnosis resulting in sudden arrhythmic cardiac arrest. We report a case of a healthy,non-smoking elderly woman resuscitated from arrhythmic cardiac arrest. She had persistent spontaneous coronaxy vasospasm, leading to right ventricular myocardial injury and failure, and shock. She responded quickly to intravenous normal saline bolus infusion, but had irreversible neurological sequelae. Additionally, she had atrial fibrillation preceding ischemic ventricular fibrillation, a rare finding in coronary vasospasm-related cardiac arrest. We suggest immediate coronary angiography of patients in sudden arrhythmic cardiac arrest with acute right ventricular failure for a prompt,accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of the coronary vasospasm.

Mixers in the communication system provide the possibility of encoding and decoding radio-frequency EM waves with signals through the help of local oscillators. A mixer with capability of high conversion gain, good isolation, and good linearity is comparably appreciated. Extensively wide ranges of frequencies, from 5.0 to 18.0 GHz, are to be examined addressing the promising functions of mixers in this study. A TSMC 0.18 μm CMOS model implanted in Agilent ADS is used for the circuit designs. Generated from Gilbert Cell Mixer, the modified circuits take advantage of extra active and passive devices to optimize the conversion gains. Characteristics of high conversion gain over 20 dB or even higher (as high as 29.842 dB at -40 mW RF power at working frequency 6 GHz) and low noise figures (NF) are shown.
