High glucose reduces Nrf2-dependent cRAGE release and enhances inflammasome-dependent IL-1βproduction in monocytes:the modulatory effects of EGCG

Soluble receptor for advanced glycation end products(sRAGE)acts as a decoy sequestering of RAGE ligands,thus preventing the activation of the ligand-RAGE axis linking human ***,the molecular mechanisms underlying sRAGE remain *** this study,THP-1 monocytes were cultured in normal glucose(NG,5.5 mmol/L)and high glucose(HG,15 mmol/L)to investigate the effects of diabetesrelevant glucose concentrations on sRAGE and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)*** modulatory effects of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)in response to HG challenge were also *** enhanced intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation and RAGE *** secretion of sRAGE,including esRAGE and cRAGE,was reduced under HG conditions,together with the downregulation of a disintegrin and metallopeptidase 10(ADAM10)and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)nuclear ***,the HG effects were counteracted by siRAGE and exacerbated by *** immunoprecipitation results showed that Nrf2 binding to the ADAM10 promoter and HG interfered with this *** data reinforce the notion that RAGE and Nrf2 might be sRAGE-regulating *** HG conditions,the treatment of EGCG reduced ROS generation and RAGE ***-stimulated cRAGE release was likely caused by the upregulation of the Nrf2-ADAM10 *** inhibited HG-mediated NLRP3 inflammasome activation at least partly by stimulating sRAGE,thereby reducing IL-1βrelease.

Reversible data hiding is a confidential communication technique that takes advantage of image file characteristics,which allows us to hide sensitive data in image *** this paper,we propose a novel high-fidelity reversible data hiding *** on the advantage of the multipredictor mechanism,we combine two effective prediction schemes to improve prediction *** addition,the multihistogram technique is utilized to further improve the image quality of the stego ***,a model of the grouped knapsack problem is used to speed up the search for the suitable embedding bin in each *** results show that the quality of the stego image of our scheme outperforms state-of-the-art schemes in most cases.

Biogeochemistry of sedimentary organic matter in the Yongjiang River estuary in the southern part of Hangzhou Bay,china,since the Late Pleistocene

A sediment core(YJK19-02)collected from the southern outlet of Hangzhou Bay near the Yongjiang River estuary in East china was analyzed for grain size,lignin,bulk elemental composition,stable carbon isotope,and rare earth elements(REEs)to determine the sources and diagenesis of sedimentary organic matter(OM)of the estuary and adjacent areas since the Late Pleistocene.δ^(13)C values(-24.80‰–-23.60‰),total organic carbon/total nitrogen(TOC/TN)molar ratios(8.00–12.14),and light rare earth element/heavy rare earth element ratios(LREE/HREE=8.34–8.91)revealed the predominance of terrestrial sources of OM,mainly from the changjiang(Yangtze)*** lignin parameters of syringyl/vanillyl(S/V=0.20–0.73)and cinnamyl/vanillyl(C/V=0.03–0.19)ratios indicate the predominance of nonwoody angiosperms,and the vanillic acid/vanillin ratios[(Ad/Al)_(V)=0.32–1.57]indicate medium to high degrees of lignin *** increasing trend ofΛ(total lignin in mg/100-mg OC)values from ca.14500 a BP to ca.11000 a BP reflected the increase in temperature during the Late ***,a time lag effect of temperature on vegetation abundance was also *** relatively higher and stableΛvalues correspond to the higher temperature during the mid-Holocene from ca.8500 a BP to ca.4500 a BP.Λvalues decreased from ca.4000 a BP to the present,corresponding to historical temperature fluctuations during this *** results show that the vegetation abundance in the Yongjiang River Basin since the Late Pleistocene was related to the temperature fluctuation duo to climate change.

In this work,we have developed a robust,cost-effect and friendly to operators and environment process to synthesize the high performance of Si-based composite powder as negative electrode materials for lithium ion batteries(LIBs).The feature of this research includes construction of top-down method using high energy mechanical milling(HEMM) to transform micrometric Si powder of crystalline phase into nanocrystalline/amorphous phase,combining withwet milling in specific medium to further reduced size of Si aggregate,simultaneously transferring function group to the surface of Si resulted in enhancing formation of solid electrolyte interface upon lithiation/***,Alloy designed Si/Cu3 Si composite powder is realized in all solid-state process by HEMM inducing mechanochemical ***3 Si compound strengthens Si-based composite and enhances ***,Si-based composite powder as the negative electrode performs high electrochemical properties and approaches practical and industrial application for LIBs.

BACKGROUND Gallbladder rupture is common in laparoscopic cholecystectomy because the gallbladder is usually in acute or chronic inflammation *** gallstones may sometime be spilled into the peritoneal cavity,resulting in intra-abdominal ab-scess if the gallstones were not *** diagnosis of intra-abdominal ab-scess caused by unretrieved gallstone can usually be correctly identified in the routine imaging studies,such as abdominal ultrasonography or computed tomo-graphy(CT).Here we present a case of abscess formation from unretrieved gall-stone following laparoscopic cholecystectomy,which mimics the imaging findings of metastatic gallbladder *** SUMMARY This case described a 78-year-old man who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy and gallbladder adenocarcinoma was diagnosed after *** adjuvant chemotherapy,the following up abdominal CT showed several small nodules at right upper abdomen and peritoneal carcinomatosis is *** laparoscopic surgery for the excision of seeding tumor was conducted and the pathological diagnosis of the nodules and mass was inflammatory tissues and gallbladder *** Spilled gallstones are a common complication during laparoscopic cholecystectomy and some gallstones fail to be retrieved due to the size or the restricted view of laparoscopic *** spilled gall bladder stones,surgeons may consider regular computerized tomography follow-up,and if necessary,laparoscopic examination can be used as a means of confirming the diagnostic and treatment.

The setting work of backup protection using steady-state current is tedious,and mismatches occasionally occur due to the increased proportion of distributed generations(DGs)connected to the power ***,there is a practical need to study a backup protection technology that does not require step-by-step setting and can be adaptively *** paper proposes an action sequence adaptive to fault positions that uses only positive sequence fault component(PSFC)*** the influence of DGs,the unified time dial setting can be obtained by selecting specific *** protection performance is improved by using the adjacent upstream and downstream protections to meet the coordination time interval in the case of metallic faults at the near-and far-ends of the ***,the expression and implementation scheme for inverse-time backup protection(ITBP)based on the unified characteristic equation is *** results show that this scheme can adapt to DG penetration scenarios and can realize the adaptive coordination of multi-level relays.

Piezoelectric accelerometers excel in vibration *** the emerging trend of fully organic electronic microsystems,polymeric piezoelectric accelerometers can be used as vital front-end components to capture dynamic signals,such as vocal vibrations in wearable speaking assistants for those with speaking ***,high-performance polymeric piezoelectric accelerometers suitable for such applications are *** organic compounds such as PVDF have inferior properties to their inorganic counterparts such as ***,most existing polymeric piezoelectric accelerometers have very unbalanced performance *** often sacrifice resonance frequency and bandwidth for a flat-band sensitivity comparable to those of PZT-based accelerometers,leading to increased noise density and limited application *** this study,a new polymeric piezoelectric accelerometer design to overcome the material limitations of PVDF is *** new design aims to simultaneously achieve high sensitivity,broad bandwidth,and low *** samples were manufactured and characterized,demonstrating an average sensitivity of 29.45 pC/g within a±10 g input range,a 5%flat band of 160 Hz,and an in-band noise density of 1.4μg/√*** results surpass those of many PZT-based piezoelectric accelerometers,showing the feasibility of achieving comprehensively high performance in polymeric piezoelectric accelerometers to increase their potential in novel applications such as organic microsystems.

Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of selective laser-melted PH13-8Mo stainless steel

PH13-8Mo stainless steel powder with high sphericity and well fluidity was prepared by the plasma rotating electrode *** formed parts with ultra-high purity were manufactured by selective laser *** tensile and impact mechanical properties of the printed parts under three heat treatment regimes were compared to those without heat *** microstructure,grain orientation and phase composition were characterized by electron-backscatter diffraction,X-ray diffraction and transmission electron *** characterization results reveal that the addition of heat treatment makes the grains enlarge,and after different heat treatments,the average grain size from 1.51μm in the printed state increases to 2.78,3.09 and 2.06μm,*** formed parts are mainly composed of martensite and retained ***,the NiAl and M23C precipitates form,which are the major strengthening phases of PH13-8Mo stainless *** optimal heat treatment process is 925℃×1 h water cooling(WC)+0℃×2 h air cooling(AC)+540℃×4 h *** this heat treatment process,PH13-8Mo formed parts have the optimal comprehensive mechanical properties:the tensile strength,yield strength and impact energy KU2 are 1492 MPa,1432 MPa and 63 J,*** strengthening and toughening via heat treatment are mainly attributed to dislocation strengthening,the formation of NiAl and M23Co precipitates and the change of volume fraction of the retained austenite.
