Predictive factors of visual function recovery after pituitary adenoma resection： a literature review and Meta-analysis

AIM：To determine the dominant predictive factors of postoperative visual recovery for patients with pituitary ***：Pub Med,Google Scholar,Web of Science and Cochrane Library were searched for relevant human studies,which investigated the prediction of the postoperative visual recovery of patients with pituitary adenoma,from January2000 to may ***-analyses were performed on the primary *** the related data were extracted by two independent investigators,pooled weighted mean difference（WMD）and odds ratio（OR）with 95%confidence interval（CI）were estimated using a random-effects or a fixed-effects ***：Nineteen studies were included in the literature review,and nine trials were included in the Metaanalysis,which comprised 530 patients（975 eyes）with pituitary *** the primary outcomes,there was a significant difference between preoperative and postoperative mean deviation（MD）values of the visual field（WMD-5.85;95%CI：-8.19 to-3.51;P〈0.00001）.Predictivecharacteristics of four factors were revealed in this Metaanalysis by assigning the patients to sufficient and insufficient groups according to postoperative visual field improvements,including preoperative visual field defect（WMD 10.09;95%CI：6.17 to 14.02;P〈0.00001）,patient age（WMD-12.32;95%CI：-18.42 to-6.22;P〈0.0001）,symptom duration（WMD-5.04;95%CI：-9.71 to-0.37;P=0.03）,and preoperative peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer（p RNFL）thickness（OR 0.1;95%CI：0.04 to 0.23;P〈0.00001）.CONCLUSION：Preoperative visual field defect,symptom duration,patient age,and preoperative p RNFL thickness are the dominant predictive factors of the postoperative recovery of the visual field for patients with pituitary adenoma.

Intermolecular synergistic adsorption of indole and carbonyl groups induced by intermolecular hydrogen bonding makes microporous organic polymer(PTICBL)exhibit high CO2 uptake capacity(5.3 mmol·g^-1at 273 K)and selectivities(CO2/CH4=53,CO2/N2=107 at 273 K).In addition,we find that indole units in the PTICBL networks inhibit the attachment of bacteria(*** and ***)on the surface of PTICBL and extend its service life in CO2 capture.

This paper studies the problem of time-varying formation control with finite-time prescribed performance for nonstrict feedback second-order multi-agent systems with unmeasured states and unknown *** eliminate nonlinearities,neural networks are applied to approximate the inherent dynamics of the *** addition,due to the limitations of the actual working conditions,each follower agent can only obtain the locally measurable partial state information of the leader *** address this problem,a neural network state observer based on the leader state information is ***,a finite-time prescribed performance adaptive output feedback control strategy is proposed by restricting the sliding mode surface to a prescribed region,which ensures that the closed-loop system has practical finite-time stability and that formation errors of the multi-agent systems converge to the prescribed performance bound in finite ***,a numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the developed algorithm.

Spectral compressive imaging has emerged as a powerful technique to collect the 3D spectral information as 2D *** algorithm for restoring the original 3D hyperspectral images(HSIs)from compressive measurements is pivotal in the imaging *** approaches painstakingly designed networks to directly map compressive measurements to HSIs,resulting in the lack of interpretability without exploiting the imaging *** some recent works have introduced the deep unfolding framework for explainable reconstruction,the performance of these methods is still limited by the weak information transmission between iterative *** this paper,we propose a Memory-Augmented deep Unfolding Network,termed maUN,for explainable and accurate HSI ***,maUN implements a novel CNN scheme to facilitate a better extrapolation step of the fast iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm,introducing an extra momentum incorporation step for each iteration to alleviate the information ***,to exploit the high correlation of intermediate images from neighboring iterations,we customize a cross-stage transformer(CSFormer)as the deep denoiser to simultaneously capture self-similarity from both in-stage and cross-stage features,which is the first attempt to model the long-distance dependencies between iteration *** experiments demonstrate that the proposed maUN is superior to other state-of-the-art methods both visually and *** code is publicly available at https://***/HuQ1an/maUN.

Gradient microstructure modification is a cost-efficient strategy for high strength without compromising ductility,which is urgently needed in the fundamental science of engineering *** this study,heterogeneous structures of AZ61 alloy bars with anisotropic gradients(with different grain size distributions from the surface to the center)were observed to exhibit strong strength-ductility synergies under different deformation tem *** results reveal that the grain refinement process under mediumlow temperature deformation conditions(≤350℃)consists of four transition stages along the radial direction,i.e.,twin activations and deformation band formations,dislocation cells and pile-ups,ultrafine sub-grains,and randomly orientated quasi-micron *** deformation temperatures have a great influence on twin activations and deformation band formations,and the high temperature can easily provoke the initiation of non-basal *** deformation bands were determined as a primary nucleation site due to their highly unstable dislocation hindrance *** in combination with the Radial forging(RF)deformation process,the differences of dynamic precipitates can be attributed to microstructural difference and solubility limit of Al at different tem *** summarizing the tensile test results,the sample forged at 350℃exhibited the best strength-ductility synergy,exhibiting the highest elongation(EL)of 23.2%with a 251 MPa yield strength(YS)and 394 MPa ultimate tensile strength(UTS)in center region,and combined with the highest strength value of 256 MPa YS and 420 MPa UTS in the center region,while the EL was slightly degraded to 19.8%.

The nature of solid-liquid interfaces is of great significance in *** advances have been made in lubrication based on hydration ***,a detailed molecular-level understanding is still ***,we investigated water molecule behaviors at the TiO2-aqueous interfaces by the sum-frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG-VS)and atomic force microscope(AFM)to elucidate the fundamental role of solid-liquid interfaces in *** contributions of water structures and hydration effects were revealed,where water structures played the dominant role in lubrication for TiO2 surfaces of varying hydrophilicity,while hydration effects dominated with the increasing of ion *** lubrication is observed on the initial TiO2 surfaces with strongly H-bonded water molecules compared to the hydrophilic TiO2 surfaces with more disordered *** stable ordered water arrangement with strong hydrogen bonds and the shear plane occurring between the ordered water layer and subsequent water layer may play a significant role in achieving lower *** adsorbed hydrated molecules with the increasing ionic concentration perturb ordered water but lead to the enhancement of hydration effects,which is the main reason for the improved lubrication for both *** work provides more insights into the detailed molecular-level understanding of the mechanism of hydration lubrication.

Recent studies indicated that vitamin A(VA)might be involved in the pathology of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).This cross-sectional study was conducted to explore the association between circulating VA level and T2DM.A total of 1818 subjects aged 50 years old and above were recruited from the *** logistic regression and restricted cubic spline(RCS)were applied to analyze the association of plasma VA level with the risk of *** VA and lipid-adjusted VA levels of T2DM patients were significantly higher than that of non-T2DM subjects(Pma VA/total cholesterol(TC),VA/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c)and VA/low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c)were positively associated with the risk of T2DM in the aging population(Pma VA/triglyceride(TG)have decreased risk of T2DM(odds ratio(OR)Q2=0.68,P_(Q2)=0.021;ORQ3=0.59,P_(Q3)ma VA/TC,VA/HDL-c,and VA/LDL-c displayed increased risk for T2DM,but the moderate ratio of VA/TG might protect against risk of T2DM.

Effective and mild activation of O_(2) is essential but challenging for aerobic oxidation. In heterogeneous catalysis, high-valence manganese oxide(e.g., +4) is known to be active for the oxidation, whereas divalent MnO is ineffective due to its limited capacity to supply surface oxygen and its thermodynamically unstable structure when binding O_(2) in reaction conditions. Inspired by natural enzymes that rely on divalent Mn^(2+), we discovered that confining Mn^(2+) onto the Mn_(2)O_(3) surface through a dedicated calcination process creates highly active catalysts for the aerobic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, benzyl alcohol, and *** Mn_(2)O_(3)-confined Mn^(2+) is undercoordinated and efficiently mediates O_(2) activation, resulting in 2–3 orders of magnitude higher activity than Mn_(2)O_(3) alone. Through low-temperature infrared spectroscopy, we distinguished low-content Mn^(2+) sites at Mn_(2)O_(3) surface, which are difficult to be differentiated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The combination of in-situ energydispersive X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction further provides insights into the formation of the newly identified active Mn^(2+) sites. By optimizing the calcination step, we were able to increase the catalytic activity threefold *** finding offers promising frontiers for exploring active oxidation catalysts by utilizing the confinement of Mn^(2+)and oftenignored calcination skills.

The eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in china are a typical mountainous region of soil and gravel,where gravel could affect the water movement process in the *** study focused on the effects of different gravel contents on the water absorption characteristics and hydraulic parameters of stony *** stony soil samples were collected from the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in April 2023 and used as the experimental materials to conduct a one-dimensional horizontal soil column absorption *** experimental groups with gravel contents of 0%,10%,20%,30%,40%,and 50%were established to determine the saturated hydraulic conductivity(K_(s)),saturated water content(θ_(s)),initial water content(θ_(i)),and retention water content(θ_(r)),and explore the changes in the wetting front depth and cumulative absorption volume during the absorption *** Philip model was used to fit the soil absorption process and determine the soil water absorption *** the length of the characteristic wetting front depth,shape coefficient,empirical parameter,inverse intake suction and soil water suction were derived from the van Genuchten ***,the hydraulic parameters mentioned above were used to fit the soil water characteristic curves,unsaturated hydraulic conductivity(K_(θ))and specific water capacity(C(h)).The results showed that the wetting front depth and cumulative absorption volume of each treatment gradually decreased with increasing gravel *** with control check treatment with gravel content of 0%,soil water absorption rates in the treatments with gravel contents of 10%,20%,30%,40%,and 50%decreased by 11.47%,17.97%,25.24%,29.83%,and 42.45%,*** the gravel content increased,inverse intake suction gradually increased,and shape coefficient,K_(s),θ_(s),andθ_(r)gradually *** the same soil water content,soil water suction and K_(θ)gradually decreased with increasing gravel *** the same soil water s
