Photocatalytic Activity of Nanosized ZnWO_4 Prepared by the Sol-gel Method

Nanosized ZnWO4 photocatalysts were successfully synthesized via the sol-gel process in a temperature range of 450-800℃. The grain size, crystal size, and crystallinity of ZnWO4 particles increased with the increase of calcina- tion temperature and prolonging calcination time. The photocatalytic activity was measured for the degradation of an aqueous Rhodamine-B（RhB） solution and gaseous formaldehyde（FAD）. With the increase of calcination temperature and time, the activities increased to a maximum and then decreased. ZnWO4 photocatalyst prepared at 550℃ for I0 h showed the highest activity, which is similar to the photocatalytic activity of P25TiO2 for the degradation of gase-ous FAD. High crystallinity, large surface area, and good dispersion are responsible for the high photocatalytic per- formance of the prepared ZnWO4.

The development of effective and sustainable solutions for pleiotropic water purification becomes urgent and *** Fenton-like catalysts for activation of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to purify organic wastewater show great *** this work,by tuning metal loading with an in-situ polydopamine coating strategy,oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4) loading on N-doped carbon nanotubes(CNTs)were constructed to enhance PMS activation efficiency for pollutants ***,the obtained modified CNTs afford a well-developed N-containing network structure,which is further endowed with abundant Co(Ⅱ)/Co(Ⅲ)redox cycles and significant metal-carbon *** particular,the surface N doping in CNTs might induce the oriented enrichment of pollutants around the catalyst,which reduces the migration distance and correspondingly improves the utilization of reactive oxidative *** electron transfer efficiency of the catalyst can be further improved by incorporating oxygen vacancy-enriched Co_(3)O_(4).The performance results show that the optimal NC/Co-1 could mineralize 20×10^(-6)of bisphenol A(BPA)by almost 98%in 8 min.A low reaction activation energy(26.05 kJ·mol^(-1))in BPA degradation was demonstrated by the NC/*** importantly,NC/Co-1 can inherit excellent degradation performance towards oxytetracycline,2,4-dichlorophenol,and tetracycline,showing wide practical *** addition,by virtue of the photothermal conversion property,NC/Co-1 achieves an additive function for interfacial solar water evaporation(1.84 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1),112.51%),showing impressive potential for clean water recovery under complicated environmental pollution conditions.

Visible light-driven environmentally friendly ZnO semiconductor for durable photocatalytic disinfection and purification of drinking water is very ***,the high requirement in ultraviolet absorption and rapid recombination velocity of the photogenerated electron-hole severely hamper the sustainable implementation of ZnO in ***,by one"two birds with one stone"strategy,Fe-doping ZnO porous nanosheets(Fe-ZnOPN)composed of ultrafine nanoparticles can be constructed by hydrothermal synthesis of basic zinc carbonate and controlled low-temperature pyrolytic *** highly concentrated Fe-doping effect(>7 wt%),the tailoring ZnO nanograin size(~10 nm)and rich oxygen vacancy of catalyst were accessed by ion/vacancy diffusion and nanocrystal rearrangement,superior to the ZnO porous nanosheets(~37 nm).The obtained Fe-ZnOPN were endowed with a larger specific surface area,improved visible light harvesting ability,light response and separation of charge *** characters allowed the resulting catalyst to afford a 100%bactericidal efficiency against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus under visible light irradiation(>420 nm).Impressively,the Fe-ZnOPN could show practical disinfection ability in different water resources and multiple reuse *** mechanism study revealed that excellent photocatalytic disinfection performance of Fe-ZnOPN correlated with the in situ generated active oxidative substances,destruction of bacterial biofilm and resulting nucleic acids leakage,thereby causing irreversible physical *** study provided a new reference for designing environmentally friendly photocatalytic sterilization materials and disinfectants,which can be used in the practical disinfection of drinking water.

The early detection of diabetic retinopathy is crucial for preventing ***,it is time-consuming to analyze fundus images manually,especially considering the increasing amount of medical *** this paper,we propose an automatic diabetic retinopathy screening method using color fundus *** approach consists of three main components:edge-guided candidate microaneurysms detection,candidates classification using mixed features,and diabetic retinopathy prediction using fused features of image level and lesion *** divide a screening task into two sub-classification tasks:(1)verifying candidate microaneurysms by a naive Bayes classifier;(2)predicting diabetic retinopathy using a support vector machine *** approach can effectively alleviate the imbalanced class distribution *** evaluate our method on two public databases:Lariboisière and Messidor,resulting in an area under the curve of 0.908 on Lariboisière and 0.832 on *** scores demonstrate the advantages of our approach over the existing methods.

Photothermal material applied in environmental governance has attracted growing *** combining the Stober method and dopamine-triggered coating strategy,Co-Mn precursor was in situ incorporated into the poly dopamine(PDA)layer over the surface of silica ***,a unique photothermal nanosphere with SiO_(2)core and thin carbon layer and dual Co-Mn oxides shell was allowed to form by sequential heat treatment in the inert atmosphere(SiO_(2)@CoMn/C).The bimetallic fraction of Co/Mn in the carbon layer and post-treatment calcination temperature was comprehensively tuned to optimize the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation performance of the *** state of bimetallic species was studied including their physical distribution,chemical valence,and interplay by various ***,Co oxides appear as dominant monodispersed nanoparticles(~10 nm),while Mn with cluster-like morphology is observed to uniformly distribute over thin-layer carbon and adhered to the surface of SiO_(2)nanospheres(~250 nm).The calcined temperature could tune the oxidized state of Co species,leading to the optimization of the catalytic performance of introduced dual metal *** a result,this obtained optimal catalyst integrated the advantages of exposed bimetallic CoMn species and N-doped thin carbon to deliver excellent catalytic PMS activation performance and photothermal synergetic catalytic mineralization ability for diversiform *** reactions condition controls and anion interference studies were conducted to identify the adaptability of the optimal ***,the application of solar-driven interfacial water evaporation using optimal SiO_(2)@Co_3Mn_1/C-600 catalyst was explored,showing a high water evaporation rate of 1.48 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1)and an efficiency of 95.2%,further revealing a comprehensive governance functionality of obtained material in the complex pollution condition.

Selection of primary trisomics of the cabbage （Brassica oleracea *** L） forms an important basis for gene chromosome mapping and for other genetic studies. The cabbage self-fertilization line - 9601 was used as material, using the root-tip cell chromosome number and pollen mother cell chromosome number identification and karyotype analysis to select the primary trisomics from the progenies of 3x x 2x in the cabbage. Many aneuploid plants with one or two extra chromosomes were obtained and a set of primary trisomics （Tri-1, Tri-2, Tri-3, Tri-4, Tri-5, Tri-6, Tri-7, Tri-8, and Tri-9, in which the Tri-1 and Tri-4 were from 2n＋2 plants and others from 2n＋ 1 plants） was acquired from these plants. Each trisomic exhibited some unique features, such as plant height, plant type, leaf type, size of flower bud, and inflorescence. The triploid crossing by the diploid is a convenient and effective way to select trisomics in the cabbage.
