The dynamic characteristics of ground soil using micro-tremor observation in Asia (Zushi and Ogasawara (Japan), Xi’an (China), Manila (Philippines), and Gujarat (India)) are studied. Ground micro-tremor signals were observed and analyzed by fast Fourier transform method (FFT). The response of ground soil to frequency of ground micro-tremor is revealed, and func- tions with frequency-dependence and frequency-selection of micro-tremor for different foundation soil strata are also researched. The horizontal to vertical spectral ratio (H/V, Nakamura technique) of micro-tremor observed at the surface ground was used to evaluate the site’s predominant period. This paper also discusses the application of micro-tremor on site safety evaluation, and gives the observed calculation results obtained at multiple points. The experimental foundation and the deduction process of the method are described in detail. Some problems of the method are pointed out. Potential use of the technique’s good expandable nature makes it a useable means for preventing and reducing disaster’s harmful effects.

A novel Ni doped carbon quantum dots(Ni-CQDs)fluorescence probe was synthesized by facile electrolysis of monoatomic Ni dispersed porous carbon(Ni–N–C).The obtained Ni-CQDs showed a high quantum yield of 6.3%with the strongest excitation and emission peaks of 360 nm and 460 nm,and maintained over 90%of the maximum fluorescence intensity in a wide p H range of 3–*** metal ions detectability of Ni-CQDs was enhanced by Ni doping and functional groups modification,and the rapid and selective detection of Fe^(3+)and Cu^(2+)ions was achieved with Ni-CQDs through dynamic and static quenching mechanism,*** one hand,the energy band gap of Ni-CQDs was regulated by Ni doping,so that excited electrons in Ni-CQDs were able to transfer to Fe^(3+)*** the other hand,the abundant functional groups promoted the generation of static quenching complexation between Cu^(2+)and *** metal ions detection,the linear quantitation range of Fe^(3+)and Cu^(2+)were 100–1000μM(R^(2)=0.9955)and 300–900μM(R^(2)=0.9978),*** limits of detection(LOD)were calculated as 10.17 and 7.88μM,***,the fluorescence quenched by Cu^(2+)could be recovered by eDTA2-due to the destruction of the static quenching *** this way,NicQDs showed the ability to identify the two metal ions to a certain degree under the condition of Fe^(3+)and Cu^(2+)*** work paves the way of facile multiple metal ion detection with high sensitivity.

Salt stress limits plant growth and *** this study,changes in membrane lipids were investigated in leaves of sorghum seedlings subjected to salt stress(150 mmol L^(-1)NaCl).Galactolipids(DGDG and MGDG)accounted for more than 65%of the total glycerolipids in sorghum *** predominance of C36 molecular species in MGDG suggested that sorghum is an 18:3 *** Na Cl treatment,the content of major phospholipids(PC and Pe)increased,accompanied by the activation of their metabolism pathways at the transcriptional *** contrast,the proportion of MGDG and PG dropped drastically,leading to a decreased ratio of plastidic to non-plastidic *** adjustment of glycerolipid pathway between the cytosolic and plastidic compartments was triggered by salt stress,as reflected by the increased conversion of PC to PA,providing precursors for galactolipid *** elevated DGDG resulted in increased DGDG/MGDG and bilayer/non-bilayer lipid *** double-bond index of PC,Pe,and DGDG increased markedly,evidently owing to the increased expression of FAD3 and *** findings will be helpful for understanding dynamic membrane lipid changes and adaptive lipid remodeling in sorghum response to salt stress.

Objective Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)has become a global concern and is especially severe in *** effectively and reliably provide AMR data,we developed a new high-throughput real-time PCR assay based on microfluidic dynamic technology,and screened multiple AMR genes in broiler fecal *** A high-throughput real-time PCR system with an new designed integrated fluidic circuit assay were performed AMR gene detection.A total of 273 broiler fecal samples collected from two geographically separated farms were screened AMR *** The new assay with limits of detection ranging from 40.9 to 8,000 copies/*** sensitivity rate,specificity rate,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and correct indices were 99.30%,98.08%,95.31%,99.79%,and 0.9755,*** this assay,we demonstrate that AMR genes are widely spread,with positive detection rates ranging from 0 to 97.07%in 273 broiler fecal *** CTX-M,bla TeM,mcr-1,fex A,cfr,optr A,and int I1 showed over 80%*** dissemination of AMR genes was distinct between the two *** We successfully established a new high-throughput real-time PCR assay applicable to AMR gene surveillance from fecal *** widespread existence of AMR genes detected in broiler farms highlights the current and severe problem of AMR.

Phospholipase C zeta(PLC)is a key sperm-borne oocyte-activating factor that triggers Ca^(2+)oscillations and the subsequent block to polyspermy following gamete *** in PLCZ1,the gene encoding PLCζ,cause male infertility and intracytoplasmic sperm injection(icSI)fertilization failure;and PLCζ expression and localization patterns are significantly correlated with icSI fertilization rate(FR).However,in conventional in vitro fertilization(cIVF),whether and how sperm PLCζ affects fertilization remain ***,we identified one previously reported and two novel PLCZ1 mutations associated with polyspermy in vitro that are characterized by excessive sperm-zona binding and a delay in pronuclei(PN)*** staining and oocyte activation testing revealed that virtually all spermatozoa from patients lacked functional PLCζ and were thus unable to evoke Ca^(2+) *** with an artificial oocyte activation treatment successfully rescued the polyspermic phenotype and resulted in a live ***,we analyzed PLCζ in an additional 58 males after cIVF treatment in the Reproductive and genetic Hospital of CiTic-Xiangya(Changsha,China)between February 2019 and January *** found that the proportion of spermatozoa that expressed PLCζ was positively correlated with both 2PN rate and total *** optimal cutoff value below which males were likely to experience low FR(total FR≤30%)after clVF was 56.7%for the proportion of spermatozoa expressing *** study expands the mutation and the phenotypic spectrum of PLCZ1 and further suggests that PLCζ constitutes a promising biomarker for identifying low FRs cases in cIVF due to sperm-related oocyte activation deficiency and that sperm PLCζ analysis may benefit the widermale population and not onlymen with icsI failure.

Thymol Protects against Aspergillus Fumigatus Keratitis by Inhibiting the LOX-1/IL-1βSignaling Pathway

Objective To explore the anti-inflammatory effects and mechanisms of action of thymol in Aspergillus fumigatus(***)*** The minimum inhibitory concentration of thymol against *** was *** characterize the anti-inflammatory effects of thymol,mouse corneas and human corneal epithelial cells were pretreated with thymol or dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)before infection with *** ***-lamp microscopy,immunohistochemistry,myeloperoxidase detection,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,and Western blotting were used to assess *** and macrophage recruitment,in addition to the secretion of LOX-1 and IL-1β,were quantified to evaluate the relative contribution of thymol to the inflammatory *** We confirmed that the growth of *** was directly inhibited by *** contrast with the DMSO group,there was a lower degree of inflammation in the mouse corneas of the thymol-pretreated *** was characterized by significantly lower clinical scores,less inflammatory cell infiltration,and lower expression of LOX-1 and IL-1β.Similarly,in vitro experiments indicated that the production of LOX-1 and IL-1βwas significantly inhibited after thymol treatment,in contrast with the DMSO-pretreated *** Our findings demonstrate that thymol exerted a direct fungistatic activity on ***,thymol played a protective role in fungal keratitis by inhibiting LOX-1/IL-1βsignaling pathway and reducing the recruitment of neutrophils and macrophages.
