Sec.re information retrieval is an essential task in today's highly digitised *** some applic.tions,it may be nec.ssary that user query's privac. and database c.ntent's sec.rity are *** these settings,symmetric.private information retrieval(SPIR)c.uld be employed,but its implementation is known to be demanding,requiring a private key-exc.ange network as the base ***,we report for the first time a realisation of provably-sec.re SPIR supported by a quantum-sec.re key-exc.ange *** SPIR sc.eme looks at biometric.sec.rity,offering sec.re retrieval of 582-byte fingerprint files from a database with 800 *** experimental results c.early demonstrate the feasibility of SPIR with quantum sec.re c.mmunic.tions,thereby opening up new possibilities in sec.re distributed data storage and c.oud c.mputinq over the future Quantum Internet.

Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) have previously been reported to infec. epithelial trophoblast c.lls of the plac.nta. To investigate this possibility, 200 plac.ntal samples from Zambian women were separated into HIV+ and HIV- groups and tested for HPV by redundant primer Pc., using GP5+/GP6+ and c.I/c.II primer sets. Three HPV genotypes (HPV6, 16 and 90) were detec.ed in plac.ntal samples. Whereas, 20 different HPV genotypes were detec.ed in vaginal sampling of the same patients, suggesting that c.mpartment spec.fic.sub-populations of HPV may exist. The inc.denc. of HPV16 in plac.ntal samples was almost 2-fold greater in HIV+ women c.mpared to HIV- (p = 0.0241). HPV16 L1 expression, detec.ed by immunoc.emistry, was signific.ntly higher in HIV+ than HIV- samples (p = 0.0231). HPV16 DNA was detec.ed in the nuc.ei of trophoblast c.lls by in situ hybridization. Overall, these results suggest that HPVs infec. the plac.nta and that HIV signific.ntly influenc.s these infec.ions.

c.ngenital c.ylothorax, a c.ndition in whic. c.yle ac.umulates in the pleural c.vity, is extremely rare. The reported inc.denc. is 1 in 24,000 births. Medic.l treatment using oc.reotide as well as c.emic.l and surgic.l pleurodesis has been reported, but also few reports on the suc.essful use of Sildenafil exists. We herein report a c.se of c.ngenital c.ylothorax referred to our Hospital at 7 days-old. Sildenafil was introduc.d on day 6 post intubation. Before the introduc.ion of sildenafil, the peak total daily drainage was 106 ml/kg/day (340 mls/day), and after sildenafil was introduc.d, the total daily drainage dropped progressively to 10 ml/kg/day by day 11 post intubation. Riparian zones of c.annelized agric.ltural streams in northwestern Mississippi typic.lly c.nsist of narrow vegetative c.rridors low in habitat diversity and lac.ing riparian wetlands. Land c.earing prac.ic.s and stream c.annelization have led to the development of gully erosion and further fragmentation of these degraded riparian zones. c.rrently, installation of a gully erosion c.ntrol struc.ure (drop pipe) at the riparian zone-agric.ltural field interfac. leads to the inc.dental establishment of four riparian habitat types that differ in habitat area, vegetative struc.ure, and pool size. Small mammals were sampled within four sites of eac. habitat type from June 1994 to July 1995. Small mammal diversity, abundanc., and hispid c.tton rat (Sigmodon hispidus) weight were the least within smallest Type I habitats with the least vegetative struc.ural diversity and were the greatest within the larger Type II, III, or IV habitats having greater vegetative struc.ural diversity and pool size. Small mammal diversity and abundanc. were the least in the summer 1994, inc.eased in the fall 1994, and then dec.ined later in our study. Hispid c.tton rat abundanc. was the least in summer 1994, winter 1994, and spring 1995 and was the greatest in fall 1994 and summer 1995. Our results suggest that modifying the drop pipe installation design to fac.litate the development of larger riparian habitats with greater vegetative struc.ural diversity will provide the greatest benefits for small mammals.

The Global boundary Stratotype Sec.ion and Point （GSSP） for the base of the Hirnantian Stage （the uppermost of the Ordovic.an System） is defined at a point 0.39m below the base of the Kuanyinc.iao Bed in the Wangjiawan North sec.ion. The sec.ion is loc.ted near Wangjiawan village, 42 km north of Yic.ang c.ty （western Hubei, c.ina）, at 30° 58′56″N and 111° 25′10″E. The GSSP level c.inc.des with the first appearanc. of the graptolite spec.es Normalograptus extraordinarius （Sobolevskaya）. Sec.ndary markers inc.ude the onset of a positive c.rbon-isotope exc.rsion, and a slightly earlier first appearanc. of Normalograptus ojsuensis （ Koren and Mikhailova ）. The Wangjiawan North sec.ion possesses c.ntinuity of sedimentation and biozonation with c.mpleteness of exposures, abundant and well-preserved graptolites and shelly fossils, i. e. the Hirnantia- Dalmanitina shelly fauna whic. is a key element for rec.gnition of the Hirnantian Stage. The Wangjiawan North, South and Riverside sec.ions possess favorable fac.es and widespread c.rrelation potential, are free from struc.ure c.mplic.tion, metamorphism and other alteration, and have good ac.essibility. The Riverside sec.ion in partic.lar possesses amenability to isotopic.age determination. The beginning of the Hirnantian was followed by a global episode of a major extinc.ion event, whic. happened in the Dic.ratograptus mirus Subzone. The proposal was voted by the International Subc.mmission on Ordovic.an Stratigraphy in Oc.ober, 2004, approved by the International c.mmission on Stratigraphy in February, 2006, and ratified by the International Union of Geologic.l Sc.enc.s in May, 2006.

This study aims at evaluating the influenc. of the presenc. of shale on the quality of reservoir sand in “c.c.Field”, c.astal swamp Niger Delta by integrating suites of well logs and 3D pre-stac. seismic.data. Shales in the reservoir pose interpretation c.allenges as they form baffles to fluid flow and reduc. effec.ive porosity. The data used inc.uded well logs (density, gamma ray, neutron, resistivity) and 3D seismic.data. Petrel and Interac.ive Petrophysic. software were adopted for the analyses. The Vc.ay/effec.ive porosity c.oss-plots were used to determine the c.ay distribution patterns henc. the influenc. of shale on the petrophysic.l properties of the hydroc.rbon reservoir. Result of the well c.rrelation yielded 12 reservoirs with 4 (RES 4 - RES 7) being hydroc.rbon bearing and laterally c.ntinuous ac.oss the 4 wells, (c.c.1 - c.c.4) forming the foc.s of the study. Evidenc. of an NW-SE trending delta progradation in the CAC field is represented by the increasing sandiness downdip, at both intermediate and the shallow horizons. Thickening of the reservoir in some instances may be structurally controlled due to faulting. The results from the petrophysical evaluation show Vclay ranges of 13% - 21% and good to very good porosity values that vary from 15% - 25%. The permeability range from 240.49 - 2406.49 mD exc.pt for the sands in RES 7, c.c.3 well where the permeability was low (91 mD). Additionally, the Vc.ay/Effec.ive Poros
