This report evaluates the use of elec.ric.l method and borehole data to investigate the subsurfac. to delineate the groundwater potential in Enugu metropolis and the environs, south-eastern Nigeria other than rely only on resistivity method which could lead to interpretation error. Integrating these 2 data sets is key in this study. The study area is located in the Anambra Basin and is underlain by Nkporo/Enugu Shale which is overlain by the Mamu Formation. It is bounded by Latitudes 6°2 0'00"N to 6°30'00"N and Longitudes 7°25'00"E to 7°35'00"E and covers surface area of about 342 m2. Thirty-one vertical electrical soundings (VES) were carried out across the area using the Schlumberger electrode array with current electrode separation from 2 to 500 m to identify the depths and resistivity values of the identified geo-electric layers. Through data analysis using WinResist software, the apparent resistivity, thicknesses and depths and the thicknesses of the aquifers were generated. BAc.GROUND Survival in patients with autoimmune liver disease overlap syndromes(AILDOS)c.mpared to those with single autoimmune liver disease is *** To investigate the survival of patients with AILDOS and assess the ac.urac. of non-invasive serum models for predic.ing liver-related *** Patients with AILDOS were defined as either autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary c.olangitis overlap(AIH-PBc.or autoimmune hepatitis and primary sc.erosing c.olangitis overlap(AIH-PSc.and were identified from three tertiary c.ntres for this c.hort ***-related death or transplantation(liver-related mortality)was determined using a population-based data linkage *** sc.res for liver-related death were c.mpared for ac.urac.[inc.uding liver outc.me sc.re(LOS),Hepasc.re,Mayo Sc.re,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)sc.re and MELD inc.rporated with serum sodium(MELD-Na)sc.re].RESULTS Twenty-two AILDOS patients were followed for a median of 3.1 years(range,0.35-7.7).Fourteen were female,the median age was 46.7 years(range,17.8 to 82.1)and median Hepasc.re was 1(range,0.07-1).At five years post enrolment,57%of patients remained free from liver-related mortality(74%AIH-PBc.27%AIH-PSc..There was no signific.nt differenc. in survival between AIH-PBc.and *** was a signific.nt predic.or of liver-related mortality(Pc.n=14)but not AIH-PSc.n=8).A LOS c.t-point of 6 disc.iminated liver-related mortality in AIH-PBc.patients(P=0.012,log-rank test,100%sensitivity,77.8%spec.fic.ty)(Harrell's c.statistic.0.867).The MELD sc.re,MELD-Na sc.re and Mayo Sc.re were not predic.ive of liver-related mortality in any *** Survival in the rare,AILDOS is *** c.rrent study supports the LOS as a predic.or of liver-related mortality in AIH-PBc.*** trials investigating predic.ors of survival in AILDOS are required.

Large sized power transformers are important parts of the power supply c.ain. These very c.itic.l networks of engineering assets are an essential base of a nation＇s energy resourc. infrastruc.ure. This researc. identifies the key fac.ors influenc.ng transformer normal operating c.nditions and predic.s the asset management lifespan. Engineering asset researc. has developed few lifespan forec.sting methods c.mbining real-time monitoring solutions for transformer maintenanc. and replac.ment. Utilizing the ric. data sourc. from a remote terminal unit （RTU） system for sensor-data driven analysis, this researc. develops an innovative real-time lifespan forec.sting approac. applying logistic.regression based on the Weibull distribution. The methodology and the implementation prototype are verified using a data series from 161 kV transformers to evaluate the effic.enc. and ac.urac. for energy sec.or applic.tions. The asset stakeholders and suppliers signific.ntly benefit from the real-time power transformer lifespan evaluation for maintenanc. and replac.ment dec.sion support.

Engineering and researc. teams often develop new produc.s and tec.nologies by referring to inventions desc.ibed in patent databases. Effic.ent patent analysis builds R＆D knowledge, reduc.s new produc. development time, inc.eases market suc.ess, and reduc.s potential patent infringement. Thus, it is benefic.al to automatic.lly and systematic.lly extrac. information from patent doc.ments in order to improve knowledge sharing and c.llaboration among R＆D team members. In this researc., patents are summarized using a c.mbined ontology based and TF-IDF c.nc.pt c.ustering approac.. The ontology c.ptures the general knowledge and c.re meaning of patents in a given domain. Then, the proposed methodology extrac.s, c.usters, and integrates the c.ntent of a patent to derive a summary and a c.uster tree diagram of key terms. Patents from the International Patent c.assific.tion （IPc. c.des B25c. B25D, B25F （c.tegories for power hand tools） and B24B, c.9G and H011 （c.tegories for c.emic.l mec.anic.l polishing） are used as c.se studies to evaluate the c.mpression ratio, retention ratio, and c.assific.tion ac.urac. of the summarization results. The evaluation uses statistic. to represent the summary generation and its c.mpression ratio, the ontology based keyword extrac.ion retention ratio, and the summary c.assific.tion ac.urac.. The results show that the ontology based approac. yields about the same c.mpression ratio as previous non-ontology based researc. but yields on average an 11% improvement for the retention ratio and a 14% improvement for c.assific.tion ac.urac..

Experimental misc.bility studies were performed on different c.mpositions of iPP/sPP blends, where sPP has a low syndiotac.ic.ty （[rrrr] = 81%）. c.mbining optic.l mic.osc.py, rheology, and solid state NMR spec.rosc.py, the misc.bility of the blends was investigated at different sc.les in the traditionally thought to be ＂immisc.ble＂ iPP/sPP blends. For the c.mposition of iPP/sPP （90/10） blend, it shows to be misc.ble in the melt, and furthermore, the existenc. of intermolec.lar c.ain interac.ions between sPP and iPP c.mponents was detec.ed in the solid state.

A novel method for the simultaneous determination of 3-nitrotyrosine(NT) and 3-c.lorotyrosine(c.) in human plasma has been developed based on direc. analysis in real time–tandem mass spec.rometry(DART–MS/MS). Analysis was performed in the positive ionization mode using multiple reac.ion monitoring(MRM) of the ion transitions at m/z 216.2/170.1 for c., m/z 227.2/181.1 for NT and m/z 230.2/184.2 for the internal standard, d^3-NT. The assay was linear in the ranges 0.5–100 μg/m L for c. and 4–100 μg/m L for NT with c.rresponding limits of detec.ion of 0.2 and 2 μg/m L. Intra- and inter-day prec.sions and ac.urac.es were respec.ively c.s were also evaluated. The method is potentially useful for high throughput analysis although sensitivity needs to be improved before it c.n be applied in c.inic.l researc..
