Zero‐valent sulfur(ZVS)is a crucial intermediate in the sulfur geobiochemical circulation and is widespread in deep‐sea cold seeps.Sulfur‐oxidizing bacteria are thought to be the major contributors to the formation of ZVS.However,ZVS production mediated by sulfate‐reducing bacteria(SRB)has rarely been reported.In this study,we isolated and cultured a typical SRB designated Oceanidesulfovibrio marinus CS1 from deep‐sea cold seep sediment in the South China Sea.We show that O.marinus CS1 forms ZVS in the medium supplemented with thiosulfate.Proteomic and protein activity assays revealed that thiosulfate reductase(PhsA)and the sulfide:quinone oxidoreductase(SQR)played key roles in driving ZVS formation in O.marinus CS1.During this process,thiosulfate firstly was reduced by PhsA to form sulfide,then sulfide was oxidized by SQR to produce ZVS.The expressions of PhsA and SQR were significantly upregulated when O.marinus CS1 was cultured in a deep‐sea cold seep,strongly indicating that strain CS1 might form ZVS in the deep‐sea environment.Notably,homologs of phsA and sqr were widely identified from microbes living in sediments of deep‐sea cold seep in the South China Sea by the metagenomic analysis.We thus propose that SRB containing phsA and sqr genes potentially contribute to the formation of ZVS in deep‐sea cold seep environments.

Root rot disease caused by Fusarium solani is the most devastating disease of the tomato and legume crops in China.The metabolites of Bacillus species can inhibit many fungal diseases.In this study,the metabolites of deep-sea-derived bacterium Bacillus subtilis 2 H11 can significantly inhibit the growth of F.solani.The metabolite C_(17)-fengycin B,one of the cyclic lipopeptides,was identified by the combination of silica column chromatography,high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),high-energy collision induced dissociation mass spectrometry(HCD-MS)and tandem mass spectrometry(HCD-MS/MS).The results of scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)showed that C_(17)-fengycin B could destroy the structure of the hyphae and spores of F.solani.The antifungal activities of C_(17)-fengycin B against F.solani were tested at concentrations ranging from 0.05 mg/mL to 0.20 mg/mL.The results indicated that C_(17)-fengycin B inhibited the growth of F.solani with antifungal index of 89.80%at 0.20 mg/mL,and the antifungal activity of C_(17)-fengycin B was further verified by the pot experiment.In addition,the cytotoxicity experiment showed that C_(17)-fengycin B had good biocompatibility and was a potential candidate for the development of biocontrol pesticide in the future.

Compared with the surface,the deep environment has the advantages of allowing“super-quiet and ultra-clean”-geophysical field observation with low vibration noise and little electromagnetic interference,which are conducive to the realization of long-term and high-precision observation of multi-physical fields,thus enabling the solution of a series of geoscience problems.In the Panyidong Coal Mine,where there are extensive underground tunnels at the depth of 848 m below sea level,we carried out the first deep-underground geophysical observations,including radioactivity,gravity,magnetic,magnetotelluric,background vibration and six-component seismic observations.We concluded from these measurements that(1)the background of deep subsurface gravity noise in the long-period frequency band less than 2 Hz is nearly two orders of magnitude weaker than that in the surface observation environment;(2)the underground electric field is obviously weaker than the surface electric field,and the relatively high frequency of the underground field,greater than 1 Hz,is more than two orders of magnitude weaker than that of the surface electric field;the east-west magnetic field underground is approximately the same as that at the surface;the relatively high-frequency north-south magnetic field underground,below 10 Hz,is at least one order of magnitude lower than that at the surface,showing that the underground has a clean electromagnetic environment;(3)in addition to the highfrequency and single-frequency noises introduced by underground human activities,the deep underground space has a significantly lower background vibration noise than the surface,which is very beneficial to the detection of weak earthquake and gravity signals;and(4)the underground roadway support system built with ferromagnetic material interferes the geomagnetic field.We also found that for deep observation in the“ultra-quiet and ultra-clean”environment,the existing geophysical equipment and observation technology have problems of poor adaptability and insufficient

Coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19)is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).The infection is spreading globally and poses a huge threat to human health.Besides common respiratory symptoms,some patients with COVID-19 experience gastrointestinal symptoms,such as diarrhea,nausea,vomiting,and loss of appetite.SARS-CoV-2 might infect the gastrointestinal tract through its viral receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)and there is increasing evidence of a possible fecal–oral transmission route.In addition,there exist multiple abnormalities in liver enzymes.COVID-19-related liver injury may be due to drug-induced liver injury,systemic inflammatory reaction,and hypoxia–ischemia reperfusion injury.The direct toxic attack of SARS-CoV-2 on the liver is still questionable.This review highlights the manifestations and potential mechanisms of gastrointestinal and hepatic injuries in COVID-19 to raise awareness of digestive system injury in COVID-19.

目的：健观察食管癌患者术后早期咀嚼口香糖促进胃肠功能恢复的效果。方法选取2012年2月～2015年2月于我院治疗的食管癌手术患者46例，随机分为观察组和对照组，各23例。对照组术后给予常规护理、治疗，禁饮食、胃肠减压、空肠造瘘管或鼻肠管行肠内营养，肠功能恢复且术后1周再给予流质饮食。观察组在对照组的基础上于术后第1天起给予咀嚼口香糖4次/d，15～20 min/次，直至恢复进食为止。观察比较两组患者首次肛门排气、排便的时间、术后住院时间以及进食时间口腔、胃肠道并发症的发生情况。结果观察组术后首次肛门排气、排便的时间、术后住院时间早于对照组，P＜0.05，差异具有统计学意义。结论食管癌术后早期咀嚼口香糖能促进胃肠功能恢复，简单廉价、安全且易于被患者接受。

为探究根皮素对2型糖尿病肾病小鼠肾损伤的分子保护作用及潜在机制,将小鼠随机分为正常对照组、糖尿病模型组、阳性药物组(二甲双胍500 mg/kg)、根皮素低、中、高剂量组(100、200、400 mg/kg·d)。造模成功后,各组小鼠灌胃给予相应药物,12周后,观察肾脏肥大指数、肾脏病理形态学变化,测定血尿素氮(BUN)、肌酐(Scr)和尿β2-微球蛋白(β2-MG)、血清白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)和白细胞介素-18(IL-18)等指标,并检测肾组织丙二醛(MDA)含量、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)活性和转录因子E2相关因子2(Nrf2)/血红素加氧酶-1(HO-1)/核苷酸结合寡聚化结构域样受体蛋白3(NLRP3)通路相关蛋白表达。结果显示:与模型组比较,根皮素中、高剂量组小鼠肾脏肥大指数极显著减小(P<0.01);HE染色和Masson染色见肾小球体积明显减小、系膜增生明显减少,肾小球和肾间质纤维化明显减轻;血BUN、Scr、IL-1β、IL-18和肾组织MDA含量、α-平滑肌肌动蛋白(α-SMA)、胶原蛋白Ι(CollagenΙ)、NLRP3、IL-1β和Gasdermin D(GSDMD)蛋白表达显著降低(P<0.05或P<0.01);肾组织GSH-Px活性、Nrf2、HO-1、钙粘附蛋白-E(E-cadherin)蛋白表达显著升高(P<0.05)。结果表明:根皮素能保护2型糖尿病肾病小鼠肾功能改善肾纤维化,可能与调控Nrf2/HO-1/NLRP3通路改善氧化应激与炎症反应有关。

提出一种对围产期胎儿宫内发育和健康状况自动评估分析系统.该系统通过对探头获取的胎心信号、宫缩压信号进行处理,识别出胎心宫缩图的胎心率基线、胎心率加速和减速、胎心率基线变异、宫缩等生理参数指标,并根据计算出的参数值和临床上广泛采用的评分法,完成胎儿在宫内的健康状况评估分析,为妇产科医生提供诊断依据.通过临床试验验证,相比传统的人工判读模式,本系统能够获取较为客观公正的生理参数值,有效避免人工识别的主观性误差,提升围产期胎儿的监护质量.

[Objective] pSCM201 is the first unidirectional theta replication plasmid experimentally identified in the domain of archaea.For gene expression and function analysis of specific genes in model strain Haloarcula hispanica,a novel shuttle expression vector based on pSCM201 was developed.[Methods] By combining the minimal replicon of pSCM201,the pUC19 replicon of Escherichia coli,and two antibiotic genes,a new shuttle vector between haloarchaea and E.coli was established.Furthermore,the hsp5 core promoter,multiple clone sites and a C-terminal His·Tag sequence were added to construct the expression vector pSCM307.With the help of reporter gene bgaH,the replication ability and gene expression of pSCM307 were tested in H.hispanica AS2049 by PCR identification and β-galactosidase activity assay.[Results] pSCM307 could stably self-replicate in AS2049,and bgaH was successfully expressed under the control of hsp5 promoter.[Conclusions] A user-friendly expression vector was successfully constructed in haloarchaea.

目的探讨组建重症医学科内部跨领域合作团队(ICDT)对慢重症(CCI)患者整体救治新模式的应用效果。方法通过介绍福建医科大学附属第二医院重症医学科收治的1例60岁男性慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期(AECOPD)患者在重症监护病房(ICU)内的整体监护治疗方案,分析医师、护师、呼吸治疗师、物理治疗师、临床营养师及患者家属组成的ICDT在患者撤离呼吸机(撤机)和超早期康复中的作用。结果该患者入院诊断为AECOPD、吸入性肺炎、Ⅱ型呼吸衰竭、感染性休克,由重症医学科组成的ICDT团队在传统控制感染和支持治疗基础上对患者积极开展危重症早期康复治疗。在ICDT团队监护治疗下,患者外周血白细胞计数(WBC)、中性粒细胞计数(NEU)、降钙素原(PCT)、动脉血二氧化碳分压(PaCO_(2))、最大吸气压(MIP)、最大呼气压(MEP)、右侧膈肌移动度、痰液黏稠度、潮气量(VT)、呼吸频率(RR)均有所改善,随后逐渐更改呼吸机模式并下调呼吸机参数,于ICU治疗10 d后成功撤机,撤机后患者简易肺功能指标好转,住院15 d后转出ICU在普通病房治疗,住院第20 d出院。CCI门诊随访患者恢复良好,生活质量大幅改善。结论ICDT合作对CCI患者的监护治疗十分重要,有利于危重症患者的超早期康复及预后改善。
