The sluggish reaction kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and the high price of noble metal catalysts hinder the wide application of water electrolysis for hydrogen ***-entropy oxides(HEOs)with multi-components and high entropy stabilized structures have attracted great research interests due to their efficient and durable performance in electrolytic water splitting ***,the development of efficient HEO electrocatalysts are often hindered by the limited surface exposed active sites because high temperature is usually required to form a high entropy stabilized ***,a flaky high-entropy oxide with a spinel structure,(FeCoNiCrMn)_(3)O_(4),was synthesized by using the sacrificial layered carbon template in situ prepared by the volatile reaction between ammonium sulfate and molten ***-resolution TEM results show the as-prepared(FeCoNiCrMn)_(3)O_(4) flakes are composed of nanosized HEO *** nanosized(FeCoNiCrMn)_(3)O_(4) HEO electrocatalysts exhibit excellent OER activity,with an overpotential of 239 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2) and a Tafel slope of 52.4 mV/*** electrocatalyst has excellent *** at a high current density of 100 mA/cm^(2),the activity remains unchanged during the stability test for 24 *** results here shed a new light in the design and fabrication of highly efficient HEO electrocatalysts.

Myostatin is a potent negative regulator in regulating skeletal muscle *** muscle mass was dramatically increased as evidenced by hyperplasia and hypertrophy in both animals and human due to loss of Myostatin ***,the functional role of Myostatin in early embryonic myogenesis is completely *** this study, we explored myostatin function in regulating embryonic myogenesis by temporospatially examining myostatin expression in both chick and mouse *** found that Myostatin initiates its expression at the centre of dermomyotome,from which muscle progenitors derive,and progresses medially and laterally as developmental *** dynamic expression profiling of Myostatin is highly correlated with the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) of *** using in ovo electroporation approach,we showed that overexpressing Myostatin promotes EMT of dermomyotome and consistently EMT of dermomyotome is delayed while Myostatin is knocked down with the Myostatin-specific siRNAs, indicating for the first time that Myostatin functions in regulating somitogenesis by promoting EMT of *** functional role of Myostatin in promoting EMT is also supported by treating cancer cells with recombinant Myostatin. Myostatin could induce EMT of A549 and MDCK cancer cells in *** TGF-β1,Myostatin treatment morphologically converts A549 and MDCK cells to mesenchymal cells,which are characterized by downregulated expression of the epithelial markers,such as E-cadherin and ZO-1,and upregulated expression of mesenchymal markers,Vimentin and Snail. Taken together,our data demonstrated that Myostatin could induce EMT both in vitro and in vivo,implying that Myostatin could functionally determine cell fate of muscle progenitors by promoting EMT of dermomyotome to negatively regulate myogenesis during early embryonic myogenesis.

Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Abnormal mitochondrial dynamics can lead to seizures,and improved mitochon-drial dynamics can alleviate *** protein sorting 13D(VPS13D)is closely associ-ated with regulating mitochondrial homeostasis and ***,further investigation is required to determine whether VPS13D affects seizures by influencing mitochondrial dy-namics and *** aimed to investigate the influence of VPS13D on behavior in a rat model of acute epileptic ***,we established an acute epileptic seizure rat model and employed the CRISPR/CAS9 technology to construct a lentivirus to silence the Vps13d ***,we used the HT22 mouse hippocampal neuron cell line to establish a stable strain with suppressed expression of Vps13d in ***,we performed quantitative prote-omic and bioinformatics analyses to confirm the mechanism by which VPS13D influences mito-chondrial dynamics and autophagy,both in vitro and in vivo using the experimental acute epileptic seizure *** found that knockdown of Vps13d resulted in reduced seizure la-tency and increased seizure frequency in the experimental *** staining and western blot analysis revealed a significant increase in mitochondrial dynamin-related pro-tein 1 expression following Vps13d ***,we observed a significant reduction in LC3Il protein expression levels and the LC31/LC3l ratio(indicators for autophagy)accompa-nied by a significant increase in P62 expression(an autophagy adaptor protein).The proteomic analysis confirmed the up-regulation of P62 protein ***,we propose that VPS13D plays a role in modulating seizures by influencing mitochondrial dynamics and autophagy.

Although solar steam generation strategy is efficient in desalinating seawater,it is still challenging to achieve continuous solar-thermal desalination of seawater and catalytic degradation of organic ***,dynamic regulations of hydrogen bonding networks and solvation structures are realized by designing an asymmetric bilayer membrane consisting of a bacterial cellulose/carbon nanotube/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod top layer and a bacterial cellulose/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod(BCH)bottom ***,the hydrogen bonding networks inside the membrane can be tuned by the rich surface–OH groups of the bacterial cellulose and Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)as well as the ions and radicals in situ generated during the catalysis ***,both SO_(4)^(2−)and HSO_(5)−can regulate the solvation structure of Na^(+)and be adsorbed more preferentially on the evaporation surface than Cl^(−),thus hindering the de-solvation of the solvated Na^(+)and subsequent nucleation/growth of ***,the heat generated by the solar-thermal energy conversion can accelerate the reaction kinetics and enhance the catalytic degradation *** work provides a flow-bed water purification system with an asymmetric solar-thermal and catalytic membrane for synergistic solar thermal desalination of seawater/brine and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants.

BACKGROUND Revisiting the epidemiology of posttraumatic stress symptoms(PTSSs)among university students during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic as well as understanding the mental health help-seeking behavior of individuals with PTSSs has critical implications for public mental health strategies in future medical *** To investigate the prevalence and correlates of PTSSs among university students during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in China and to examine mental health help-seeking behaviors among these *** A total of 2507 Chinese university students were recruited via snowball *** students completed the Seven-item Screening Scale for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in ***-graphic characteristics,pandemic-related characteristics,and mental health help-seeking behaviors of students with PTSSs were also *** The prevalence of PTSSs among the participants was 28.0%.Seven significant correlates of PTSSs were identified(odds ratio=1.23-3.65,P≤0.024):Female sex,being 19 years old or older,living with others or alone,a low level of family economic status,fair or poor interpersonal relationships,severe or very severe local pandemic,and having family members diagnosed with ***,only 3.28%of the students with PTSSs reported seeking help from mental health *** the 23 students who sought help from mental health specialists,13 opted for online or telephone-based psychological *** Our data suggest that there was a high risk of PTSSs among university students and a high level of unmet mental health needs during the COVID-19 *** delivery of mental health services online or via telephone is a promising approach to address these unmet needs.

Water wave energy exhibits great potential toalleviate the global energy crisis. However, harvesting andutilizing wave energy are challenging due to its irregularity,randomness, and low frequency. Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs) have gained significant attention for harvesting waveenergy with high efficiency. This study presents a novelellipsoidal, pendulum-like TENG integrating both liquid-liquid(L-L) and solid-solid (S-S) triboelectricity (LS-TENG). Thisinnovative design enables continuous wave energy harvestingand self-powered marine environment monitoring under variousconditions, including temperature, humidity, and light intensity. The binary immiscible liquids within the LS-TENG’s innersoft balloon create dynamic, and self-adjustable L-L contact interfaces, significantly increasing the L-L contact area andenhancing L-L contact electrification (CE). The unique self-adaptive, soft S-S contact increases the S-S contact areacompared to traditional hard point contact, better adapting to the irregular movements of waves and promoting efficient S-SCE. The LS-TENG achieves highly efficient wave energy harvesting by coupling L-L and S-S CE. Furthermore, the uniquesoft contact design protects the S-S interfaces from mechanical wear and damage during long-term work. The LS-TENG’snovel structure provides an innovative and effective way for water wave energy harvesting.

Lightweight aerogels feature multifunctionality and a high porosity,yet accompanied with poor structure recovery under large strain *** this work,we develop an air bubble-ice crystal dual template and annealing strategy to integrate low density and high resilience for the conductive transition metal carbides/nitrides(MXene)composite *** air bubbles and ice crystals synergistically exclude the nanosheets to the gas-liquid interfaces,thereby constructing unique Y-shaped junctions and robust *** annealing process greatly enhances the interlayer *** external load,the Yshaped structures prevent the stress concentration at the junctions by transferring the forces to the skeleton for maintaining structural *** addition,the wrinkled and thick cell walls,together with the enhanced interlayer interactions,endow the aerogel with exceptional structural stability and *** a result,the MXene/reduced graphene oxide(RGO)composite aerogels exhibit superelasticity with reversible compressive strains of up to 95%.In addition,the electron bridging effect of the RGO sheets affords the aerogel to deliver excellent electromagnetic interference shielding performance,as high as 46.3 dB at 2.5 ***,the remarkable reshapeability of the aerogels allows for precise regulation of structure and performance(33.5-75.1 dB)by a simple wetting compression *** summary,this work offers helpful inspirations for developing lightweight and superelasticity aerogels for extensive applications.
