Achilles tendon thickening does not affect elasticity and functional outcome after surgical repair of Achilles rupture:A retrospective study

Automatic depth matching method of well log based on deep reinforcement learning

In the traditional well log depth matching tasks,manual adjustments are required,which means significantly labor-intensive for multiple wells,leading to low work *** paper introduces a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MARL)method to automate the depth matching of multi-well *** method defines multiple top-down dual sliding windows based on the convolutional neural network(CNN)to extract and capture similar feature sequences on well logs,and it establishes an interaction mechanism between agents and the environment to control the depth matching ***,the agent selects an action to translate or scale the feature sequence based on the double deep Q-network(DDQN).Through the feedback of the reward signal,it evaluates the effectiveness of each action,aiming to obtain the optimal strategy and improve the accuracy of the matching *** experiments show that MARL can automatically perform depth matches for well-logs in multiple wells,and reduce manual *** the application to the oil field,a comparative analysis of dynamic time warping(DTW),deep Q-learning network(DQN),and DDQN methods revealed that the DDQN algorithm,with its dual-network evaluation mechanism,significantly improves performance by identifying and aligning more details in the well log feature sequences,thus achieving higher depth matching accuracy.

Synthesis of poly(thiourethane-alt-thioester) by alternating ring-opening copolymerization of N-thiocarboxyanhydrides and episulfides

Polythiourethanes(PTU) and polythioesters(PTE) derived from renewable sources are emerging sustainable polymers for their excellent degradability and recyclability. However, P(TU-alt-TE) copolymers have been rare and challenging to ***, we report the efficient synthesis of novel P(TU-alt-TE) copolymers via the alternating copolymerization of N-thiocarboxyanhydrides(NTA)/episufides(ES) and provide mechanistic insight into the alternating chain propagation process via density functional theory(DFT) calculation. The incorporation of ESs into traditional peptide backbone is capable of adjusting the glass transition temperature below thermal decomposition temperature, which confers better thermal processability by regulating the rigidity of the backbone and the hydrogen bond interaction among the polymer chains. Crosslinked PTUs with tailored properties are accessible by altering the feeding ratio of NTAs and(bifunctional) ESs. Moreover, the thiourethane in the backbone can endow interesting underwater adhesion properties to the materials. Considering the broad scope of NTA and ES monomers, this method is expected to provide a promising and general route to a wide range of P(TU-alt-TE) copolymers with diverse properties.

Identifying malicious traffic under concept drift based on intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder

Accurate identification of malicious traffic is crucial for implementing effective defense countermeasures and has led to extensive research efforts. However, the continuously evolving techniques employed by adversaries have introduced the issues of concept drift, which significantly affects the performance of existing methods. To tackle this challenge, some researchers have focused on improving the separability of malicious traffic representation and designing drift detectors to reduce the number of false ***, these methods often overlook the importance of enhancing the generalization and intraclass consistency in the representation. Additionally, the detectors are not sufficiently sensitive to the variations among different malicious traffic classes, which results in poor performance and limited robustness. In this paper, we propose intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder with Class-Perception detector(ICE-CP) to identify malicious traffic under concept drift. It comprises two key modules during training:intraclass consistency enhanced(ICE) representation learning and Class-Perception(CP) detector construction. In the first module, we employ a variational autoencoder(VAE) in conjunction with Kullback-Leibler(KL)-divergence and cross-entropy loss to model the distribution of each input malicious traffic flow. This approach simultaneously enhances the generalization, interclass consistency, and intraclass differences in the learned representation. Consequently, we obtain a compact representation and a trained classifier for nondrifting malicious traffic. In the second module, we design the CP detector, which generates a centroid and threshold for each malicious traffic class separately based on the learned representation, depicting the boundaries between drifting and non-drifting malicious traffic. Towards the performance limit of catenary meta-optics via field-driven optimization
