Computed tomography radiomic features and clinical factors predicting the response to first transarterial chemoembolization in intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma

Background:According to clinical practice guidelines,transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)is the standard treatment modality for patients with intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Early prediction of treatment response can help patients choose a reasonable treatment *** study aimed to investigate the value of the radiomic-clinical model in predicting the efficacy of the first TACE treatment for HCC to prolong patient ***:A total of 164 patients with HCC who underwent the first TACE from January 2017 to September 2021 were *** tumor response was assessed by modified response evaluation criteria in solid tumors(mRECIST),and the response of the first TACE to each session and its correlation with overall survival were *** radiomic signatures associated with the treatment response were identified by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO),and four machine learning models were built with different types of regions of interest(ROIs)(tumor and corresponding tissues)and the model with the best performance was *** predictive performance was assessed with receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves and calibration ***:Of all the models,the random forest(RF)model with peritumor(+10 mm)radiomic signatures had the best performance[area under ROC curve(AUC)=0.964 in the training cohort,AUC=0.949 in the validation cohort].The RF model was used to calculate the radiomic score(Rad-score),and the optimal cutoff value(0.34)was calculated according to the Youden’s *** were then divided into a high-risk group(Rad-score>0.34)and a low-risk group(Rad-score≤0.34),and a nomogram model was successfully established to predict treatment *** predicted treatment response also allowed for significant discrimination of Kaplan-Meier *** Cox regression identified six independent prognostic factors for overall survival,including male[hazard ratio(HR)=0.500,95%confidence interva

基于UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap HRMS联合网络药理学及分子对接技术探究白及“异病同治”黄褐斑、胃肠道出血、肺癌和支气管-肺炎性病变的物质基础和分子机制。利用HPLC建立17批不同产地白及指纹图谱,进行相似度评价;进一步通过UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap HRMS分析,获得17批白及的共有化学成分;针对共有化学成分,根据生物利用度和类药性筛选活性成分,利用TCMSP和SwissTargetPrediction数据库获取白及活性成分的作用靶点。在DrugBank、TTD、GeneCards数据库中检索疾病相关靶点,绘制韦恩图,获得白及与疾病的共有靶点作为“异病同治”靶点;借助STRING数据库建立蛋白质相互关系,并在Bioconductor数据库中对“异病同治”靶点进行KEGG和GO分析;使用Cytoscape 3.7.2软件构建“白及化学成分-异病同治靶点”网络和蛋白-蛋白相互作用(PPI)网络,拓扑分析筛选出关键活性成分和核心靶点;最后,运用AutoDock Vina 1.1.2软件对活性成分与核心靶点进行分子对接验证。指纹图谱有13个共有峰,不同批次间指纹图谱的相似度在0.941~0.998。鉴定出白及的化学成分53个,17批白及的共有化学成分18个;网络药理学筛选到白及治疗4种疾病的药效物质基础是多糖类、联菲类、二氢菲类和联苄类等11个化合物,异病同治靶点42个,这些靶点参与细胞对化学应激的反应、活性氧的反应和蛋白激酶B信号转导的正调控等生物过程,涉及PI3K-Akt、ErbB、Rap1、FoxO、MAPK和雌激素等121条信号通路;分子对接显示关键活性成分与核心靶点亲和力好。该研究初步阐释了白及通过多成分、多靶点和多通路联合作用发挥治疗黄褐斑、胃肠道出血、肺癌和支气管-肺炎性病变的“异病同治”的作用,为其深入开发和应用提供了一定的理论基础。

A semantic segmentation-based underwater acoustic image transmission framework for cooperative SLAM

Photoluminescence properties of blue and green multiple InGaN/GaN quantum wells

The photoluminescence(PL) properties of blue multiple InGaN/GaN quantum well(BMQW) and green multiple InGaN/GaN quantum well(GMQW) formed on a single sapphire substrate are investigated. The results indicate that the peak energy of GMQW-related emission(PG) exhibits more significant "S-shaped" dependence on temperature than that of BMQW-related emission(PB), and the excitation power-dependent carrier-scattering effect is observed only in the PG emission;the excitation power-dependent total blue-shift(narrowing) of peak position(line-width) for the PGemission is more significant than that for the PBemission;the GMQW shows a lower internal quantum efficiency than the BMQW. All of these results can be attributed to the fact that the GMQW has higher indium content than the BMQW due to its lower growth temperature and late growth, and the higher indium content in the GMQW induces a more significant compositional fluctuation, a stronger quantum confined Stark effect, and more non-radiative centers.

Solid particle size characterization by a high-frequency collision response in pneumatic particulate flow

A novel triaxial vibration method is developed for the real-time characterization of the solid particle size distribution(PsD)in pneumatic particulate flow,which is critical for chemical *** this work,the particle-wall collision and friction behaviours were analysed by the time-domain statistical and timefrequency joint methods to narrow the high-frequency response range by the initial experiment of free fall for a single particle,interparticle,and multiple ***,verification experiments of PSD characterization in pneumatic flow were ***,the quantitative triaxial energy response model that considers the particle size,shape,and mass factors were ***,a good agreement of the particle number identification was found between the triaxial vibration energy and mean particle size of 150-550μ***,the performance with the best accuracy was focused on a range of 42-43 kHz in the x-axis and z-axis and 36.8-38.8 kHz in the ***,the individual particle energy was inversely analysed by the triaxial vibration response within the optimized frequency bands,and the PSD was characterized in real-time by a low error rate,that is,5.2% from the XZ-axis direction of sand(42-43 kHz)and 5.6% from the XYZ-axis of glass(30.9-33.9 kHz,46.2-47.2 kHz,38.3-41.3 kHz for each axis response).Therefore,this research complements the existing approaches for PsD characterization in particulate multiphase flow.

Dear Editor,RNA-based pesticides are approaching the market,offering great potential to control agricultural pests such as the coleopteran insect Diabrotica virgifera virgifera(Head et al.,2017).However,application to lepidopteran pests has been hampered by their inconsistent response to RNA interference(RNAi).As a notorious lepidoptera pest,Helicoverpa armigera feeds on over 300 species of host plants(fu et al.,2022).Although transgenicplants expressingdouble-stranded RNAs or microRNAs that target essential insect genes can inhibit the growth of larvae,complete protection of the plants and efficient killing of this insect have not been achieved(Bally et al.,2020;Chung et al.,2021;li et al.,2023).The relatively low RNAi efficiency in lepidopterans is mainly attributable to the degradation and intracellular sequestration of double-stranded RNA(Shukla et al.,2016;Zhu and Palli,2020).To overcome these obstacles and improve RNAi efficiency in ***,we attempted to deliver RNAi molecules using a bacteriophage MS2 virus-like particle(VLP)-based delivery system(Wang et al.,2016).
