Kinetics of thermally activated triplet fusion as a function of polymer chain packing in boosting the efficiency of organic light emitting diodes

Understanding the photophysical process governing the operation of the organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs)and how they are affected by film morphology is crucial to the efficient design of future *** particular,delayed fluorescence(DF),is known to contribute a significant fraction of the light emission from polymer-based OLEDs,but its mechanism remains ***,we investigate the origin of DF in the state of the art OLED polymer Poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-alt-benzothiadiazole)(F8BT),under both optical and electrical excitation using time-resolved emission spectroscopy(TRES)as a function of film thickness,excitation fluence,magnetic-field,and *** temperature dependence of the DF for various film thicknesses suggests that thermally activated triplet migration is the dominant process controlling DF at room *** found that thermal activation energy(E_(eff))of triplet migration decreases from 179±31 meV to 86±11 meV as film thickness varied from~110 nm to~560 nm,*** Eeff of triplet migration is found to be a function of the molecular packing of polymer chains as determined from synchrotron grazing incidence wide angle x-ray scattering(GIWAXS)studies and steady-state photoluminescence *** chemical calculations of reorganization energy and singlet-triplet exchange energy gap in F8BT molecule as a function of the dihedral angle between donor&acceptor moiety also confirm the experimental *** results show that DF in polymer OLEDs is significantly affected by parameters such as the film thickness and disorder,allowing for a high degree of control over the underlying photophysics to be achieved.

The liver has a vital role in many metabolic and regulatory processes in the *** biliary cholangitis(PBC),previously known as primary biliary cirrhosis,is a chronic cholestatic autoimmune disease of the intrahepatic bile ducts associated with loss of tolerance to mitochondrial *** this time there is no definitive cure for PBC;however,ursodeoxycholic acid(UDCA)has been shown to reduce injury when administered as the first line of *** therapeutics can be given concurrently or as an alternative to UDCA to manage the symptoms and further curb disease ***,a liver transplant is the only potentially curative option when the patient has developed end-stage liver disease or intractable *** review aims to delineate the pathogenesis of primary biliary cholangitis and shed light on current therapeutic strategies in the treatment of PBC.

Palaeogeography, palaeohydraulics and palaeoclimate of the Mio-Pliocene Siwalik Group, eastern India

South-southwestward palaeocurrent swerved to east-southeast and then broadly to southeast over the transition from alluvial fan to axial channel and then to the flood plain in the Mio-Pliocene foreland system within which the Siwalik Group depositd in Darjeel- ing-Jalpaiguri Districts, eastern India. Palaeocurrent pattern is found to be multi-modal on the fans, virtually unimodal on the axial channel zone and again multi-modal, more profoundly, on the flood plain. Coarse siliciclastic mass-flows were progressively eliminated and gave way to predominant bed-load transport downfan and the axial river, and then to suspensionload dominance in fine siliciclastics on the flood plain. Distal flood plain lacustrine sediment included most of the coals and the entire bulk of the dolomitic limestone. Further resolution in palaeogeography within the frame of aforementioned foursome facies associations is elicited in twenty-six distinctive facies altogether. Critical evaluation of chemical indices （CIA, CIW, ICV, PIA, as well as Rb/Sr ratio） for weathering and depleted （3180 values indicate a high precipitation rate. The contention is further corroborated by the high discharge rate calculated from cross-set thicknesses within the main channel deposits. Reconciliation of various relevant data sets collected or calculated from all known worksites along the entire 2000 km-Iong exposure belt of the Siwaliks along the Himalayan foothills reveal confluence of two tributaries, one from the west and the other from the east, close to the present study area before escaping onto the Indian plains. Channel parameters, channel-belt width and discharge thus attained maxima in the present study area. The precipitation rate and temperature increased eastward overall as a prelude to the modern trend in this regard. 13C enrichment indicates that the transition from C3 to C4 vegetation had already set in.

In this paper, we explore the possibility of mapping devices designed in TCAD environment to its modeled version developed in cadence virtuoso environment using a look-up table （LUT） approach. Circuit simu- lation of newly designed devices in TCAD environment is a very slow and tedious process involving complex scripting. Hence, the LUT based modeling approach has been proposed as a faster and easier alternative in ca- dence environment. The LUTs are prepared by extracting data from the device characteristics obtained from device simulation in TCAD. A comparative study is shown between the TCAD simulation and the LUT-based alternative to showcase the accuracy of modeled devices. Finally the look-up table approach is used to evaluate the perform- ance of circuits implemented using 14 nm nMOSFET.

A wireless sensor network(WSN)consists of several tiny sensor nodes to monitor,collect,and transmit the physical information from an environment through the wireless *** node failure is considered as one of the main issues in the WSN which creates higher packet drop,delay,and energy consumption during the *** the node failure occurred mostly due to persistent energy exhaustion during transmission of data *** this paper,Artificial Neural Network(ANN)based Node Failure Detection(NFD)is developed with cognitive radio for detecting the location of the node *** ad hoc on-demand distance vector(AODV)routing protocol is used for transmitting the data from the source node to the base ***,the Mahalanobis distance is used for detecting an adjacent node to the node failure which is used to create the routing path without any node *** performance of the proposed ANN-NFD method is analysed in terms of throughput,delivery rate,number of nodes alive,drop rate,end to end delay,energy consumption,and overhead ***,the performance of the ANN-NFD method is evaluated with the header to base station and base station to header(H2B2H)*** packet delivery rate of the ANN-NFD method is 0.92 for 150 nodes that are high when compared to the H2B2H ***,the ANN-NFD method provides data consistency during data transmission under node and battery failure.

Improving Multimodel Weather Forecast of Monsoon Rain Over China Using FSU Superensemble

In this paper we present the current capabilities for numerical weather prediction of precipitation over China using a suite of ten multimodels and our superensemble based forecasts. Our suite of models includes the operational suite selected by NCARs TIGGE archives for the THORPEX Program. These are： ECMWF, UKMO, JMA, NCEP, CMA, CMC, BOM, MF, KMA and the CPTEC models. The superensemble strategy includes a training and a forecasts phase, for these the periods chosen for this study include the months February through September for the years 2007 and 2008. This paper addresses precipitation forecasts for the medium range i.e. Days 1 to 3 and extending out to Day 10 of forecasts using this suite of global models. For training and forecasts validations we have made use of an advanced TRMM satellite based rainfall product. We make use of standard metrics for forecast validations that include the RMS errors, spatial correlations and the equitable threat scores. The results of skill forecasts of precipitation clearly demonstrate that it is possible to obtain higher skills for precipitation forecasts for Days 1 through 3 of forecasts from the use of the multimodel superensemble as compared to the best model of this suite. Between Days 4 to 10 it is possible to have very high skills from the multimodel superensemble for the RMS error of precipitation. Those skills are shown for a global belt and especially over China. Phenomenologically this product was also found very useful for precipitation forecasts for the Onset of the South China Sea monsoon, the life cycle of the mei-yu rains and post typhoon landfall heavy rains and flood events. The higher skills of the multimodel superensemble make it a very useful product for such real time events.

Neural Network Approach to Response of Buildings Due to Earthquake Excitation

The present article investigates the physical phenomena associated with the wave passage effect into a building considering the ground floor as the soft floor with the conformity of the up-to-date scenario of the construction of high rise buildings, due to shear excitation of the base. The aim of the study is to analyse the post-earthquake situation of the building in respect to its health. With this vision, the ensuing problem on two-dimensional building models, non-incorporating soil-structure interaction, is being tackled by both analytical and neural network approaches. Computational results from both ends (of the approaches) show that the wave energy does not always propagate from the ground into the building, but for lower frequency range it sails to the building without any disturbances. However, for higher frequency range, the computational results show that the building experiences large “torsional” deformations, as a result the building may collapse. Finally, both the approaches maintain a good agreement among themselves. The present investigation may lead to a long way in contributing to better and more rational, simplified design criteria.

COVID-19 has created a pandemic situation in the whole *** of COVID-19 spreading rate in the social environment is a challenge for all *** the present study,simulation of the lockdown effect on the COVID-19 spreading rate in India and mapping of its recovery percentage(until May 2020)were *** of the lockdown impact dependent on first order reaction kinetics demonstrated higher effect of lockdown 1 on controlling the COVID-19 spreading rate when contrasted with lockdown 2 and *** decreasing trend was followed for the reaction rate constant of different lockdown stages,the distinction between the lockdown 2 and 3 was *** and feed forward neural network(FFNN)approaches were applied for the simulation of COVID-19 spreading *** case of mathematical approach,exponential model indicated adequate performance for the prediction of the spreading rate *** the FFNN based modeling,1-5-1 was selected as the best architecture so as to predict adequate spreading rate for all the *** architecture also showed effective performance in order to forecast number of cases for next 14 *** recovery percentage was modeled as a function of number of days with the assistance of polynomial ***,the investigation recommends proper social distancing and efficient management of corona virus in order to achieve higher decreasing trend of reaction rate constant and required recovery percentage for the stabilization of India.

Selection of Rice Genotypes for Salinity Tolerance Through Morpho-Biochemical Assessment

The present study reported the morpho-biochemical evaluation of 15 selected rice genotypes for salt tolerance at the seedling stage. Growth parameters including shoot length, root length, plant biomass, plant turgid weight, plant dry weight along with relative water content were measured after exposure to saline solution （with electrical conductivity value of 12 dS/m）. Genotypes, showing significant differential responses towards salinity in the fields, were assessed through 14 salinity-linked morpho-biochemical attributes, measured at 14 d after exposure of seedling in saline nutrient solution. Relative water content, chlorophyll a/b, peroxidase activity and plant biomass were identified as potential indicators of salt tolerance. Principal component analysis and successive Hierarchical clustering using Euclidean distance revealed that Talmugur, Gheus, Ghunsi, Langalmura, Sabitapalui, and Sholerpona were promising genotypes for further breeding programmes in rice. The maximum Euclidean distance was plotted between Thavallakanan and Talmugur （7.49）, followed by Thavallakanan and Langalmura （6.82）, indicating these combinations may be exploited as parental lines in hybridization programmes to develop salinity tolerant variety.
