We report the preparation of poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)(pEDOT)-modified polyvinylidene fluoride electrospun fibers and their use as a novel adsorbent material for the removal of the anionic dye Methyl Orange(MO)from aqueous *** novel adsorbent material can be used to selectively remove MO on a wide p H range(3.0-10.0),with a maximum capacity of 143.8 mg/g at p H *** used in a recirculating filtration system,the maximum absorption capacity was reached in a shorter time(20 min)than that observed for batch mode experiments(360 min).Based on the analyses of the kinetics and adsorption isotherm data,one can conclude that the predominant mechanism of interaction between the membrane and the dissolved dye molecules is ***,considering the estimated values for the Gibbs energy,and entropy and enthalpy changes,it was established that the adsorption process is spontaneous and occurs in an endothermic *** good mechanical and environmental stability of these membranes allowed their use in at least 20 consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles,without significant loss of their *** suggest that the physical-chemical characteristics of pEDOT make these hybrid mats a promising adsorbent material for use in water remediation protocols and effluent treatment systems.

Thin Layer Activation is a nuclear technique that has key advantages over other wear measuring techniques for mechanical systems,especially for in site experiments on equipment important to safety in nuclear ***,it incurs radioactive dose and,thus,must be proved radiologically safe before use,otherwise,the utilization of this technique may be hindered *** said technique is safe previous to any operational/monetary cost is key,providing a methodology for this early assertion is the main contribution of this work—here,only non-occupationally exposed individuals are *** work offers a methodology,through a case study,to ascertain the Thin Layer Activation parameters to obtain safe levels of radioactive dose while maintaining statistically reliable *** methodology consists of using simulations,through the Monte Carlo Method,to obtain the floors and ceilings for the previously mentioned activation parameters based on operation and work conditions on site.

BACKGROUND Solid pseudopapillary neoplasms(SpN)of the pancreas represents approximately 2%of non-endocrine tumors of the *** is described in the literature as a rare and predominant tumor in young *** To report a case series with SpN and analyzing clinical,surgical,anatomopathological characteristics,as well as the prognosis and review of *** Retrospective analysis of patients undergoing surgery,with histological diagnosis of SpN between 1998 and 2018,using standardized and prospectively completed forms,performed at the Surgery Service of the Upper Digestive System at Hospital São Rafael/Rede D’Or in *** of literature through a database search in MEDLINE/pubMed of retrospective *** Fourteen female patients with the average age of 31.6 years(range min-max)were *** patients(85.7%)were asymptomatic,being an incidental diagnosis or due to screening for other *** patient had abdominal pain due to gastric compression and another patient had *** 14 patients were staged with computerized tomography or magnetic resonance *** had evidence of *** 8 patients(57.1%),the tumor was in the tail and *** average size was 6.7 cm(range min-18).The type of surgery was according to the anatomical location of the *** was no lymph node *** two cases,vascular resection with the use of a prosthesis was required for *** surgical margins were *** all cases,postoperative immunohistochemistry confirmed that it was a solid pseudo-papillary neoplasia of the *** has been no disease recurrence in any case so *** The tumors had a benign,indolent and histopathological behavior compatible with the *** surgery is recommended in all cases.

Evaluation of physicochemical,Microbiological and Sensory Stability of Frozen Stored Vacuum-packed Lamb Meat

Nowadays, lamb meat represents only 7% of all meat produced in the world. In recent years the demand for standardized lamb meat cuts has been considered of great importance and the marketing occurs predominantly in the form of frozen cuts. Herewith, the main of this work was to evaluate the stability and safety of lamb meat during frozen storage. Meats were vacuum packed in high barrier multilayer plastic iflms and stored during 12 mon at （-18±1）℃. The meat stability was assessed by physical and chemical （lipid oxidation, objective color, pH value, cooking losses and instrumental texture）, microbiological （total count of psychrotrophic, coliform count at 45℃, coagulase-positive staphylococci and the presence of Salmonella） and sensory analysis （acceptance test and visual evaluation）. The vacuum packed lamb meat remained stable as to most physical and chemical indexes. Microbiological indexes showed good stability throughout the storage period according to Brazilian legislation standards to pathogenic microorganisms. Although a signiifcant reduction in tenderness （shear force increase from 3 to 8 kg）, it showed a good sensorial acceptance for all attributes tested, including texture, with scores of around 7 （like moderately） during the 12 mon of storage. Therefore, it can be concluded that, under the conditions applied in this study, lamb meat presents a shelf life of at least 12 mon when stored at-18℃.

The thin layer activation technique(TLA)is very effective in wear analysis for tribological systems where disassembly is costly or *** its development in the 1970s,TLA has been applied through direct irradiation of solid targets using ionizing particle beams to obtain an activation with a specific *** profile is then used to measure wear in a variety of *** experiments rely heavily on how deep the normalized activation *** of 30μm to 50μm are obtained for constant activation by the standard method,which for many experiments is ***,many others would benefit greatly from a 300μm constant activation layer,such as high-performance engines,softer alloys(brakes),and oil transport *** this aim was the goal of this ***,we needed to find an adequate irradiation line for the TLA ***,another technique/system was developed(the Attenuation Wheel),which would bring the depth of constant activation from 50μm to 300μm.

Classical-quantum correspondence has been an intriguing issue ever since quantum theory was proposed. The search- ing for signatures of classically nonintegrable dynamics in quantum systems comprises the interesting field of quantum chaos. In this short review, we shall go over recent efforts of extending the understanding of quantum chaos to relativistic cases. We shall focus on the level spacing statistics for two-dimensional massless Dirac billiards, i.e., particles confined in a closed region. We shall discuss the works for both the particle described by the massless Dirac equation （or Weyl equation） and the quasiparticle from graphene. Although the equations are the same, the boundary conditions are typically different, rendering distinct level spacing statistics.

Tourism Marketing Consciousness： The New posture of the Tourism Consumer Citizen

We know that increased population and unrestrained consumption are generating problems, which becomes critical for our planet. This impending context is part of a whole system, triggered by a logic operation which needs to be reconsidered urgently. The consumer consciousness of tourism knows to what extent their different actions will help change something. To achieve this awareness of sustainable consumption requires a restructuring and reform of the cultural, social, and political aspects of the site and the citizen. With this vision and the proposal for a case study of tourism marketing consciousness, the objective of this study is to raise consumers＇ awareness of tourist destinations to develop their abilities to use the right information to make the right choices and to be ecologically responsible. Through this differentia/, every action carried out in the tourist spot is of singular importance to create sustainable added value for the citizen. In this case, tour operators, non-governmental organizations （NGOs）, and local governments should also invest in educational programs that guide these consumers to enjoy as citizens the tourist areas consciously and effectively. Thus, we believe that training in tourism will lead the stakeholders of consciousness tourist destination to feel protagonist in the broad economic context, social, political, and cultural society of the destination of their choices.

The patiho Formation sandstones, which crop out in Aregud neighborhood in Eastern paraguay and show columnar joints near the contact zone with a nephelinite dyke, have as their main characteristics the high pro- portion of syntaxial quartz overgrowth and a porosity originated from different processes, initially by dissolu- tion and later by partial filling and fracturing. Features like the presence of floating grains in the syntaxial cement, the transitional interpenetrative contact between the silica-rich cement and grains as well as the intense fracture porosity are strong indications that the cement has been formed by dissolution and reprecipita- tion of quartz from the framework under the effect of thermal expansion followed by rapid contraction. The increase of the silica-rich cement towards the dyke in association with the orthogonal disposition of the columns relative to dyke walls are indicative that the igneous body may represent the main heat source for the interstitial aqueous solutions previously existing in the sediments. At macroscopic scale, the increasing of inter- nal tensions in the sandstones is responsible for the nucleation of polygons, leading to the individualization of prisms, which are interconnected by a system of joints, formed firstly on isotherm surfaces of low tem- perature and later on successive adjacent planes towards the dyke heat source.

Intestinal anti-inflammatory activity of Ground Cherry(physalis angulata L.)standardized CO2 phytopharmaceutical preparation

AIM To investigate the effects of Ground Cherry(physalis angulata L.)standardized supercritical CO_2 extract in trinitrobenzenesulphonic acid(TNBS)model of rat intestinal *** The animals were divided into groups that received vehicle or *** extract(pACO_2)orally at the doses 25,50 and 100 mg/kg daily by 5 d before TNBS *** effects of pACO_2 were assessed by macroscopic analysis,biochemical determinations of the levels of myeloperoxidase(MpO),alkaline phosphatase(ALp),glutathione and cytokines(such as INF-γ,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-10 and TNF-α),gene expression evaluation(including Hsp70,heparanase,NF-κB,mitogenactivated protein kinases(Mapk)1,3,6 and 9,and the mucins genes Muc 1,2,3 and 4)and histopathological studies using optical,and electronic(transmission and scanning)*** pACO2 extract promoted a significant reduction in MpO and ALp activities,reducing oxidative stress and neutrophil *** effects were accompanied by significant reduction of colonic levels of IFN-γand IL-6 and down-regulation of heparanase,Hsp70,Mapk3,Mapk9,Muc1 and Muc2 genes expression when compared with TNBS-control *** addition,protective effects were also evidenced by reduced neutrophil infiltration,recovery of cell architecture and replacement of mucin by histopathological and ultrastructural *** physalis angulata supercritical CO2 extract is an intestinal anti-inflammatory product that modulates oxidative stress,immune response and expression of inflammatory mediators,with potentially utility for treating inflammatory bowel disease.
