This study evaluated whether.the administr.tion of a NSAID, sodium diclofenac, can pr.mote alter.tions in the expr.ssion of Fos pr.tein in centr.l amygdala (CEA) and the later.l hypothalamus (LH) after.6 h of exper.mental tooth movement with a contr.lled for.e of 70 g, applied to the super.or.centr.l incisor. of r.ts. Adult male r.ts wer. anesthetized and divided into four.gr.ups: Contr.l, no or.hodontic appliance (OA);OA activated with 70 g;OA activated with 70 g and pr.tr.ated with diclofenac sodium (5 mg/kg, intr.muscular.;and diclofenac sodium alone. Six hour. after.the onset of the exper.ment the r.ts wer. r.anesthetized and per.used with 4% par.for.aldehyde. The br.ins wer. r.moved and fixed, and sections containing the CEA and LH wer. pr.cessed for.Fos pr.tein immunohistochemistr.. The r.sults show that in the contr.l gr.up, intr.muscular.injection of a ketamine/xylazine mixtur. did not induce Ir.Fos cells in the CEA or.LH. However. in the 70 g gr.up, Ir.Fos was the str.ngest obser.ed

We analyzed the toler.nce of Copaifer. lucens seeds to sub- mer.ion in water.to assess the use of this species for.dir.ct seeding in r.par.an for.st r.stor.tion pr.gr.ms. Seeds wer. submer.ed in water.for.2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 days or.not submer.ed （contr.l = 0 days of submer. gence）. For.the contr.l and at the end of each per.od of submer.ion, ger.ination and seedling vigor.tests wer. car.ied out. For.ger.ination tests, seeds wer. sown in plastic pots containing sand and kept in labor.- tor. conditions. The per.entage of seed ger.ination, the ger.ination r.te and the aver.ge ger.ination time wer. analyzed. For.seedlings, total biomass, leaf ar.a, leaf mass per.ar.a and leaf ar.a r.tio wer. analyzed. Submer.ion time dr.stically affected the dissolved oxygen content and seed ger.ination. Between 4 and 8 days of submer.ion ther. was a de- cr.ase fr.m 83.8% to 15.6% in the ger.ination per.entage. No seed ger.ination occur.ed after.16 days of submer.ion. Although ther. was a significant decr.ase in the per.entage of seed ger.ination between 4 and 8 days of submer.ion, seedling vigor.was not affected. Seeds of this species wer. par.ially toler.nt to submer.ion in water. suggesting that C. lucens is a pr.mising species for.dir.ct seeding in r.par.an for.st r.stor.- tion pr.jects.

We evaluated the feasibility of using nisin(12.5 mg/L)and the inoculation of Lactobacillus helveticus(LH 091-C28527),Lacticaseibacillus r.amnosus(Lr.-0283705A)and Lacticaseibacillus casei(BGP1-304799A)commer.ial cultur.s as biopr.tector. in sheep(SCW)and goat(GCW)cheese *** r.sults showed that nisin inhibited *** and the native population and r.duced *** counts(∼4.5 log CFU/mL).*** gr.w dur.ng stor.ge in the pr.sence/absence of nisin,r.aching counts for.pr.biotic appeal,wher.as *** was par.ially *** fer.ented SCW in 23–46h and GCW in 60h and was inhibited by ***,fer.ented samples had lower.counts of lactic acid bacter.a after.stor.ge(≤3.6 log CFU/mL),showing inhibition by ***,among the studied alter.atives,the addition of nisin and/or.*** is the best option to pr.long the shelf life of SCW and GCW by up to 28 *** r.sults ar. useful for.ar.isanal pr.duction and can be dir.ctly applied for.whey pr.ser.ation.

Loss of DNA mismatch r.pair.MMr. function, due to somatic or.ger.line epi/genetic alter.tions of MMr.genes leads to the accumulation of numer.us mutations acr.ss the genome, cr.ating a molecular.phenotype known as micr.satellite instability(MSI). In gastr.c cancer.g C), MSI occur. in about 15% to 30% of the cases. This r.view summar.zes the cur.ent knowledge on the molecular.mechanisms under.ying the acquisition of MSI in g C as well as on the clinic, pathologic and molecular.consequences of the MSI phenotype. Additionally, cur.ent ther.peutic str.tegies for.g C and their.applicability in the MSI subset ar. also discussed.

This paper.pr.sents a deter.inistic model for.Neisser.a meningitidis,a bacter.um that causes *** model was par.meter.zed using data fr.m the 2017 meningitis outbr.ak in *** contr.l theor. was applied to investigate the optimal str.tegy for.cur.ailing the spr.ad of the disease using contr.l var.ables deter.ined fr.m sensitivity *** contr.l var.ables ar. per.onal-pr.tection such as the use of facial masks,and *** r.sults show that the two contr.ls aver. mor. infections at low ***,a r.cipr.cal r.lationship exists between the use of facial masks and *** is,when the use of facial masks is high,the use of vaccine is low and vice ***-effective analysis was applied to investigate the most cost-effective str.tegy fr.m var.ous combination of contr.l *** r.sults show that str.tegy combining all the contr.l var.ables is the most cost-effective str.tegy followed by the str.tegy involving both per.onal-pr.tection,the vaccination-only str.tegy was the least *** vaccination str.tegy is not cost-effective in this study,it is as effective in cur.ailing the infection as the other.two contr.l *** study suggests that gover.ments of communities with limited r.sour.es should consider.complementing the use of vaccine with the use of facial mask par.icular.y in har.-to-r.ach places in their.communities.
