Acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) catalyzes the formation of cholesteryl estersfrom cholesterol and long-chain fatty-acyl-coenzyme *** the single-cell level,ACAT serves as a regulatorof intracellular cholesterol *** addition,ACAT supplies cholesteryl esters for lipoproteinassembly in the liver and small *** pathological conditions,the accumulation of cholesterylesters produced by ACAT in macrophages contributes to foam cell formation,a hallmark of the earlystage of *** reviews addressing various aspects of ACAT and ACAT inhibitors areavailable [1-8].This review briefly outlines the current knowledge on the biochemical properties of humanACATs,and then focuses on discussing the merit of ACAT as a drug target for pharmaceutical interventionsagainst atherosclerosis.

采用音节检测、短时言语记忆、快速命名等语音加工任务和汉字、字母、数字等方向加工任务,探讨语音和文字加工在儿童初步阅读中的作用,116名6岁左右的香港双语儿童参加了测试。结果表明:语音加工能力是跨语言的比较稳定的因素,是预测汉语和英语阅读的较好指标;文字加工具有特异性,即汉字方向加工只能预测汉语阅读,字母方向加工则预测英语阅读。

In macrophages, the accumulation of cholesteryl esters synthesized by the activated acyl-coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase-1 (ACAT1) results in the foam cell formation, a hallmark of early atherosclerotic lesions. In this study, with the treatment of a glucocorticoid hormone dexamethasone (Dex), lipid staining results clearly showed the large accumulation of lipid droplets containing cholesteryl esters in THP-1-derived macrophages exposed to lower concentration of the oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL). More notably, when treated together with specific anti-ACAT inhibitors, the abundant cholesteryl ester accumulation was markedly diminished in THP-1-derived macrophages, confirming that ACAT is the key enzyme responsible for intracellular cholesteryl ester synthesis. RT-PCR and Western blot results indicated that Dex caused up-regulation of human ACAT1 expression at both the mRNA and protein levels in THP-1 and THP-1-derived macrophages. 本研究有两个目的：第一,开发一个评定母亲辅导幼儿书写的中文量表,第二,根据开发的量表探讨香港不同年级幼儿(k2&p1)母亲书写辅导方式的区别。20个 k2和20个 p1的幼儿和他们的母亲参与本研究。本研究记录母亲辅导幼儿书写的过程并测验幼儿独立的读写能力。母亲辅导幼儿书写的过程为：给幼儿一些中文词,让母亲帮助他们书写直到母亲认为写得可以了。幼儿独立读写能力的测验包括单词再认和词汇定义。根据母亲书写辅导的过程,本研究抽出三个纬度以组成母亲辅导幼儿书写的中文量表：
