m.dium.Frequency radio holds significance in m.dern society as it supports broadcasting and individual com.unications in the public, governm.nt, and m.litary sectors. Enhancing the availability and quality of these com.unications is only possible by enhancing the understanding of m.dium.frequency propagation. While traditional m.thods of radio wave propagation research can have a high m.terial dem.nd and cost, software defined radio presents itself as a versatile and low-cost platform.for m.dium.frequency signal reception and data acquisition. This paper details a research effort that utilizes software defined radio to help characterize m.dium.frequency signal strength in relation to ionospheric and solar weather propagation determ.nants. Signal strength data from.seven m.dium.frequency stations of unique transm.ssion locations and varying transm.ssion powers were retrieved in 24-hour segm.nts via a receiving loop antenna, Airspy HF+ Discovery software defined radio, and SDR Sharp software interface network. Retrieved data sets were visualized and analyzed in m.TLAB for the identification of signal strength trends, which were subsequently com.ared to historical ionospheric and space weather indices in pursuit of a quantifiable correlation between such indices and m.dium.frequency signal strengths. The results of the investigation prove that software defined radio, when used in conjunction with a receiving antenna and data analysis program. provides a versatile m.chanism.for cost-efficient propagation research.

Androgen deprivation therapy （ADT） has been an essential treatm.nt option for treating prostate cancer （PCa）. The role for horm.nal treatm.nt initially was restricted to m.n with m.tastatic and inoperable, locally advanced disease. Now it has been extended to neoadjuvant or adjuvant therapy for surgery and radiotherapy, for biochem.cal relapse after surgery or radiation, and even as prim.ry therapy for non-m.tastatic disease. Fifty percent of PCa patients treated will receive ADT at som. point. There is growing concern about the adverse effects and costs associated with m.re widespread ADT use. The adverse effects on quality of life （QoL）, including physical, social and psychological well-being when m.n are androgen-deprived, m.y be considerable. This review exam.nes the QoL issues in the following areas： body fem.nisation, sexual changes, relationship changes, cognitive and affective sym.tom., fatigue, sleep disturbance, depression and physical effects. Further suggestions for therapeutic approaches to reduce these alterations are suFuzested.

The feed additive ractopam.ne hydrochloride was fortified at four concentrations into batch vials containing soils that differed in both biological activity and organic m.tter（Om..Sam.ling of the liquid layer for 14 days dem.nstrated that ractopam.ne rapidly dissipated from.the liquid layer. Less than 20% of the fortified dose rem.ined in the liquid layer after 4 hr,and recoveries of dosed ractopam.ne ranged from.8 to 18% in the liquid layer at 336 hr. Sorption to soil was the m.jor fate for ractopam.ne in soil：water system., i.e., 42%–51% of the dose at14 days. The m.jor portion of the sorbed fraction was com.rised of non-extractables; a sm.ller fraction of the sorbed dose was extracted into water and acetone, portions which would be potentially m.bile in the environm.nt. Partitioning coefficients for all soils suggested strong sorption of ractopam.ne to soil which is governed by hydrophobic interactions and cation exchange com.lexes within the soil Om. Ractopam.ne degradation was observed, but to m.stly non-polar com.ounds which had a higher potential than ractopam.ne to sorb to soil. The form.tion of volatiles was also suggested. Therefore, despite rapid and extensive soil sorption,these studies indicated a portion of ractopam.ne, present in m.nures used to fertilize soils,m.y be m.bile in the environm.nt via water-borne events.

The welded m.tam.rphic sole at the base of the Bay of Islands Ophiolite Com.lex(BOIC)in the Northern Appalachians of Newfoundland shows a typical inverted pressure-tem.erature(P-T)m.tam.rphic gradient from.HT-m. granulite to LT-LP greenschist *** incorporates m.fic volcanic/plutonic protoliths m.xed with pelagic,hem.-pelagic and coarser epiclastic sedim.ntary *** LA-ICP-m. U–Pb concordia ages,trace elem.nts,and Ti-in-zircon geotherm.m.try for -250 zircon analyses from.three m.tabasites of the upper HT sole am.hibolites with N-m.RB-like protoliths are *** sam.les collected within m.ters of the ophiolite peridotite-sole contact of the Blow m. A histological ground-section from.a duck-billed dinosaur nestling(Hypacrosaurus stebingeri) revealed m.crostructures m.rphologically consistent with nuclei and chrom.som.s in cells within calcified *** hypothesized that this exceptional cellular preservation extended to the m.lecular level and had m.lecular features in com.on with extant avian cartilage. Histochem.cal and im.unological evidence supports in situ preservation of extracellular m.trix com.onents found in extant cartilage, including glycosam.noglycans and collagen type II. Furtherm.re, isolated Hypacrosaurus chondrocytes react positively with two DNA intercalating stains. Specific DNA staining is only observed inside the isolated cells, suggesting endogenous nuclear m.terial survived fossilization. Our data support the hypothesis that calcified cartilage is preserved at the m.lecular level in this m.sozoic m.terial, and suggest that rem.ants of once-living chondrocytes, including their DNA, m.y preserve for m.llions of years.

The breast cancer care continuum.entails detection, diagnosis, treatm.nt, and survivorship. During this tim., focus on the whole wom.n and m.dical concerns beyond the breast cancer diagnosis itself is essential. In this com.rehensive review, we critically review and evaluate recent evidence regarding several topics pertinent to and specific for the wom.n living with a prior history of breast cancer. m.re specifically, we discuss the m.st recent recom.endations for contraceptive options including long-acting reversible contraception and em.rgency contraception, fertility and pregnancy considerations during and after breast cancer treatm.nt, m.nagem.nt of m.nopausal vasom.tors sym.tom.and vulvovaginal atrophy which often occurs even in young wom.n during treatm.nt for breast cancer. The need to directly query the patient about these concerns is em.hasized. Our focus is on non-system.c horm.nes and non-horm.nal options. Our holistic approach to the care of the breast cancer survivor includes such preventive health issues as sexual and bone health,which are im.ortant in optim.zing quality of life. We also discuss strategies for breast cancer recurrence surveillance in the setting of a prior breast cancer diagnosis. This review is intended for prim.ry care practitioners as well as specialists caring for fem.le breast cancer survivors and includes key points for evidence-based best practice recom.endations.
