Every day walking consists of frequent voluntary modifications in the gait pattern to negotiate *** spinal cord injury,stepping over an obstacle becomes *** over an obstacle requires sensorimotor transformations in several structures of the brain,including the parietal cortex,premotor cortex,and motor *** information and planning are transformed into motor commands,which are sent from the motor cortex to spinal neuronal circuits to alter limb trajectory,coordinate the limbs,and maintain *** spinal cord injury,bidirectional communication between the brain and spinal cord is disrupted and animals,including humans,fail to voluntarily modify limb trajectory to step over an ***,in this review,we discuss the neuromechanical control of stepping over an obstacle,why it fails after spinal cord injury,and how it recovers to a certain extent.

In the beginning of the 1900s,the prevalence of catatonia in inpatient samples was reported to be between 19.5%and 50%.From the mid-1900s,most clinicians thought that catatonia was *** in medical sciences,particularly in the field of neurology,may have reduced the incidence of neurological diseases that present with catatonic features or mitigated their *** active pharmacological and psychosocial treatment methods may have either eliminated or moderated catatonic ***,the relatively narrow descriptive features in modern classifications compared with classical texts and ascribing catatonic signs and symptoms to antipsychotic-induced motor symptoms may have contributed to an apparent decline in the incidence of *** application of catatonia rating scales introduced in the 1990s revealed significantly more symptoms than routine clinical interviews,and within a few years,the notion of the disappearance of catatonia gave way to its unexpected *** systematic investigations have found that,on average,10%of acute psychotic patients present with catatonic *** this editorial,the changes in the incidence of catatonia and the possible underlying causes are reviewed.

We show that when A is a separable C*-algebra,every countably generated Hilbert A-module is projective（with bounded module maps as morphisms）.We also study the approximate extensions of bounded module *** the case where A is a σ-unital simple C*-algebra with strict comparison,and every strictly positive lower semicontinuous affine function on quasitraces can be realized as the rank of an element in the Cuntz semigroup,we show that the Cuntz semigroup is equivalent to unitarily equivalent classes of countably generated Hilbert A-modules if and only if A has stable rank one.

An experimental realization of a ballistic superconductor proximitized semiconductor nanowire device is a necessary step towards engineering topological quantum electronics. Here, we report on ballistic transport in In Sb nanowires grown by molecular-beam epitaxy contacted by superconductor electrodes. At an elevated temperature, clear conductance plateaus are observed at zero magnetic field and in agreement with calculations based on the Landauer formula. At lower temperature, we have observed characteristic Fabry–Pérot patterns which confirm the ballistic nature of charge ***, the magnetoconductance measurements in the ballistic regime reveal a periodic variation related to the Fabry–Pérot oscillations. The result can be reasonably explained by taking into account the impact of magnetic field on the phase of ballistic electron＇s wave function, which is further verified by our simulation. Our results pave the way for better understanding of the quantum interference effects on the transport properties of In Sb nanowires in the ballistic regime as well as developing of novel device for topological quantum computations.

We demonstrate a simple way of fabricating high performance tunnel devices from p-doped InAs nanowires by tailoring the n-doped surface accumulation layer inherent to InAs surfaces. By using appropriate ammonium sulfide based surface passivation before metallization without any further thermal treatment, we demonstrate characteristics of tunnel p-n junctions, namely Esaki and backward diodes, with figures of merit better than previously published for InAs homojunctions. The further optimization of both the surface doping, in a quantitative way, and the device geometry allows us to demonstrate that these nanowire-based technologically-simple diodes have promising direct current characteristics for integrated high frequency detection or generation.
