Flowers are composed of organs whose identity is defined by the combinatorial activity of transcription factors(TFs).The interactions between mADS-box TFs and protein complex formation have been schematized in the floral quartet model of flower *** gynoecium is the flower’s female reproductive part,crucial for fruit and seed production and,hence,for reproductive *** the establishment of carpel identity,many tissues arise to form a mature *** have been described as regulators of gynoecium development,and some interactions and complexes have been ***,broad knowledge about the interactions among these TFs and their participation during development remains *** this study,we used a systems biology approach to understand the formation of a complex reproductive unit—as the gynoecium—by mapping binary interactions between well-characterized *** analyzed almost 4500 combinations and detected more than 250 protein-protein interactions(PPIs),resulting in a process-specific interaction *** analyses suggest hidden functions and novel roles for many *** addition,we observed a close relationship between TFs involved in auxin and cytokinin-signaling pathways and other ***,we analyzed the network by combining PPI data,expression,and genetic data,which helped us to dissect it into several dynamic spatio-temporal subnetworks related to gynoecium development ***,we generated an extended PPI network that predicts new players in gynoecium *** together,all these results serve as a valuable resource for the plant community.

Post-acute pancreatitis diabetes(PAPD)is the second most common type of diabetes below type 2 diabetes *** to the boom in research on this entity carried out during the last decade,its recognition has ***,much of the medical community still does not recognize it as a medium and long-term complication of acute pancreatitis(AP).Recent prospective cohort studies show that its incidence is about 23%globally and 34.5%in patients with severe *** the overall increase in the incidence of AP this complication will be certainly seen more *** to its high morbidity,mortality and difficult control,early detection and treatment are ***,its risk factors and pathophysiological mechanisms are not clearly *** diagnosis should be made excluding pre-existing diabetes and applying the criteria of the American Diabetes Association after 90 d of resolution of one or more AP *** review will show the evidence published so far on the incidence and prevalence,risk factors,possible pathophysiological mechanisms,clinical outcomes,clinical characteristics and preventive and corrective management of *** important gaps needing to be clarified in forthcoming studies will also be discussed.

Computational algorithms for simulating the grain structure formed on steel billets using cellular automaton and chaos theories

The development of some computational algorithms based on cellular automaton was described to simulate the structures formed during the solidification of steel *** algorithms described take results from the steel thermal behavior and heat removal previously calculated using a simulator developed by present authors in a previous *** time is used for displaying the steel transition from liquid to mushy and *** it is also used to command computational subroutines that reproduce nucleation and grain *** routines are logically programmed using the programming language C＋＋ and are based on a simultaneous solution of numerical methods （stochastic and deterministic） to create a graphical representation of different grain structures *** grain structure obtained is displayed on the computer screen using a graphical user interface （gUI）.The chaos theory and random generation numbers are included in the algorithms to simulate the heterogeneity of grain sizes and morphologies.

Sediment transport can be modelled using hydrodynamic models based on shallow water equations coupled with the sediment concentration conservation equation and the bed con-servation *** complete system of equations is made up of the energy balance law and the Exner *** numerical solution for this complete system is done in a seg-regated ***,the hyperbolic part of the system of balance laws is solved using a finite volume *** ways to compute the numerical flux have been considered,the Q-scheme of van Leer,the HLLCS approximate Riemann solver,and the last one takes into account the presence of non-conservative products in the *** discretisation of the source terms is carried out according to the numerical flux *** the second stage,the bed conservation equation is solved by using the approximation computed for the system of balance *** numerical schemes have been validated making comparisons between the obtained numerical results and the experimental data for some physical *** numerical results show a good agreement with the experimental data.

RAS and mYC rank amongst the most commonly altered oncogenes in cancer,with RAS being the most frequently mutated and mYC the most *** cooperative interplay between RAS and mYC constitutes a complex and multifaceted phenomenon,profoundly influencing tumor *** and individually,these two oncogenes regulate most,if not all,hallmarks of cancer,including cell death escape,replicative immortality,tumor-associated angiogenesis,cell invasion and metastasis,metabolic adaptation,and immune *** to their frequent alteration and role in tumorigenesis,mYC and RAS emerge as highly appealing targets in cancer ***,due to their complex nature,both oncogenes have been long considered“undruggable”and,until recently,no drugs directly targeting them had reached the *** review aims to shed light on their complex partnership,with special attention to their active collaboration in fostering an immunosuppressive milieu and driving immunotherapeutic resistance in *** this review,we also present an update on the different inhibitors targeting RAS and mYC currently undergoing clinical trials,along with their clinical outcomes and the different combination strategies being explored to overcome drug *** recent clinical development suggests a paradigm shift in the long-standing belief of RAS and mYC“undruggability”,hinting at a new era in their therapeutic targeting.

The authors present the general theory of cleft extensions for a cocommutative weak Hopf algebra H. For a right H-comodule algebra, they obtain a bijective corre- spondence between the isomorphisms classes of H-cleft extensions AH → A, where AH is the subalgebra of coinvariants, and the equivalence classes of crossed systems for H over AH. Finally, they establish a bijection between the set of equivalence classes of crossed systems with a fixed weak H-module algebra structure and the second cohomology group H2φz（AH）（H, z（AH））, where z（AH） is the center of AH.

The dynamics of a nanosecond gas discharge development with an extended slot cathode in argon

The article presents the results of an experimental study and numerical modelling for the formation and development dynamics of a high-voltage transverse nanosecond discharge generated by a slot cathode in an argon medium at a pressure range of 1–10 Torr. numerical modelling was carried out under similar experimental conditions for the processes of formation and propagation of ionisation waves, electron density distribution, excited atom and average electron energy in the discharge gap, including the cavity inside the cathode. At a pressure of p=1 Torr, a classical version of a high-voltage discharge is demonstrated to take place with no penetration of the plasma into the cathode cavity and no observed hollow cathode effect. An increase in gas pressure to 5 Torr leads to a penetration of plasma into the cathode cavity with the formation of a cathodic potential drop(CPD) region. Electrons emitted from the side surfaces of the cavity pass through the CPD region without collisions, oscillate inside the cathode cavity;the hollow cathode effect is fully manifested. At р=10 Torr, the modelling results qualitatively coincide with the results at р=5 Torr;in this case, however, hardly any accelerated electrons are observed in the gap between the electrodes, due to their energetic relaxation both inside the cathode cavity and when exiting from it. In both cases, the plasma structure formed at the exit of the cathode cavity involves a concentration of charged particles an order of magnitude higher than that in the rest of the gap, leading to a self-limiting discharge current effect. The results of the numerical modelling are in good agreement with experimental data.

This article presents the 2D simulation results of a nanosecond pulsed hollow cathode discharge obtained through a combination of fluid and kinetic *** spatio-temporal evolution of the electron energy distribution function(EEDF)of the plasma column and electrical characteristics of the nanosecond pulsed hollow cathode discharge at a gas pressure of 5 Torr are *** results show that the discharge development starts with the formation of an ionization front at the anode *** ionization front splits into two parts in the cathode cavity while propagating along its lateral *** ionization front formation leads to an increase in the fast isotropic EEDF component at its front,as well as in the anisotropic EEDF *** accelerated electrons enter the cathode cavity,which significantly contributes to the formation of the highenergy EEDF component and EEDF anisotropy.

Improving precision of field inventory estimation of aboveground biomass through an alternative view on plot biomass

We contrast a new continuous approach(CA)for estimating plot-level above-ground biomass(AgB)in forest inventories with the current approach of estimating AgB exclusively from the tree-level AgB predicted for each tree in a plot,henceforth called DA(discrete approach).With the CA,the AgB in a forest is modelled as a continuous surface and the AgB estimate for a fixed-area plot is computed as the integral of the AgB surface taken over the plot *** with the CA,the portion of the biomass of in-plot trees that extends across the plot perimeter is ignored while the biomass from trees outside of the plot reaching inside the plot is *** use a sampling simulation with data from a fully mapped two hectare area to illustrate that important differences in plot-level AgB estimates can *** CA-based estimates of mean AgB should be less variable than those derived from the *** realized,this difference translates to a higher precision from field sampling,or a lower required sample *** our case study with a target precision of 5%(*** standard error of the estimated mean AgB),the CA required a 27.1%lower sample size for small plots of 100 m2 and a 10.4%lower sample size for larger plots of 1700 *** examined sampling induced errors only and did not yet consider model *** discuss practical issues in implementing the CA in field inventories and the potential in applications that model biomass with remote sensing *** CA is a variation on a plot design for above-ground forest biomass;as such it can be applied in combination with any forest inventory sampling design.

Efficient metallization of magnetite concentrate by reduction with agave bagasse as a source of reducing agents

The reduction behavior and metallization degree of magnetite concentrate with agave bagasse were investigated in an inert *** effects of temperature,biomass content,and residence time on reduction experiments and metallization degree were investigated by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron *** with other types of biomass,agave bagasse had lower contents of nitrogen,sulfur,and ash.X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the metallization degree improved with increasing temperature and biomass *** metallization was achieved at 1100℃ for 30 min with 65:35 and 50:50 ratios of the magnetite concentrate to the agave *** results demonstrate that agave bagasse promotes the efficient metallization of magnetite concentrate without the external addition of a reducing ***,this biomass is a technical suitable alternative to replace fossil fuels in steelmaking.
