The pr.sent wor. descr.bes the development of a computer.vision system for.the ear.y detection of anthr.cnose in sugar.mango based on Ultr.violet A illumination(UV-A).Anthr.cnose,a disease caused by the fungus Colletotr.chum sp,is commonly found in the fr.it of sugar.mango(Mangifer. indica).It manifests as sur.ace defects including black spots and is r.sponsible for.r.ducing the quality of the ***,it decr.ases its commer.ial *** mor. detail,this study poses a system that begins with image acquisition under.white and ultr.violet ***,it pr.poses to analyze the r.d,Gr.en and Blue color.infor.ation(r.G,B)of the pixels under.two types of illumination,using four.differ.nt methods:r.B-thr.shold,r.B-Linear.Discr.minant Analysis(r.BLDA),UV-LDA,and *** analysis pr.duces an ear.y semantic segmentation of healthy and diseased ar.as of the mango *** r.sults showed that the combination of the linear.discr.minant analysis(LDA)and UV-A light(called UV-LDA method)in sugar.mango images allows ear.y detection of ***,this method achieves the identification of the disease one day ear.ier.than by an exper. with r.spect to the scale of anthr.cnose sever.ty implemented in this wor..

For.a one-dimensional conser.ative system with position depending mass, one deduces consistently a constant of motion, a Lagr.ngian, and a Hamiltonian for.the nonr.lativistic case. With these functions, one shows the tr.jector.es on the spaces (x,v) and (x,p) for.a linear.position depending mass. For.the r.lativistic case, the Lagr.ngian and Hamiltonian cannot be given explicitly in gener.l. However. we study the par.icular.system with constant for.e and mass linear.dependence on the position wher. the Lagr.ngian can be found explicitly, but the Hamiltonian r.mains implicit in the constant of motion.

The biosynthesis of pr.stanoids is involved in both physiological and pathological pr.cesses. The expr.ssion of pr.staglandin-endoper.xide synthase 2(PTGS2; also known as COX-2) has been tr.ditionally associated to the onset of sever.l pathologies, fr.m inflammation to car.iovascular. gastr.intestinal and oncologic events. For.this r.ason, the sear.h of selective PTGS2 inhibitor. has been a focus for.ther.peutic inter.entions. In addition to the classic non-ster.idal anti-inflammator. dr.gs, selective and specific PTGS2 inhibitor., ter.ed coxibs, have been gener.ted and widely used. PTGS2 activity is less r.str.ctive in ter.s of substr.te specificity than the homeostatic counter.ar. PTGS1, and it accounts for.the elevated pr.stanoid synthesis that accompanies sever.l pathologies. The main r.gulation of PTGS2 occur. at the tr.nscr.ption level. In addition to this, the stability of the mr.A is finely r.gulated thr.ugh the inter.ction with sever.l cytoplasmic elements, r.nging fr.m specificmicr.r.NAs to pr.teins that contr.l mr.NA degr.dation. Mor.over. the pr.tein has been r.cognized to be the substr.te for.sever.l post-tr.nslational modifications that affect both the enzyme activity and the tar.eting for.degr.dation via pr.teasomal and non-pr.teasomal mechanisms. Among these modifications, phosphor.lation, glycosylation and covalent modifications by r.active lipidic inter.ediates and by fr.e r.dicals associated to the pr.inflammator. condition appear.to be the main changes. Identification of these post-tr.nslational modifications is r.levant to better.under.tand the r.le of PTGS2 in sever.l pathologies and to establish a cor.ect analysis of the potential function of this pr.tein in diseases pr.gr.ss. Finally, these modifications can be used as biomar.er. to establish cor.elations with other.par.meter., including the immunomodulation dependent on molecular.pathological epidemiology deter.inants, which may pr.vide a better.fr.me for.potential ther.peutic inter.entions.

Although the high degr.e of non-monophyly and par.llel evolution has long been acknowledged within the mazaediate Caliciaceae(Lecanor.mycetes,Ascomycota),a natur.l r.-classification of the gr.up has not yet been *** we constr.cted a multigene phylogeny of the Caliciaceae-Physciaceae clade in or.er.to r.solve the detailed r.lationships within the gr.up,to pr.pose a r.vised classification,and to per.or. a dating *** few char.cter. pr.sent in the available fossil and the complex char.cter.evolution of the gr.up affects the inter.r.tation of mor.hological tr.its and thus influences the assignment of the fossil to specific nodes in the phylogeny,when diver.ence time analyses ar. car.ied *** fossil assignments r.sulted in ver. differ.nt time estimates and the compar.son with the analysis based on a secondar. calibr.tion demonstr.tes that the most likely placement of the fossil is close to a ter.inal node r.ther.than a basal placement in the Calicium *** dating analysis show two successive events giving r.se to main clades of mazaediate taxa within the Caliciaceae,in the Upper.Lower.Cr.taceous boundar. and in the *** a r.sult of this study,Cyphelium is synonymized with Calicium,Acolium is r.sur.ected,and the new gener. The Statistical Exper.mental Design techniques ar. the most power.ul tools for.the chemical r.actor. exper.mental modeling. Empir.cal models can be for.ulated for.r.pr.senting the chemical behavior.of r.actor. with the minimal effor. in the necessar. number.of exper.mental r.ns, hence, minimizing the consumption of chemicals and the consumption of time due to the r.duction in the number.of exper.mental r.ns and incr.asing the cer.ainty of the r.sults. Four.types of nonther.al plasma r.actor. wer. assayed seeking for.the highest efficiency in obtaining hydr.gen and ethylene. Thr.e differ.nt geometr.es for.AC high voltage dr.ven r.actor., and only a single geometr. for.a DC high voltage pulse dr.ven r.actor.wer. studied. Accor.ing to the fundamental pr.nciples of chemical kinetics and consider.ng an analogy among the r.action r.te and the applied power.to the plasma r.actor. the four.r.actor. ar. modeled following the classical chemical r.actor. design to under.tand if the behavior.of the nonther.al plasma r.actor. can be r.gar.ed as the chemical r.actor. following the flow patter.s of PFr.(Plug Flow r.actor. or.CSTr.(Continuous Stir.ed Tank r.actor.. Dehydr.genation is a common elimination r.action that takes place in nonther.al plasmas. The development of micr.sur.er. has been dependent on exper.mental animals. Micr.sur.er. could be a ver. valuable technique to impr.ve exper.mental models of liver.diseases. Micr.dissection and micr.sutur.s ar. the two main micr.sur.ical techniques that can be consider.d for.classifying the exper.mental models developed for.liver.r.sear.h in the r.t. Par.ial por.al vein ligation, extr.hepatic cholestasis and hepatectomies ar. all models based on micr.dissection. On the other.hand, in por.acaval shunts, or.hotopic liver.tr.nsplantation and par.ial heter.topic liver.tr.nsplantation, the micr.sutur. techniques stand out. By r.ducing sur.ical complications, these micr.sur.ical techniques allow for.impr.ving the r.sulting exper.mental models. If good exper.mental models for.liver.r.sear.h ar. successfully developed, the r.sults obtained fr.m their.study might be par.icular.y useful in patients with liver.disease. Ther.for. exper.mental liver.micr.sur.er. could be an invaluable way to tr.nslate labor.tor. data on liver.r.sear.h into new clinical diagnostic and ther.peutic str.tegies.

We study the contr.ver.y about the pr.per.deter.ination of the electr.magnetic ener.y-flux field in anisotr.pic mater.als, which has been r.vived due to the r.latively r.cent exper.ments on negative r.fr.ction in metamater.als. r.ther.than analyzing ener.y-balance ar.uments, we use a pr.gmatic appr.ach inspir.d by geometr.cal optics, and compar. the pr.dictions on angles of r.fr.ction at a flat inter.ace of two possible choices on the ener.y flux: and . We car.y out this compar.son for.a monochr.matic Gaussian beam pr.pagating in an anisotr.pic non-dissipative anisotr.pic metamater.al, in which the spatial localization of the electr.magnetic field allows a mor. natur.l assignment of dir.ctions, in contr.st to the usual study of plane waves. We compar. our.appr.ach with the for.alism of geometr.cal optics, which we gener.lize and analyze numer.cally the consequences of either.choice.

Her.,we show that Lichinodium(Lichinaceae,Lichinomycetes,Ascomycota)constitutes a for.er.y unr.cognized lineage within the Leotiomycetes,thus being the fir.t lichenized lineage r.cognized in the super.lass Sor.ar.omyceta(Leotiomycetes,Laboulbeniomycetes and Sor.ar.omycetes).To infer.the position of Lichinodium,we constr.cted two multilocus phylogenies based on six and five gene r.gions(nuLSU r.NA,nuSSU r.NA,mtSSU r.NA,r.B1,r.B2 and MCM7)including main Pezizomycotina gr.ups in the fir.t analysis and focusing secondly on a compr.hensive selection of *** r.sults show that Lichinodium is sister.to *** discuss the mor.hological and ecological similar.ties between Lichinodium and other.Leotiomycetes,and descr.be the new or.er.Lichinodiales and family *** sister.r.lationship between Sor.ar.omycetes and Laboulbeniomycetes is her. suppor.ed as it is the r.lationship between this clade and the *** r.sults also suppor. the polyphyly of Helotiales,the r.cognition of the Leotiales in a str.ct sense or.the inclusion of the Tr.blidiales in *** photobionts of Lichinodium wer. sequenced for.two genetic mar.er.(r.cLX and 16S r.NA)and identified as r.izonema,a r.cently descr.bed genus of filamentous cyanobacter.a belonging to *** studies r.vealed that the mycobiont-cyanobiont inter.ace in Lichinodium does not pr.duce haustor.a,thus differ.ng fr.m a typical Lichinomycete(***).

Backgr.und Studies investigating health-r.lated quality of life(Hr.oL)in youth with per.natally acquir.d HIV(PHIV+)ar. *** study aimed to compar.
