The aging of the periocular region has always aroused great interest.A fresh,young,and attractive sight determined an ever-greater attention to surgical and non-surgical techniques to obtain this *** particular,the change in the concept of a young look,considered then“full”,led to the increasing use of surgical(fat grafting)or medical(hyaluronic acid)filling *** rejuvenation became increasingly popular in the field of cosmetic treatments,with a focus on achieving a youthful and refreshed *** the various techniques available,the choice between using fat grafting or fillers presented a clinical *** particular,what surgery considered of fundamental importance was a long-lasting result over *** the other hand,aesthetic medicine considered it fundamental not to have to resort to invasive *** what was the reality?Was there one path better than the other,and above all,was there a better path for patients?The minireview aims to explore the physiopathology,diagnosis,treatment options,prognosis,and future studies regarding this *** analyzed the literature produced in the last 20 years comparing the two *** literature reveals advancements in biomaterials,stem cell research and tissue engineering held promise for further enhancing the field of eyelid *** choice between fat grafting and fillers in eyelid cosmetic treatments presented a clinical *** physiopathology,accurately diagnosing eyelid aging,exploring treatment options,assessing prognosis,and conducting future studies were essential for providing optimal care to patients seeking eyelid rejuvenation.

Optical metasurfaces,*** of nanoantennas with sub-wavelength size and separation,enable the manipulation of light-matter interactions in miniaturized optical components with no classical *** decades after the first ob-servation of the second harmonic generation(SHG)in bulk crystals,these devices are expected to break new ground in the field of nonlinear optics,shifting the focus from the phase matching approach achieved within long propagation dis-tances to that of near-field resonances interplay in leaky *** we review the recent progress in SHG with all-dielectric *** discuss the most used technological platforms which underpinned such advances and analyze different SHG control *** finally compare their performances with other well-established technolo-gies,with the hope to delineate the current state-of-the-art and figure out a few scenarios in which these devices might soon offer unprecedented opportunities.

The design of high voltage and medium voltage AC and DC standoff insulators,and,in general,of insulation systems where surface and interface properties are predominant factors,is based on specifications and standards that rely upon long-term experiences and lab *** insulating properties depend on electrical and thermal stresses,besides environmental factors,and the inception of extrinsic ageing phenomena,such as partial discharges,can be already a cause of reduced reliability and premature failure(for organic insulating materials).An innovative approach,based on field simulation,discharge modelling,and partial discharge inception measurements is presented by the authors,which can establish a solid basis to optimise insulation design for any type of supply voltage *** method,the three-leg approach,is applied here to a cable system under AC sinusoidal voltage,but it can work for any type of insulation system,such as bushings,switch gears,transformers,rotating machines,and power electronics boards.
