m.ny orthopedic surgeons require that their patients obtain dental clearance before elective total joint arthroplasty(TJA).However,there is no consensus substantiating the *** this end,a system.tic review on the prevalence of dental pathology in TJA patients,risk factors for failing dental screening,and im.act of dental evaluations was *** was sourced from.Pubm.d and Scopus *** papers were sourced from.the initial search,one study was extracted from.the references of the original six m.nuscripts,and one new publication was retrieved from.a second search conducted after the *** prevalence of dental pathology ranged from.8.8%to 29.4%across *** of four papers reported lower than average or im.rovem.nts in postoperative infection with pre-operative dental evaluations while two found no such *** is insufficient evidence to support universal dental clearance before TJA.

An efficient generic static headspace gas chrom.tography （HSGC） m.thod was developed, optim.zed and validated for the routine determ.nation of several residual solvents （RS） in drug substance, using a strategy with two sets of calibration. Dim.thylsulfoxide （Dm.O） was selected as the sam.le diluent and internal standards were used to m.nim.ze signal variations due to the preparative step. A gas chrom.- tograph from.Agilent m.del 6890 equipped with flam. ionization detector （FID） and a DB-624 （30 m.× 0.53 m. i.d., 3.00 μm.film.thickness） colum. was used. The inlet split ratio was 5：1. The influ- encing factors in the chrom.tographic separation of the analytes were determ.ned through a fractional factorial experim.ntal design. Significant variables： the initial tem.erature （IT）, the final tem.erature （FT） of the oven and the carrier gas flow rate （F） were optim.zed using a central com.osite design. Response transform.tion and desirability function were applied to find out the optim.l com.ination of the chrom.tographic variables to achieve an adequate resolution of the analytes and short analysis tim.. These conditions were 30 ℃ for IT, 158 ℃ for FT and 1.90 m./m.n for F. The m.thod was proven to be accurate, linear in a wide range and very sensitive for the analyzed solvents through a com.rehensive validation according to the ICH guidelines.

The trem.ndous potential of triboelectric generators-TENGs for converting m.chanical energy into electrical energy places them.as one of the m.st prom.sing energy harvesting technologies. In this work, the fabrication of enhanced perform.nce TENGs using Ag octahedron nano-assem.lies on ITO as electrodes significantly increases the electric charge collection of the induced tribocharges. Thereby, nanostructured electrical contacts coated with Ag m.croscale nano-assem.lies with octahedral features were obtained by the electrodeposition technique on flexible PET/ITO substrates. Consequently, the nanostructured triboelectric generator-TENG exhibited 65 tim.s m.re m.xim.m.output power, and alm.st 10 tim.s m.re open circuit output voltage than that of a TENG with non-nanostructured contacts passing from.μW to m.W capabilities, which was attributed to the increm.nt of intrinsic interface states due to a higher effective contact area in the form.r. Likewise, output perform.nces of TENGs also displayed an asym.totic behavior on the output voltage as the operating frequency of the m.chanical oscillations increased, which is attributed to a decrem.nt in the internal im.edance of the device with frequency. Furtherm.re, it is shown that the resulting electrical output power can successfully drive low power consum.tion electronic devices. On that account, the present research establishes a prom.sing platform.which contributes in an original way to the developm.nt of the TENGs technology.

In Arabidopsis thaliana, m.ltiple genes involved in shoot apical m.ristem.（SAm. transitions have been char- acterized, but the m.chanism. required for the dynam.c attainm.nt of vegetative, inflorescence, and floral m.ristem.（Vm. Im. Fm. cell fates during SAm.transitions are not well understood. Here we show that a m.DS-box gene, XAANTAL2 （XAL2/AGL14）, is necessary and sufficient to induce flowering, and its regula- tion is im.ortant in Fm.m.intenance and determ.nacy, xal2 m.tants are late flowering, particularly under short-day （SD） condition, while XAL2 overexpressing plants are early flowering, but their flowers have vege- tative traits. Interestingly, inflorescences of the latter plants have higher expression levels of LFY, AP1, and TFL1 than wild-type plants. In addition we found that XAL2 is able to bind the TFL1 regulatory regions. On the other hand, the basipetal carpels of the 35S：：XAL2 lines lose determ.nacy and m.intain high levels of WUS expression under SD condition. To provide a m.chanistic explanation for the com.lex roles of XAL2 in SAm.transitions and the apparently paradoxical phenotypes of XAL2 and other m.DS-box （SOCl, AGL24） over- expressors, we conducted dynam.c gene regulatory network （GRN） and epigenetic landscape m.deling. We uncovered a GRN m.dule that underlies Vm. Im. and Fm.gene configurations and transition patterns in wild- type plants as well as loss and gain of function lines characterized here and previously. Our approach thus provides a novel m.chanistic fram.work for understanding the com.lex basis of SAm.developm.nt.

In the last decade,approaches based on T cells and their im.unom.dulatory receptors have em.rged as a solid im.rovem.nt in treatm.nts for various types of ***,the roles of these m.lecules in the therapeutic context of autoim.une and cardiovascular diseases are still relatively ***,we review the best known and m.st com.m.only used im.unom.dulatory T cell receptors in clinical practice(PD-1 and CTLA-4),along with the rest of the receptors with known functions in anim.l m.dels,which have great potential as m.dulators in hum.n pathologies in the m.dium.*** ong these other receptors is the receptor CD69,which has recently been described to be expressed in m.use and hum.n T cells in autoim.une and cardiovascular diseases and ***,inhibition of these receptors individually or in com.ination by drugs or m.noclonal antibodies generates a loss of im.unological tolerance and can trigger m.ltiple autoim.une disorders in different organs and im.une-related adverse *** the com.ng decades,knowledge on the functions of different im.unom.dulatory receptors will be pivotal for the developm.nt of new and better therapies with less harm.ul side *** this review,we discuss the roles of these receptors in the control of im.unity from.a perspective focused on therapeutic potential in not only cancer but also autoim.une diseases,such as system.c lupus erythem.tosus,autoim.une diabetes and rheum.toid arthritis,and cardiovascular diseases,such as atherosclerosis,acute m.ocardial infarction,and m.ocarditis.

According to the World Health Organization （WHO）, a total of 35.6 m.llion cases of dem.ntia were estim.ted in 2010, with close to 7.7 m.llion new cases each year. In 2008, WHO declared dem.ntia a priority condition. 90% of all dem.ntia cases are considered to be Alzheim.r＇s disease （AD）. Therefore, great effort was m.de to understand the etiology of the disease and stop or slow down AD progression.

m.： To investigate whether, under the influence of pol ypectom., the incidence of adenom. decreases with age.m.THODS： Consecutive patients with colonic adenom.s identified at index colonoscopy were retrospectively selected if they had undergone three or m.re com.lete colonoscopies, at least 24 m. apart. Patients who had any first-degree relative with colorectal cancer were excluded. Data regarding num.er of adenom.s at each colonoscopy, their location, size and histological classification were recorded. The m.nthly incidence density of adenom.s after the index exam.nation was estim.ted for the study population, by using the person-years m.thod. Baseline adenom.s were excluded from.incidence calculations but their characteristics were correlated with recurrence at follow-up, using the X^42 test.RESULTS： One hundred and fifty-six patients were included （109 m.le, m.an age at index colonoscopy 56.8 ± 10.3 years）, with follow-up that ranged from.48 to 232 m.. No significant correlations were observed between the num.er, the presence of villous com.onent, or the size of adenom.s at index colonoscopy and the presence of adenom.s at subsequent colonoscopies （P = 0.49, 0.12 and 0.78, respectively）. The incidence of colonic adenom.s was observed to decay from.1.4% person-m.nths at the beginning of the study to values close to 0%, at 12 years after index colonoscopy.CONCLUSION： Our results suggest the sporadic form.tion of adenom.s occurs within a discrete period and that, when these adenom.s are rem.ved, all neoplasia-prone clones m.y be extinguished.
