Among redundant arrays of independent disks(RAID)-6 codes, maximum distance separable(MDS)based RAID-6 codes are popular because they have the optimal storage efficiency. Although vertical MDS codes exhibit better load balancing compared to horizontal MDS codes in partial stripes, an I/O unbalancing problem still exists in some vertical codes. To address this issue, we propose a novel efficient data layout, uniform P-code(UPC), to support highly balanced I/Os among P-coded disk arrays(i.e., PC). In UPC, the nonuniformly distributed information symbols in each parity chain of P-code are moved along their columns to other rows, thus enabling the parity chain to keep original parity relationships and tolerate double disk failures. The UPC scheme not only achieves optimal storage efficiency, computational complexity, and update complexity, but also supports better I/O balancing in the context of large-scale storage systems. We also conduct a performance study on reconstruction algorithms using an analytical model. Besides extensive theoretical analysis, comparative performance experiments are conducted by replaying real-world workloads under various configurations. Experimental results illustrate that our UPC scheme significantly outperforms the PC scheme in terms of average user response time. In particular, in the case of a 12-disk array, the UPC scheme can improve the access performance of the RAID-6 storage system by29.9% compared to the PC scheme.

Sequential prefetching schemes are widely employed in storage servers to mask disk latency and improve system throughput. However, existing schemes cannot benefit parallel disk systems as expected due to the fact that they ignore the distinct internal characteristics of the parallel disk system, in particular, data striping. Moreover, their aggressive prefetching pattern suffers from premature evictions and prolonged request latencies. In this paper, we propose a strip-oriented asynchronous prefetching (SoAP) technique, which is dedicated to the parallel disk system. It settles the above-mentioned problems by providing multiple novel features, e.g., enhanced prediction accuracy, adaptive prefetching strength, physical data layout awareness, and timely prefetching. To validate SoAP, we implement a prototype by modifying the software redundant arrays of inexpensive disks (RAID) under Linux. Experimental results demonstrate that SoAP can consistently offer improved average response time and throughput to the parallel disk system under non-random workloads compared with STEP, SP, ASP, and Linux-like SEQPs.

全球数据量快速的增长使得NAS得以广泛应用,但是传统的NAS系统在设备发生故障时数据会丢失,难以满足现代存储对系统的高可用性和高可靠性的要求。本文提出了一种用于实现文件镜像功能的NAS系统框架结构,并且在VFS机制的基础之上,在Linux平台下,设计并实现了一种应用于这种结构的镜像文件系统(NASMFS)。它屏蔽了系统底层中各个NAS设备中文件系统的差别,给用户提供了一个安全、可靠的统一的存储目录空间,透明地完成文件镜像功能,在设备发生故障时能够从镜像的文件中恢复数据,从而在可用性、可靠性等方面弥补了传统NAS系统的不足,满足了应用的需要。

Developing tools for monitoring the correlations among thousands of financial data streams in an online fashion can be interesting and useful work. We aimed to find highly correlative financial data streams in local patterns. A novel distance metric function slope duration distance (SDD) is proposed, which is compatible with the characteristics of actual financial data streams. Moreover, a model monitoring correlations among local patterns (MCALP) is presented, which dramatically decreases the computational cost using an algorithm quickly online segmenting and pruning (QONSP) with O(1) time cost at each time tick t, and our proposed new grid structure. Experimental results showed that MCALP provides an improvement of several orders of magnitude in performance relative to traditional naive linear scan techniques and maintains high precision. Furthermore, the model is incremental, parallelizable, and has a quick response time.

Objective： Angiogenic therapy is emerging as a potential strategy for the treatment of ischemic heart disease but is limited by a relatively short half-life of growth factors. Fibrin glue （FG） provides a reservoir for controlledrelease of growth factors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of basic flbroblast growth factor （bFGF） incorporating FG on angiogenesis and cardiac performance in a canine infarct model. Methods： Acute myocardial infarction was induced by ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery （LAD）. Group Ⅰ （n=6） underwent ligation of LAD alone. In Group Ⅱ, transmural channels were created in the infarct area （n=6）. In Group Ⅲ, nontransmural channels were created to locate FG cylinders containing bFGF （n=6）. Eight weeks after operation, myocardial perfusion was assessed by single photon emission computed tomography, cardiac function by echocardi- ography, and vascular development by immunohistochemical staining. Results： Total vascular density and the number of large vessels （internal diameter ≥50 pro） were dramatically higher in Group Ⅲ than in Groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ at eight weeks. Only the controlled-release group exhibited an improvement in regional myocardial perfusion associated with lower defect score. Animals in Group Ⅲ presented improved cardiac regional systolic and diastolic functions as well as global systolic function in comparison with the other two groups. Conclusions： Enhanced and sustained angiogenic response can be achieved by controlled-release bFGF incorporating FG within transmyocardial laser channels, thus enabling improvement in myocardial perfusion and cardiac function.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 3.,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83.and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.
