Proactive reconciliation as a tool for integrating mining and milling operations

Historically, reconciliation has been viewed as a quality test of model estimates as well as a powerful tool for detecting and correcting problems in all stages of mine operations from resource estimation to metal production. If used correctly, reconciliation helps to better predict the life of mine(LOM), improves the adherence of production plans to the respective budget, and allows for effective control of the mining and milling processes. However, the accuracy of reconciliation results requires that all input data must be generated in accordance with the principles of sampling correctness. Furthermore, complete reconciliation systems can become extremely complex and must be carefully analyzed in order to provide realistic and helpful conclusions. Based on these concepts, this paper presents a successful proactive reconciliation system applied to a copper and gold mine in Brazil for monitoring and integrating mining and milling operations.

SARS-CoV-2 is the causal agent of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a single-stranded RNA beta-coronavirus that is comprised of a 5′ and 3′-untranslated region (UTR) in its non-coding RNA (ncRNA) region. The P-element-induced wimpy testis (PIWI)-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) are ncRNA sequences that bind to transposons and interfere with the translation of new genes. Here, we search for short sequences in the non-coding regions, corresponding to 28 nucleotides (nt). These start from a uracil and have a conserved region of at least 10 nt of homology with the previously reported piRNAs. The aim of this work was to identify piRNA-like sequences in the 3′-UTR of SARS-CoV-2 from the reported Wuhan Patient's genome sequence (GenBank: MN908947.3).

Piwi-interacting RNAs(piRNAs of 26-32 nt in length)regulate gene expression,epigenetics,and transcriptional and post-transcriptional processes.1 In humans,piRNAs are expressed in germline and somatic tissues,and generally have a uracil at the 5'-end(position+1),an adenine at the+10 position,and are 2'-0 methylated at the 3'-end.2 Onice piRNAs form the RNA-induced silencing complex(RISC)with PIWl proteins,they serve as guides to find their complementary sequences of the target mRNA,thus initiating their *** Wuhan patient's genome is approximately 265 nucleotides(nts)in its 3'-UTR;piRNAs-like sequences have been reported in this region.3 Our objective was to search,through bioinformatics,for mRNA sequences that were homologous to the reverse complementary of the previously reported piRNA-like sequences from the 3'-UTR of SARS-Cov-2,3 and identify the possible interaction between them.

Granite-gneiss rock outcrop inselbergs are ancient stable ecosystems with old,climaticallybuffered infertile landscapes(OCBILs).Although inselbergs provide key ecosystem services,little is done for their conservation and,so far,a lot of their unknown evolutionary history has already been lost by human *** a fine-scale approach,here we tested if habitat and environmental filtering(the inselberg’s harshness)affect the evolutionary diversity of an Atlantic Forest inselberg in *** recorded all trees with a diameter at breast height≥5cm in 20 plots in four habitat types(total sampled area of 0.8 hectares),from highest to lowest:island,hillside,foothill,and semideciduous forest(matrix).We also collected soil samples for chemical,textural and physical soil *** fitted linear models to test the effects of soil and habitat on plotlevel metrics of phylogenetic diversity and structure,lineage diversity,phylogeneticβ-diversity,and evolutionary *** found that the upper inselberg habitats contain a distinct set of ancient,closely related,harsh-tolerant lineages,as well as a subset of lineages that persist under harsh conditions with a certain degree of water *** inferior inselberg habitats harbor higher lineage diversity than expected by *** strongly predicted evolutionary *** concluded that soil depth,slope,nutrients and texture(environmental filtering)and habitat types and topography(habitat filtering)shape the evolutionary history contained in fine-scale inselberg habitats,which should encourage the conservation of these ancient ecosystems.

We use an age-dependent SIR system of equations to model the evolution of the *** that measure the amount of interaction in different locations(home,work,school,other)are approximated from in-sample data using a random optimization scheme,and indicate changes in social distancing along the course of the *** allows the estimation of the time evolution of classical and age-dependent reproduction *** those parameters we predict the disease dynamics,and compare our results with out-of-sample data from the City of Rio de ***,we provide a numerical investigation regarding age-based vaccination policies,shedding some light on whether is preferable to vaccinate those at most risk(the elderly)or those who spread the disease the most(the youngest).There is no clear upshot,as the results depend on the age of those immunized,contagious parameters,vaccination schedules and efficiency.

AIM To systematically review the incidence of ipsilateral graft re-rupture and contralateral anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) rupture following its reconstruction, with special attention to the femoral drilling technique. METHODS Systematic review and meta-analysis of high-level prospective studies searched in MEDLINE database following PRISMA statement. The rate of ipsilateral graft re-rupture and contralateral rupture in patients submitted to either transtibial(TT) technique(isometric) or anteromedial(AM) technique(anatomic) was compared. RESULTS Eleven studies met the criteria and were included in final analysis. Reconstructions using the AM technique had a similar chance of contralateral ACL rupture when compared to the chance of ipsilateral graft failure(OR = 1.08, P = 0.746). In reconstructions using TT technique, the chance of contralateral ACL rupture was approximately 1.5 times higher than ipsilateral graft failure(OR = 1.49, P = 0.048). Incidence of contralateral lesions were similar among the techniques TT(7.4%) and AM(7.0%)(P = 0.963), but a trend could be noticed with a lower incidence of lesion in the ipsilateral limb when using the TT technique(4.9%) compared to the AM technique(6.5%)(P = 0.081).CONCLUSION ACL reconstruction by TT technique leads to lower incidence of graft re-injury than contralateral ACL lesion. There is no difference between the chance of re-injury after AM technique and the chance of contralateral ACL lesion(native ligament) with either technique.

Irbesartan (IBS) is a tetrazole derivative and antihypertensive drug that has two interconvertible structures, 1H- and 2H-tautomers. The difference between them lies in the protonation of the tetrazole ring. In the solid-state, both tautomers can be isolated as crystal forms A (1H-tautomer) and B (2H-tautomer). Studies have reported that IBS is a polymorphic system and its forms A and B are related monotropically. These reports indicate form B as the most stable and less soluble form. Therefore, the goal of this contribution is to demonstrate through a complete solid-state characterization, thermodynamic study and dissolution properties that the IBS forms are desmotropes that are not related monotropically. However, the intention is also to call attention to the importance of conducting strict chemical and in solid-state quality controls on the IBS raw materials. Hence, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and Raman spectroscopy (RS) at ambient and non-ambient conditions, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), hot stage microscopy (HSM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques were applied. Furthermore, intrinsic dissolution rate (IDR) and structural stability studies at 98% relative humidity (RH), 25℃ and 40 ℃ were conducted as well. The results show that in fact, form A is approximately four-fold more soluble than form B. In addition, both IBS forms are stable at ambient conditions. Nevertheless, structural and/or chemical instability was observed in form B at 40℃ and 98% RH. IBS has been confirmed as a desmotropic system rather than a polymorphic one. Consequently, forms A and B are not related monotropically.

Antibacterial extract-coated catheters are promising alternatives to their conventional counterparts,but their hemocompatibility and thermal stability must be *** bacteria have developed resistance to conventional ***,the minimum inhibitory but non-hemolytic concentration(MIC-NH)and the thermal stability of Larrea tridentata(***)and Origanum vulgare(***)extract-coated catheters were ***,plasma pretreatment was performed to enhance the extract ***,the extract-coated catheters prevent Staphylococcus aureus colonization without causing hemolysis by using *** and *** extracts at MIC-NH(5000 and 2500μg ml~(-1),respectively).Moreover,it has been discovered that the extract coating and plasma treatment improved the thermal stability and the extract adhesion,***,this study provides evidence of alternative antibacterial but non-hemolytic extract-coated catheters.

During the operation of complex process, such as oil production or refming, abnormal situations may occur, leading to an alarm flooding. Alarm flooding is the signalling of a large number of alarms in a few minutes, in such a way that it is impossible for the operator to attend to all alarms. On these occasions, it is usual that the operator leaves the alarm summary list and gets an analysis of the plant through the screens of the DCS （digital control system）, seeking to understand the situation. The alarm summary list ceases to be a useful tool. In such cases, the operator might have the aid of a filter that would present the highest priority alarms and other information associated with them, enabling him to gain a better knowledge of the situation. This paper describes the interface of a system aimed to help the operator to have a more comprehensive knowledge of the process （a better situational awareness） during process upsets that cause alarm flooding, recovering the utility of the alarm layer to the safety of industrial processes.
