As the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic rages globally,its impact has been felt in the stock markets around the *** the gloomy economic outlook,certain sectors seem to have survived better than *** paper aims to investigate the sectors that have performed better even as market sentiment is affected by the *** daily closing stock prices of a total usable sample of 1,567 firms from 37 sectors are first an a lyzed using a combination of hierarchical clustering and shape-based distance(SBD)*** sentiment is modeled from Google trends on the COVID-19 *** is then analyzed against the time series of daily closing stock prices using augmented vector autoregression(VAR).The empirical results indicate that market sentiment towards the pandemic has significant effects on the stock prices of the ***,the stock price performance across sectors is differentiated by the level of the digital transformation of sectors,with those that are most digitally transformed,showing resili ence towards negative market sentime nt on the *** study contributes to the existing literature by incorporating search trends to an a lyze market sentiment,and by showing that digital transformation moderated the stock market resilience of firms against concern over the COVID-19 outbreak.

The recent and exciting discovery of germline HOXB13 mutations in familial prostate cancer has brought HOX signaling to the forefront of prostate cancer *** enhanced understanding of HOX signaling,and the co-factors regulating HOX protein specificity and transcriptional regulation,has the high potential to elucidate novel approaches to prevent,diagnose,stage,and treat prostate *** our understanding of HOX biology in prostate development and prostate cancer,basic research in developmental model systems as well as other tumor sites provides a mechanistic framework to inform future studies in prostate *** we describe our current understanding of HOX signaling in genitourinary development and cancer,current clinical data of HOXB13 mutations in multiple cancers including prostate cancer,and the role of HOX protein co-factors in development and *** data highlight numerous gaps in our understanding of HOX function in the prostate,and present numerous potentially impactful mechanistic and clinical opportunities for future investigation.

Background:This study addressed the potential of combining a high biomass rye winter cover crop with predawn leaf water potential(ΨPD)irrigation thresholds to increase agricultural water use efficiency(WUE)in *** this end,a study was conducted near Tifton,Georgia under a manually-controlled,variable-rate lateral irrigation system using a Scholander pressure chamber approach to measure leaf water potential and impose varying irrigation scheduling treatments during the growing season.ΨPDthresholds were-0.4 MPa(T1),-0.5 MPa(T2),and-0.7 MPa(T3).A winter rye cover crop or conventional tillage were utilized for T1-T3 as ***:Reductions in irrigation of up to 10%were noted in this study for the driest threshold(-0.7 MPa)with no reduction in lint yield relative to the-0.4 MPa and-0.5 MPa *** conditions during flowering(2014)limited plant growth and node production,hastened cutout,and decreased yield and WUE relative to ***:We conclude thatΨPDirrigation thresholds between-0.5 MPa and-0.7 MPa appear to be viable for use in aΨPDscheduling system with adequate yield and WUE for cotton production in the southeastern *** cover positively impacted water potential at certain points throughout the growing season but not yield or WUE indicating the potential for rye cover crops to improve water use efficiency should be tested under longer-term production scenarios.

The recent advent of robust methods to grow human tissues as 3D organoids allows us to recapitulate the 3D architecture of tumors in an in vitro setting and offers a new orthogonal approach for drug ***,organoid culturing with extracellular matrix to support 3D architecture has been challenging for high-throughput screening(HTS)-based drug discovery due to technical *** genetically engineered human colon organoids as a model system,here we report our effort to miniaturize such 3D organoid culture with extracellular matrix support in high-density plates to enable *** first established organoid culturing in a 384-well plate format and validated its application in a cell viability HTS assay by screening a 2036-compound *** further miniaturized the 3D organoid culturing in a 1536-well ultra-HTS format and demonstrated its robust performance for large-scale primary compound *** miniaturized organoid culturing method may be adapted to other types of *** leveraging the power of 3D organoid culture in a high-density plate format,we provide a physiologically relevant screening platform to model tumors to accelerate organoid-based research and drug discovery.

Although hepatitis B virus(HBV)reactivation has been reported in hepatitis C patients who received interferon therapy,rare cases of HBV reactivation occur in the context of direct-acting antiviral(DAA)agent therapy for treatment of hepatitis C virus(HCV)*** studies observed that the reactivations were predominantly in hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)positive patients,but reactivation can rarely occur in patients who are HBsAg negative and hepatitis B core antibody(HBcAb)*** severity of an HBV flare *** some cases,severe liver injury or fulminant hepatic failure may *** reactivation may occur regardless of HCV genotype and type of DAA *** onset of HBV reactivation can range from 4 to 48 weeks after initiating DAA *** patients may have undetectable levels of HBV deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)prior to DAA ***-emptive antiviral therapy for HBV should be considered in HBsAg-positive patients with high levels of viremia who are not receiving HBV *** HBV DNA viral load is less than the guideline criteria for HBV treatment,one should consider pre-emptive HBV antiviral versus HBV DNA monitoring during DAA *** patients who are HBsAg negative but HBcAb positive,close monitoring of serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels during/post-treatment is highly *** current review summarizes the recommendations of different society guidelines and discusses the appropriate management strategies in various patient profiles.

High frequency financial data is characterized by non-normality: asymmetric, leptokurtic and fat-tailed behaviour. The normal distribution is therefore inadequate in capturing these characteristics. To this end, various flexible distributions have been proposed. It is well known that mixture distributions produce flexible models with good statistical and probabilistic properties. In this work, a finite mixture of two special cases of Generalized Inverse Gaussian distribution has been constructed. Using this finite mixture as a mixing distribution to the Normal Variance Mean Mixture we get a Normal Weighted Inverse Gaussian (NWIG) distribution. The second objective, therefore, is to construct and obtain properties of the NWIG distribution. The maximum likelihood parameter estimates of the proposed model are estimated via EM algorithm and three data sets are used for application. The result shows that the proposed model is flexible and fits the data well.

将遗传算法和变密度地下水流及溶质运移模拟程序SEAWAT耦合起来,开发了一个新的用于地下水模拟优化管理的通用程序——SWTGA。以求解变密度条件下地下水优化管理问题,从而为地下水管理决策者提供科学依据和技术支持。设计SWTGA时,建立了适用于变密度条件下地下水优化管理常见问题的目标函数的一般形式,同时设定了常用的约束条件。最后将SWTGA程序应用于一个理想滨海含水层中地下水开采方案的优化设计,寻优之后获得了最佳开采方案,与未优化开采方案的对比显示优化结果合理可行,验证了SWTGA模拟优化程序的有效性和可靠性。
