The flexibility of molecular catalysts is highly coveted for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) to carbon monoxide(CO) in both homogeneous and heterogeneous *** the electrocatalytic activity of molecular catalysts has been widely studied in H-cells;their less studied capabilities in more efficient flow cell reactors have the potential to rival that of heterogeneous *** this work,a comparative study of amino functionalized iron-tetraphenylporphyrins(amino-Fe-TPPs) immobilized onto carbonaceous materials in both H-cells and flow cells was conducted to selectively reduce CO_(2) to *** a flow cell set up operating in alkaline media,the resulting hybrid catalyst exhibits 87% faradaic efficiency(FE) with extraordinary current density(j) of 119 mA/cm^(2) and turnover frequency(TOF) of 14 s^(-1) at-1.0 V *** remarkable catalytic activity was achieved through thoughtful combination of molecular and flow cell design that provides an effective strategy for future immobilized heterogeneous approaches toward CO_(2) reduction reactions(CO_(2) RRs).

Antifouling liquid-infused surfaces have generated interest in multiple fields due to their diverse applications in industry and *** nearly all reports to date,the liquid component consists of only one chemical ***,unlike traditional solid surfaces,the unique nature of liquid surfaces holds the potential for synergistic and even adaptive functionality simply by including additional elements in the liquid *** this work,we explore the concept of multi-component liquid-infused systems,in which the coating liquid consists of a primary liquid and a secondary component or components that provide additional *** ease of understanding,we categorize recently reported multi-component liquid-infused surfaces according to the size of the secondary components:molecular scale,in which the secondary components are molecules;nanoscale,in which they are nanoparticles or their equivalent;and microscale,in which the additional components are micrometer size or *** present examples at each scale,showing how introducing a secondary element into the liquid can result in synergistic effects,such as maintaining a pristine surface while actively modifying the surrounding environment,which are difficult to achieve in other surface *** review highlights the diversity of fabrication methods and provides perspectives on future research *** secondary components into the liquid matrix of liquid-infused surfaces is a promising strategy with significant potential to create a new class of multifunctional materials.

Background Colorectal cancer in children is rare,but characterized by late presentation,unfavorable histology and poor *** factors for colorectal cancer in children overlap with those for adults with greater influence of hereditary *** epidemiology of colon cancer in children is poorly understood;the aim of this study was to characterize and compare the demographics and relevant clinical characteristics of pediatric and adult colon cancer,using a national inpatient *** The AHRQ online resource HCUPnet/KID database was queried for children,under the age of 18 admitted with ICD 9 CM diagnoses relating to colorectal cancer,at the time of *** comparison,the corresponding diagnoses in adult patients were queried for each successive *** demographics including residential type and median income by zip-code,tumor localization;if recorded,and mean hospital charges were all accrued and *** Inpatient admissions for pediatric colorectal cancer were more likely male (54%),in the 15-17 years age bracket (57%).They were significantly more likely from Southwestern regions of the Unites States,and were significantly more likely from residential zip-codes identified as at or below the lowest income quartile than adult CRC patients or pediatric patients as a *** charges have more than quadrupled over the time period studied (1997-2012).Conclusions Pediatric colorectal cancer is the most common primary gastrointestinal malignancy in *** understanding associated risk factors including those associated with gender,geographic region and social economic status may contribute to future prevention or early detection strategies.

Traumatic brain injury(TBI) is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide,with estimates indicating that -50% of the world's population will acquire a head injury at some point in their lifetime(Maas et al.,2017).Mild TBIs account for -80% of all reported cases,with up to 43% of all TBI patients reporting symptoms beyond 2 weeks *** of 2016,only 7% of preclinical TBI experiments included both male and female sexes,and fewer studies analyzed the data using sex as a biological variable(Spani et al.,2018).

As China works to move away from coal in its energy system as a critical strategy to achieve carbon neutrality before 2060,there are several challenges which will affect the coal *** challenge that has not been fully explored is the impact on coal *** are millions of people employed in various sectors along the coal supply chain,including mining,processing,transport,and power *** this study,we developed a framework to understand the magnitude and characteristics of the employment challenges associated with the coal transition across ***,the magnitude and characteristics of the challenges are evaluated from multiple dimensions,including existing coal sector employment,coal production,coal consumption,GDP contribution from the coal industry,and coal mining productivity,to explore how the transition of the coal industry will likely affect different *** results showed that provinces with large total coal employment today are often those with high coal production and consumption,high GDP contribution from the coal industry,and low productivity of coal *** found that employment impacts of a coal transition will not be equally distributed in China,as both the magnitude and characteristics of the employment challenges vary substantially across all *** is therefore important to develop a tailored strategy to tackle specific needs for each province.

In the age of global initiatives citing the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation,countries that fail to embrace the potential of its female entrepreneurs are poised to lose out on the realisation of ideas,opportunities for trade and export and the creation of job *** purpose of this study is to examine the challenges experienced by female entrepreneurs in China and Australia,with a goal of discovering specific cultural based differences in their *** matter to the economic prosperity of a country,but underlying bias in the environments of different regions may play a role in constraining their *** is necessary to compare the experiences of female entrepreneurs in multiple environments to assess the extent that different socio-economic conditions have,and China and Australia with their dissimilar climates provide a relevant base for this comparison.A qualitative methodology conducted through interviews is used in this research to allow for a deeper understanding of human choices,emotions and *** human factors are incremental in understanding the potential cultural sways that are inherent to answering the research questions of this *** results show that female entrepreneurs in China and Australia face some unique challenges that are the results of certain cultural and traditional *** general,results show that gender is not a factor in terms of access to resources and favourable institutional environments,however certain country-level measures could be introduced to help bolster entrepreneurship in *** thesis seeks to contribute to existing literature on female entrepreneurship by giving an in-depth view of the personal experiences of a select group of female *** also seeks to contribute towards the creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem that helps to foster the growth of female entrepreneurship through providing a suggestion as to the type of environment necessary to enc
