This review provides a recompilation of the most important and recent strategies employed to increase the efficiency of metal-organic framework(MOF)-based systems toward the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution(PHE)reaction through specific strategies:tailoring the photocatalytic activity of bare MOFs and guest@MOF composites,formation of heterojunctions based on MOFs and various photocatalysts,and inorganic photocatalysts derived from *** to the data reported in this mini-review,the most effective strategy to improve the PHE of MOFs relies on modifying the linkers with new secondary building units(SBUs).Although several reviews have investigated the photocatalytic activity of MOFs from a general point of view,many of these studies relate this activity to the physicochemical and catalytic properties of ***,they did not consider the interactions between the components of the photocatalytic *** study highlights the effects of strength of the supramolecular interactions on the photocatalytic performance of bare and MOF-based materials during PHE.A thorough review and comparison of the results established that metal-nanoparticle@MOF composites have weak van der Waals forces between components,whereas heterostructures only interact with MOFs at the surface of bare *** material derivatives from MOFs,we found that pyrolysis destroyed some beneficial properties of MOFs for ***,we conclude that adding SBUs to organic linkers is the most efficient strategy to perform the PHE because the SBUs added to the MOFs promote synergy between the two materials through strong coordination bonds.

Objective:To investigate the antiproliferative,anti-angiogenic,and apoptotic effects of extracts of Achillea biebersteinii(ABE)and combined treatments of ABE with 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)on HT-29 ***:The effects of ABE,5-FU,and combined treatments on the viability of HT-29 cells were determined by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide *** analysis was used to determine synergism between ABE and *** apoptotic and anti-angiogenic effects were determined by cell death detection and human vascular endothelial growth factor ELISA method,*** and translational expressions of p53,Bax,Bcl-2,p38 MAPK,Akt,PTEN,and m TOR were also evaluated by real-time PCR and Western blotting ***:ABE decreased the viability of HT-29 cells in a dosedependent *** treatment of hexane,chloroform,and methanol extracts of Achillea biebersteinii with 5-FU at IC50 doses decreased the cell viability to 26.0%,19.1%,and 14.9%,respectively(Pcantly downregulated m TOR,Akt,Bcl-2 expression,upregulated p53,Bax,PTEN,p38 MAPK expression,and exhibited anti-angiogenetic ***:Our findings indicate that ABE shows synergism with 5-FU and inhibits the proliferation of HT-29 cells by inducing apoptosis and suppressing angiogenesis,which may provide biological evidence for further use of ABE in the treatment of colorectal cancer.

The rapid development of optical frequency combs from their table-top origins towards chip-scale platforms has opened up exciting possibilities for comb functionalities outside *** nonlinear processes in microresonators have emerged as a mainstream comb-generating mechanism with compelling advantages in size,weight,and power *** established understanding of gain and loss in nonlinear microresonators,along with recently developed ultralow-loss nonlinear photonic circuitry,has boosted the optical energy conversion efficiency of microresonator frequency comb(microcomb)devices from below a few percent to above 50%.This review summarizes the latest advances in novel photonic devices and pumping strategies that contribute to these milestones of microcomb *** resulting benefits for high-performance integration of comb applications are also discussed before summarizing the remaining challenges.

Various methods and specialized software programs are available for processing two- dimensional gel electrophoresis （2-DGE） images. However, due to the anomalies present in these images, a reliable, automated, and highly reproducible system for 2-DGE image analysis has still not been achieved. The most common anomalies found in 2-DGE images include vertical and hor- izontal streaking, fuzzy spots, and background noise, which greatly complicate computational anal- ysis. In this paper, we review the preprocessing techniques applied to 2-DGE images for noise reduction, intensity normalization, and background correction. We also present a quantitative comparison of non-linear filtering techniques applied to synthetic gel images, through analyzing the performance of the filters under specific conditions. Synthetic proteins were modeled into a two-dimensional Gaussian distribution with adjustable parameters for changing the size, intensity, and degradation. Three types of noise were added to the images： Gaussian, Rayleigh, and exponen- tial, with signal-to-noise ratios （SNRs） ranging 8-20 decibels （dB）. We compared the performanceof wavelet, contourlet, total variation （TV）, and wavelet-total variation （WTTV） techniques using parameters SNR and spot efficiency. In terms of spot efficiency, contourlet and TV were more sen- sitive to noise than wavelet and WTTV. Wavelet worked the best for images with SNR ranging 10- 20 dB, whereas WTTV performed better with high noise levels. Wavelet also presented the best per- formance with any level of Gaussian noise and low levels （20-14 dB） of Rayleigh and exponential noise in terms of SNR. Finally, the performance of the non-linear filtering techniques was evaluated using a real 2-DGE image with previously identified proteins marked. Wavelet achieved the best detection rate for the real image.

The visions of Industry 4.0 and 5.0 have reinforced the industrial *** have also made artificial intelligence incorporated as a major *** machine faults has become a solid foundation for automatically recognizing machine failure,and thus timely maintenance can ensure safe *** learning is a promising solution that can enhance the machine fault diagnosis model by borrowing pre-trained knowledge from the source model and applying it to the target model,which typically involves two *** response to the availability of multiple datasets,this paper proposes using selective and adaptive incremental transfer learning(SA-ITL),which fuses three algorithms,namely,the hybrid selective algorithm,the transferability enhancement algorithm,and the incremental transfer learning *** is a selective algorithm that enables selecting and ordering appropriate datasets for transfer learning and selecting useful knowledge to avoid negative *** algorithm also adaptively adjusts the portion of training data to balance the learning rate and training *** proposed algorithm is evaluated and analyzed using ten benchmark *** with other algorithms from existing works,SA-ITL improves the accuracy of all *** studies present the accuracy enhancements of the SA-ITL,including the hybrid selective algorithm(1.22%-3.82%),transferability enhancement algorithm(1.91%-4.15%),and incremental transfer learning algorithm(0.605%-2.68%).These also show the benefits of enhancing the target model with heterogeneous image datasets that widen the range of domain selection between source and target domains.

Over the past few years,the development of nonfullerene acceptors(NFAs)has become a prominent focus in both organic and perovskite solar cell(OSCs and PSCs,respectively)research *** this context,porphyrinoids,compounds structurally related to porphyrins,have emerged as promising solar cell *** contrast to the widely used fullerene acceptors,porphyrinoids exhibit strong,broad absorption properties across the UV–vis/NIR spectrum,which can be easily tuned through chemical ***,they can be prepared and derivatized using cost-effective and straightforward methodologies,allowing for convenient adjustments in thin-film morphology,processability,supramolecular organization,and energy ***,these compounds offer higher thermal and photochemical stability,resulting in longer device lifetimes compared to their fullerene-based *** this review,we outline the utilization of porphyrinoids as NFAs in OSCs and PSCs,discussing essential aspects such as design guidelines,molecular properties,and device *** goal is to inspire and further promote the development of n-type porphyrinoids,which have not yet fully unleashed their potential.
