Investigation of modification design of the fan stage in axial compressor

The S2 flow path design method of the transonic compressor is used to design the one stage fan in order to replace the original designed blade cascade which has two-stage transonic fan *** the modification design,the camber line is parameterized by a quartic polynomial curve and the thickness distribution of the blade profile is controlled by the double-thrice ***,the inlet flow has been pre-compressed and the location and intensity of the shock wave at supersonic area have been controlled in order to let the new blade profiles have better aerodynamic *** computational results show that the new single stage fan rotor increases the efficiency by two percent at the design condition and the total pressure ratio is slightly higher than that of the original *** the same time,it also meets the mass flow rate and the geometrical size requirements for the modification design.

This article reports a theoretical calculation of solubility product constant of several slightly soluble silver salts in a number of nonaqueous solvents according to the IAF (interaction force) theory based on the interaction free energy of electrostatic, orientation, induction and dispersion. The calculated values of pKsp are in good accordance with those from literature.

FEM is used to analyze the influence of interface friction on the material flow and the cause of forming defect in the cold upsetting of tube flange. Based on the FEM simulation results, the relationships between flange width and the extreme friction factors are established. The concept of forming limit diagram for cold upsetting of tube flange is presented.

A commercial lanthanum oxide was modified into X%-La2O3 samples via partial dissolution and regrowth of crystallites, wherein the X value denotes the weight percent of the initial metal oxide powder dissolved by nitric acid. BET measurements and TEM observations indicate that the 20%-La2O3 sample has an increased specific surface area, relatively thin and small crystallites in size. TPD/TPR profiles also show that the 20%-La2O3 sample has more surface active oxygen than the 0%-La2O3 sample. Among the four X%-La2O3 samples, the highest activity for methane oxidation was obtained over the 20%-La2O3 sample. Therefore, the present work proves that the method of partial dissolution and regrowth of crystallites are effective to modify surface property of lanthanum oxide.

The paper studied the relationship between microstructure and shape recovery characteristics by using colored microstructure analysis under polarized light on the thermomechanical cycled CuAlNi single crystals. The two-way shape memory effect in quenched thin bar resulted from the preferential formation/extinction of martensite variant due to the internal quench stress, and the variant was formed at an angle of about 45 deg. with the tension direction ([001] of the βphase). Initial thermomechanical cycling under relatively low stress single variant stress-induced martensite was formed at an angle of 45 deg. with the tension and its morphology was a lath of parallel twins. More than one group of variants were formed after several training cycles and such variants also caused tilting of some thermally formed accommodated martensite. By overheating the trained sample containing stabilized multi-variants of stress-induced martensite, very coarse martensite structure with a strong asymmetry was produced, which caused the reverse two-way shape memory effect.

In traditional data clustering, similarity of a cluster of objects is measured by distance between objects. Such measures are not appropriate for categorical data. A new clustering criterion to determine the similarity between points with categorical attributes is pre- sented. Furthermore, a new clustering algorithm for categorical attributes is addressed. A single scan of the dataset yields a good clus- tering, and more additional passes can be used to improve the quality further.
