Antimalarial activity of a novel series of artemisinin-derived 1, 2, 3-triazole dimers

Objective: To obtain suitable artimisinin-based drug candidates with high antimalarial ***: Three different reaction schemes were used to synthesize a total of 15 artemisininbased *** first synthetic scheme involved the synthesis of diazido aliphatic and aromatic compounds from commercially available dihalides and azido derivatives of *** second scheme consisted of the reaction of dibromoaliphatic compounds with sodium azide in dimethylformamide which yielded the desired ***-based compounds on treatment with sodium azide and bromotrimethylsilane in dichloromethane produced the most potent compound *** potent compound GB-1 was synthesized from artemisinin by treatment with alcohols in the presence of Aberlyst-15 in anhydrous *** third scheme involved the Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between the synthesized aliphatic and aromatic diazides and two alkyne derivatives of artemisinin to obtain the desired artemisinin dimers with average ***: The best in vitro antiplasmodial activity was shown by the compound GB-2 registering IC_(50) value 0.066 μg/mL against chloroquine-sensitive and 0.865 μg/mL against chloroquineresistant strains of Plasmodium *** suppressed 59.0% parasitaemia in vivo of rodent malaria parasite Plasmodium berghei in Swiss albino model at 50 μg/kg body weight *** docking interactions of Plasmodium falciparum ATP6(PfATP6) protein revealed strong bonding of GB-2 with Thr255 residue which is likely to be the reason for excellent antimalarial activity of this ***: Two compounds GB-1 and GB-2 exhibited excellent in vitro antiplasmodial activity and fair in vivo antimalarial *** the two, GB-2 showed better activity which could be attributed to its strong bonding interactions with Thr255 as evidenced from the molecular docking *** helped in identifying artemisinin analogues possessing good antimalarial properties a

咖啡因是一种常见于咖啡、茶叶和可可等植物中的天然活性成分,作为功能添加成分已在国际食品领域广泛应用多年,适量摄入有助于健康人群提高注意力,促进运动能力,缓解疲劳。国内外相关食品安全监管机构一致认为,咖啡因虽在日常饮食中的摄入是安全的,但需关注个体差异、摄入量以及频率。许多国家和地区已对咖啡因在食品中的应用制定了严格的应用限量和标识规定。为进一步提升大众对咖啡因的科学认知,消除对咖啡因的偏见,推动咖啡因在相关食品产业的合理应用,中国食品科学技术学会组织食品科学、公共卫生、食品安全与食品营养等领域专家与相关产业界代表,通过现场咨询、文献检索、专题研讨等形式和方法,经广泛讨论形成咖啡因的科学共识,以推动咖啡因在我国的规范使用。

Molecularly engineered lignin to polyphenol via organocatalysis as an active sunscreen ingredient

Phenolation is one of the effective strategies to synthesize lignin-based polyphenols,improve lignin’s properties,and extend its value-added applications in biological,medicinal and cosmetic ***,by taking the structural feature advantage of lignin,an effective and green strategy was developed to molecularly engineer lignin into a robust lignin-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)propionate ester(LPPE)derivative via a transesterification reaction between 3,4-dihydrocoumarin(DHC)and the aliphatic hydroxyls in lignin under *** strategy is optimized and the novel derivative was systematically characterized by ^(1)H,^(13)C and ^(31)P nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)*** findings indicated that the successful introduction of 3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)propionate groups using a OH groups/DHC/organic base mo-lar ratio of 1꞉1꞉0.3 at 120℃ for 6 h increased the content of phenolic hydroxyl groups from 1.7931 to 3.0179 mmol/g,and the LPPE exhibited excellent ultraviolet-absorbing and antioxidant per-formance with up to 90%free radical scavenging activity within 20 min using 5 mg/mL of *** addition,good biocompatibility and a high Sun protection factor(SPF)value of 40.9 were achieved at 5%(w)dosage of LPPE in the cream,indicating its significant application potential in sunscreen.

羟基-β-甲基丁酸钙(CaHMB)作为新食品原料,已在国内外多个国家获批,允许在特殊医学用途配方食品中使用,然而我国在该原料获批后十余年间尚未有相关特殊医学用途配方食品上市。相关行业、监管部门和消费者对应用CaHMB的健康作用、安全性、使用剂量等方面的认知尚有待形成共识。为进一步推动CaHMB应用,服务人群营养健康需求,本文通过文献分析与专题研讨形式,在综合分析国内外有关CaHMB研究与应用现状的基础上,结合科技界与产业界有关专家意见,形成关于应用CaHMB的科学共识,即:1)通过新食品原料CaHMB(HMB的钙盐形式)补充HMB,是促进肌肉蛋白合成和减缓肌肉蛋白分解的一个重要途径;2)补充CaHMB有利于纠正负氮平衡,有利于老年人群、多类患病人群(如肌肉衰减综合征、肿瘤等)的肌肉健康;3)CaHMB的安全性被广泛认可,适当提高其每日最大食用限量,将更好地助力目标人群健康获益和产业应用发展。建议:从政策层面积极引导和适当提高CaHMB每日食用限量,以满足人群营养健康需求;进一步加强对Ca HMB的科研创新,为更好地应用CaHMB以及相关政策制定提供科技支撑;推动CaHMB在食品产业,尤其在特殊医学用途配方食品中的应用,促进相关产业高质量发展。

A Decision Support Model and Procedure for Selecting Interrelated R&D Projects

A decision support model with stochastic multiobjective functions and constraints and its solution procedure are presented for selecting R&D projects, in which the uncertainty of project evaluation and selection, the interactions of technique, resource and benefit among projects, and the experience, knowledge and preference of R&D managers are considered. The statistical results of stochastic factors representing the benefit contributions and the three kinds of interactions corresponding to each objective among projects are obtained by the Delphi method and QS/NI decision process for developing the model. In the decision analysis solution procedure, experiences and preferences of R&D managers to make decisions are considered by means of aspiration goal levels(AGL), probabilities to reach AGL called satisfied degrees, and probabilities to satisfy the corresponding constraints called feasible degrees, under which a project selection plan can be proposed by the decision analyst or computer. The utility of this model and solution procedure are demonstrated by a real world case example in R&D program of strength and vibration of aircraft turbine engines. which involves 23 project candidates. The evalutions of benefit contributions and interactions of projects are made by 41 experts in the field.

Multiobjective Decision Making: the Combined Approach

In this paper, a new approach for generating all or partly efficient solutions called the Combined Approach is developed. The property of efficient solutions generated by the combined approach and its relationships with other four approaches: weighting approach, sequential approach, ε-constraint approach and hybrid approach, are discussed. Based on this combined approach, a decision-making support method called the Combined Decision-Making Method (CDMM) for multiobjective problems is developed, which is an interactive process with the decision maker. Only the aspiration levels, which reflect the decision maker's satisfying degrees for corresponding objectives, are needed to be supplied by the decision maker step by step as he will. This interactive way for objectives can easily be accepted. Finally, the application of the proposed decision making method in the resource allocation problem is discussed, and an example for the production decision analysis of the solar energy cells given.

Robust integral sliding mode control for uncertain systems with multiple time delays

This paper proposes a robust integral sliding mode (RISM) manifold and the corresponding stabilization control law for uncertain systems with multiple time-varying time delays based on the techniques of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). The sufficient condition for the existence of the RISM manifold is given in terms of LMI, and then, the sliding mode control (SMC) law that can keep the system state on the RISM manifold from the initial time moment is developed. The efficiency and feasibility of the results are illustrated by a numerical example.

A new method ,which is called image manipulation, is introduced to analyze the cavitation of flow field for the first time. As the complexity of the cavitation development must be considering, only the method of image manipulation can calculate the strength of the cavitation more accurately. This method based on wavelet transform is used to eliminate the noise. The area of the cavitations is deduced to serve as the strength of cavitation. The method is applied in an example of inducer's rotating cavitation. The results show that using image manipulation can get the accurate date of cavitation with ease,and the reason of the inducer shaft's vibration is uncovered clearly.

STRUCTURAL REARRANGEMENT AND PROPERTIES OF QUENCHED TITANATE GLASSES REHEATED AT T_g

The structural rearrangement of quenched titanate glasses reheated at T-g was investigated by ESR and IR spectroscopies. Front the ESR observations it is suggested that the structure was readjusted and became more compact after the heat-treatment. A removal of residual vacancies is related to the diffusion of oxygen ions. The combination of more oxygen with titanium ions to form titanium-oxygen polyhedra and the transformation of boron-oxygen groups are confirmed front IR spectra. Some physical properties are improved after heating.

The demand for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is driven largely by their use in electric vehicles,which is projected to increase dramatically in the *** great success,however,urgently calls for the efficient recycling of LIBs at the end of their ***,we describe a froth flotation-based process to recycle graphite—the predominant active material for the negative electrode—from spent LIBs and investigate its reuse in newly assembled *** has been found that the structure and morphology of the recycled graphite are essentially unchanged compared to pristine commercial anode-grade graphite,and despite some minor impurities from the recycling process,the recycled graphite provides a remarkable reversible specific capacity of more than 350 mAh g^(−1).Even more importantly,newly assembled graphite‖NMC532 cells show excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 80%after 1000 cycles,that is,comparable to the performance of reference full cells comprising pristine commercial graphite.
