A simple model for estimating the rate constant between CO2-CO gas and molten slag containing iron oxides was developed using optical basicity only. In this model, the temperature dependence of the rate constant can be described by the Arrhenius law, and the activation energy can be expressed with a linear function of the slag＇s optical basicity. The model was applied to some molten slag systems, such as FeO, FeO-CaO, FeO-SiO2, FeO-Na2O, FeO-CaO-SiO2, FeO-SiO2-P2O5, FeO-SiOE-Na2O, and FeO-CaO-SiOE-P2O5. A comparison between the predicted results and measured data showed that the model worked well.

The long-period stacking ordered phases(LPSOs) in Mg-Ni-Y system have been attracting great interest as effective strengthening components because of their unique structural characteristics and deformation ***,the phase relationships in LPSOs are complicated and unclear,which restricts the design of advanced magnesium-based *** aim of the present work is to experimentally determine the phase equilibria relationships focusing on LPSOs and establish the thermodynamic description for Mg-Ni-Y *** types of LPSOs,that is,14H,12R,18R and 10H,are confirmed through equilibrated alloys and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM).The formation enthalpies of LPSOs(14H,12R,18R and 10H) are calculated based on density functional theories(DFT) calculations.A new ternary compound,termed as τ phase,is observed for the first time which is likely to be the distorted structure of 12R as determined from the TEM image which shows a 12-layer closed packing plane distance of 3.252nm and a shear angle of 83.2°between(0002) and(10■0) *** on the determined phase equilibria relationship,the Mg-Ni-Y system is assessed and a selfconsistent description is obtained where the LPSOs are modeled as the stoichiometric *** comparison between the calculation result and experimental data suggests the accuracy of the present thermodynamic database in the Mg-rich corner.

The effect of three heat processes with different calcium contents on the evolution of inclusions during the ladle furnace refining process of AISI 321 stainless steel was *** size,morphology,and composition of the inclusions were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray *** the addition of aluminum and titanium,the primary oxide in the AISI 321 stainless steel was an AbOs—MgO—TiOx complex oxide,in which the mass ratio of AbOs/MgO was highly consistent with spinel(MgO・AbO3).After calcium treatment,the calcium content in the oxide increased *** calculations show that when the Ti content was 0.2wt%,the Al and Ca contents were less than 0.10wt%and 0.0005wt%,respectively,which was beneficial for the formation of liquid inclusions in molten ***,the modification mechanism of calcium on TiN-wrapped oxides in combination with temperature changes was discussed.

The environmental magnetic proxies of stalagmites hold significant potential for reconstructing regional hydroclimate changes by revealing the content and grain size of magnetic particles within stalagmites. In this study， we present the contents and grain sizes of magnetic particles within a stalagmite SZ-1， from Shizhu Cave in southwestern China from 70.4 to 22.3 thousand years ago (ka) during the last glacial period. Specifically， the parameters IRMsoft， soil-derived magnetic minerals， and ARM/SIRM (anhysteretic remanent magnetization/saturation isothermal remanent magnetization)， the ratio of fine magnetic particles to total ferrimagnetic particles preserved in stalagmite SZ-1， indicate the fluctuation of regional precipitation. Obvious half-precessional cycles are evident in these two proxies， indicating that hydroclimatic variations in southwestern China may predominantly arise from the heat and moisture transported from tropical oceans. These variations are likely influenced by shifts in the Intertropical Convergence Zone and fluctuations in the Asian summer monsoon.

Air sparging is a remedial method for groundwater. The remedial region is similar to the air flow region in the saturated zone. If soil particles are transported during air sparging, the porosity distributions in the saturated zone change, which may alter the flow path of the air. To understand better the particle movement, this study performed a sandbox test to estimate the soil porosity change during air sparging. A clear fracture was formed and the phenomenon of particle movement was observed when the air injection was started. The moved sand filled the porous around the fracture and the reparked sand filled the fracture, reducing the porosity around the fracture. The results obtained from the photographs of the sandbox, the current measurements and the direct sand sample measurements were close to each other and are credible. Therefore, air injection during air sparging causes sand particle movement of sand, altering the characteristic of the sand matrix and the air distribution.

Flexible sensors have been widely studied for use in motion monitoring,human‒machine interactions(HMIs),personalized medicine,and soft intelligent ***,their practical application is limited by their low output performance,narrow measuring range,and unidirectional force ***,to achieve flexibility and high performance simultaneously,we developed a flexible wide-range multidimensional force sensor(FWMFS)similar to bones embedded in muscle *** adjustable magnetic field endows the FWMFS with multidimensional perception for detecting forces in different *** multilayer stacked coils significantly improved the output from theμV to the mV level while ensuring FWMFS *** optimized FWMFS exhibited a high voltage sensitivity of 0.227 mV/N(0.5–8.4 N)and 0.047 mV/N(8.4–60 N)in response to normal forces ranging from 0.5 N to 60 N and could detect lateral forces ranging from 0.2–1.1 N and voltage sensitivities of 1.039 mV/N(0.2–0.5 N)and 0.194 mV/N(0.5–1.1 N).In terms of normal force measurements,the FWMFS can monitor finger pressure and sliding trajectories in response to finger taps,as well as measure plantar pressure for assessing human *** plantar pressure signals of five human movements collected by the FWMFS were analyzed using the k-nearest neighbors classification algorithm,which achieved a recognition accuracy of 92%.Additionally,an artificial intelligence biometric authentication system is being developed that classifies and recognizes user *** on the lateral force measurement ability of the FWMFS,the direction of ball movement can be distinguished,and communication systems such as Morse Code can be *** research has significant potential in intelligent sensing and personalized spatial recognition.

为了改善二硅化钼(MoSi_(2))的低温抗氧化性,本文提出了一种原位合成MoSi_(2)-SiC复合粉末的工艺。首次使用MoS_(2)、Si和C作为原料制备MoSi_(2)-SiC复合粉末,相较于Mo、Si和C作为原料可极大降低原料成本。结果表明:当原料中MoS_(2)∶Si∶C的摩尔比为1∶(4+x)∶x时,在1400℃反应2 h即可制备MoSi_(2)-SiC复合粉末,并且可以通过调控x值来调整产物中SiC的比例。制备的SiC颗粒均匀分布在MoSi_(2)晶粒表面和晶界上,并且随着温度的增加,SiC与MoSi_(2)一同长大。当温度为1500℃时,随着产物中SiC比例的增加,MoSi_(2)的晶粒逐渐减小,这是由于部分生成的SiC分布在MoSi_(2)晶界处抑制了其长大。

Recovery and separation of Fe and Mn from simulated chlorinated vanadium slag by molten salt electrolysis
