Opportunity to harmonize aspects of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)performance and structure,and morphology,as well as composition,is urgent for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel ***,we demonstrate the design and synthesis of a functionalized-supported-Pt catalyst(Pt@HNC)featuring a hollow nitrogen-modified dodecahedral carbon substrate obtained by a stress-induced-shrink tailoring *** as-obtained Pt@HNC catalyst possesses enhanced ORR per-formance,in particular with half-wave potential,mass activity(MA)and specific activity,which greatly exceed the commercial Pt/*** density functional theory(DFT)calculations further confirmed that the charge redistribution induced by the electronegativity differences improved the electron interaction between Pt and HNC *** optimized electronic structure of Pt weakens the reaction energy barrier on the Pt@HNC surface and adsorption of^(*)OH species,thus cooperatively improving the intrinsic activity toward ***,our work indeed provides a guide for the future design of functional nanomaterials in the field of catalysts and clean energy.

Biosynthesis and biodegradation of microorganisms critically underpin the development of biotechnology,new drugs and therapies,and environmental ***,most uncultured microbial species along with their metabolic capacities in extreme environments,remain *** we unravel the metabolic potential of microbial dark matters(MDMs)in four deep-inland hypersaline lakes in Xinjiang,*** metagenomic binning,we uncovered a rich diversity of 3030 metagenomeassembled genomes(MAGs)across 82.phyla,revealing a substantial portion,2.63 MAGs,as previously unclassified at the genus *** unknown MAGs displayed unique distribution patterns across different lakes,indicating a strong correlation with varied physicochemical *** analysis revealed an extensive array of 9635 biosynthesis gene clusters(BGCs),with a remarkable 9403 being novel,suggesting untapped biotechnological ***,some MAGs from potentially new phyla exhibited a high density of these *** biosynthesis,our study also identified novel biodegradation pathways,including dehalogenation,anaerobic ammonium oxidation(Anammox),and degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and plastics,in previously unknown microbial *** findings significantly enrich our understanding of biosynthesis and biodegradation processes and open new avenues for biotechnological innovation,emphasizing the untapped potential of microbial diversity in hypersaline environments.

The rational design of a specific co-drug delivery platform that can address the unavoidable resistance, toxic side effects and low targeting efficiency of traditional cancer treatments is of great ***, Zn-based MOF-zeolitic imidazole framework-90(ZIF-90) was selected as the drug delivery carrier, with the cancer therapeutic drug mercaptopurine(6-MP) and glucose oxidase(GOD) as the drug models, hyaluronic acid(HA) was used for protection and targeted delivery, which designed and fabricated an intelligent drug delivery platform(6-MP@ZIF-90@GOD@HA). This platform aims to reduce the toxic side effects of 6-MP and enhance its efficacy while improving the targeting ability of GOD,thereby further enhancing the treatment outcome. Notably,results from both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that the targeted synergistic chemo/reactive oxygen species(ROS)-mediated/starvation therapy inhibited the cancer cell growth while reducing the chemotherapy toxicity, which provides new possibilities for the development of more precise and effective treatment strategies.

Application of nanoscale metal–organic frameworks in tumor immunotherapy

Immunotherapy has attracted wide attention because it can not only kill tumor cells but also effectively prevent tumor recurrence. However, due to the poor efficacy of the monotherapy in tumor immunotherapy, combination therapies are needed to enhance their efficacy,such as chemodynamic therapy/immunotherapy, photodynamic therapy/immunotherapy, sonodynamic therapy/immunotherapy and so on. Nanoscale metal–organic frameworks(nMOFs) are widely used for drug delivery because of their rich and variable composition, high drug loading capacity and good biodegradability. Compared with other conventional drug delivery systems(DDSs),nMOFs play more advantageous role in inducing immune cell death of tumor cells and combination therapies. This article focuses on the application of n MOFs in tumor immunotherapy in terms of their use as gatekeepers, supplementary agents and drug carriers, respectively, with the aim of providing some ideas and references for the design of smart nanoscale DDS for tumor immunotherapy.

Objective Recombinase-aided polymerase chain reaction(RAP)is a sensitive,single-tube,two-stage nucleic acid amplification *** study aimed to develop an assay that can be used for the early diagnosis of three types of bacteremia caused by Staphylococcus aureus(SA),Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA),and Acinetobacter baumannii(AB)in the bloodstream based on recombinant human mannanbinding lectin protein(M1 protein)-conjugated magnetic bead(M1 bead)enrichment of pathogens combined with *** Recombinant plasmids were used to evaluate the assay *** blood influenza bacteria were used for the specific *** and clinical plasma samples were enriched with M1 beads and then subjected to multiple recombinase-aided PCR(M-RAP)and quantitative PCR(qPCR)*** analysis was used to evaluate the consistency between the two *** The M-RAP method had sensitivity rates of 1,10,and 1 copies/μL for the detection of SA,PA,and AB plasmids,respectively,without cross-reaction to other bacterial *** M-RAP assay obtained results for<10 CFU/mL pathogens in the blood within 4 h,with higher sensitivity than qPCR.M-RAP and qPCR for SA,PA,and AB yielded Kappa values of 0.839,0.815,and 0.856,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion An M-RAP assay for SA,PA,and AB in blood samples utilizing M1 bead enrichment has been developed and can be potentially used for the early detection of bacteremia.
