Photodegradation technology.has been widely.applied in the purification of industrial aromatic ***,whether this technology.efficiently.removes the pollutants to prevent secondary.pollution and health risk is still ***,the photodegradation processes of three xy.enes were compared under designed reaction atmospheres and light *** lamp showed poor photodegradation ability.toward xy.enes,no matter in N_(2) or N_(2)+O_(2)sy.tem,while much higher photodegradation performance of xy.enes were obtained under ultraviolet(UV)and vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)irradiation,especially.in N_(2)+O_(2)+VUV sy.tem,where 97.9%of m-xy.ene,99.0%of o-xy.ene or 87.5%of p-xy.ene with the initial concentration of 860 mg/m^(3) was removed within 240 *** xy.enes underwent three processes of photo-isomerization,photodecomposition and photo-oxidation to produce intermediates of aromatics,alkanes and *** them,the photo-isomerization products showed the highest concentration percentage(e.g.,≥50%in o-xy.ene sy.tem),confirming that photo-isomerization reaction was the dominated photodegradation process of ***,these isomerized products not only.contributed about 97%and91%to the formation potential of O3(OFP)and secondary.organic aerosols(SOAFP),but also display.d obvious non-carcinogenic risk,although one of photodecomposition product—benzene showed the highest occupational exposure ***,the secondary.pollution and health risks of photodegradation products of xy.enes were non-ignorable,although the OFP,SOAFP and health risks of the generated products reduced at least 4.5 times in comparison with that of the degraded *** findings are helpful for the appropriate application of this technology.in the purification of industrial organic waste gas.

An overview of potential cardioprotective benefits of xanthophy.ls in atherosclerosis:an evidence-based review

Atherosclerosis,as the most prevalent form of cardiovascular disease,is characterized by.oxidized lowdensity.lipoprotein(ox-LDL)accumulation in the vascular wall,increased inflammation of the large arteries,dy.function of the endothelial cells(ECs)and vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),which may.eventually.lead to the formation of ***,one of the main groups of carotenoids,have been proposed as preventive agents or adjunct therapies to prevent and slow the progression of atherosclerosis due to their cardioprotective ***,the underly.ng preventive mechanism of action of xanthophy.ls on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis remains unclear,and clinical evidence of the effect of xanthophy.ls on atherosclerosis have not y.t been summarized and critically.*** this regard,we conducted a comprehensive literature search in four scientific databases(Pub Med,Google Scholar,Science Direct and Web of Science)and carefully.analy.ed the existing evidence to provide meaningful insights on the association between xanthophy.ls and atherosclerosis from various *** on the evidence from in vitro and in vivo studies,we explored several potential mechanisms,including antioxidant effect,anti-inflammatory.effect,regulation of lipid metabolism,and modulation of ECs and VSMCs dy.function,and we found that a clear picture of regulatory.pathway. of xanthophy.ls on atherosclerosis prevention and treatment is still *** addition,epidemiological studies suggested the possible relationship among high dietary.intake of xanthophy.ls,high plasma/serum xanthophy.ls and a reduced risk of *** evidence from interventional studies investigating the effect of xanthophy.ls on atherosclerosis is very.sparse,whilst indirect clinical evidence was only.limited to astaxanthin and ***,well-designed long-term randomized controlled trials(RCTs)are highly.recommended for future studies to investigate the effective dose of different

Axial enantiomers with donor-regulated TADF feature for multicolor circularly.polarized electroluminescence

This study.optimized the TADF feature of axial chiral enantiomers through precise donor engineering,and multicolor CP-TADFwas achieved in the axial chiral *** pairs of axial enantiomers with donor-regulated TADF feature,namely.R/S)-TPCBD,(R/S)-DPCBD,and(R/S)-DPACBD,were sy.thesized by.introducing carbazole donors with different substituents onto bipheny. cy.nide *** the electron-donating ability.of donors increases,the emission of these axial enantiomers ranges from 455,476 to 552 nm,their singlet-triplet energy.gaps(ΔE_(ST))gradually.decrease from 0.30,0.22 to 0.02 e V,accompanied by.an increasement in the transition rate(k_(RISC))of RISC process,and the k_(RISC)of DPACBD could reach up to 7.16×10^(5)s^(-1).These axial enantiomers also exhibit mirror-image CD and circularly.polarized luminescence(CPL)***,OLEDs based on TPCBD,DPCBD,and DPACBD as emitter were then fabricated,which display.d blue,green,and orange electroluminescence with EQE_(max)of 13.0%,16.4%,and 25.0%,*** results also exhibited a phenomenon of device efficiency.increasing with the enhancement of donor ***,the CP-OLEDs using(R/S)-TPCBD,(R/S)-DPCBD and(R/S)-DPACBD as emitters display.d intense CPEL signals with g_(EL)values of 3.4×10^(-3)/-4.1×10^(-3),3.2×10^(-3)/-3.1×10^(-3)and2.3×10^(-3)/-2.1×10^(-3),*** convenient molecular engineering of donor regulation in the same molecular skeleton,CP-TADF materials with multicolor CPEL and improved device performance could be conveniently.achieved.

A two-step multi-frequency.receiver function inversion method for shallow crustal S-wave velocity.structure and its application across the basin-mountain range belts in Northeast China

A shallow crustal velocity.structure(above 10 km depth) is essential for understanding the crustal structures and deformation and assessing the exploration prospect of natural resources, and also provides priori information for imaging deeper crustal and mantle structure. Passive-source seismic methods are cost-effective and advantageous for regional-scale imaging of shallow crustal structures compared to active-source methods. Among these passive methods, techniques utilizing receiver function waveforms and/or body.wave amplitude ratios have recently.gained prominence due to their relatively.high spatial resolution. However, in basin regions, reverberations caused by.near-surface unconsolidated sedimentary.lay.rs often introduce strong non-uniqueness and uncertainty. limiting the applicability.of such methods. To address these challenges, we propose a two-step inversion method that uses multi-frequency.P-RF waveforms and P-RF horizontal-to-vertical amplitude ratios. Sy.thetic tests indicate that our two-step inversion method can mitigate the non-uniqueness of the inversion and enhance the stability.of the results. Apply.ng this method to teleseismic data from a linear seismic array.across the sedimentary.basins in Northeast China, we obtain a high-resolution image of the shallow crustal S-wave velocity.structure along the array. Our results reveal significant differences between the basins and mountains. The identification of low-velocity.anomalies(y.lay.rs. Moreover, the high-velocity.anomalies(~3.4–3.8 km s^(-1)) occurring at depths greater than 7 km in the Songliao Basin may.reflect mafic intrusions emplaced during the Early.Cretaceous. Velocity.anomaly.distribution in our imaging result is consistent with the location of the major faults, uplifts, and sedimentary.depressions, as well as active-source seismic res

Constructal design of a rectangular parallel phase change microchannel in a three-dimensional electronic device

Based on constructal theory.a rectangular parallel phase change microchannel model in a three-dimensional electronic device(TDED)is established with R134a as the cooling *** on the minimization of a complex function(CF)composed of linear weighting sum of maximum temperature difference and pumping power consumption,constructal design of the TDED is conducted first;and then,maximum temperature difference and pumping power consumption are minimized by.non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II *** results reveal that there exist an optimal mass flow rate(0.0012 kg/s)and a quadratic optimal aspect ratio(AR)(0.39)of the microchannel which lead to quadratic minimum CF(0.817).Compared with the original value,the CF after optimization is reduced by.18.34%.Reducing the inlet temperature of cooling fluid and microchannel number appropriately.can help to enhance the overall performance of *** using the artificial neural network and genetic algorithms in the toolboxes of Matlab software,the optimal AR gained in the Pareto solution set is located between 0.2–*** smallest deviation index among three discussed strategies is 0.346,and the corresponding optimal AR is 0.413,which is selected as the optimal design strategy.of the microchannel in the TDED under multiple *** findings in this study.can serve as theoretical guides for thermal designs of electronic devices.
