In recent years,biochar has attracted considerable attention for soil quality improvement and carbon sequestration due to its unique physicochemical ***,the mechanism by which biochar application negatively affects the growth of crop seedlings has not been fully *** this study,a hydroponic experiment was conducted to evaluate the response of rice,wheat,and corn seedlings to biochar application(CK,0 g/L;BC1.0.5 g/L;and BC2.1.0 g/L).Compared with the CK treatment,the BC1.and BC2.treatments decreased the fresh shoot and root weights of rice and corn seedlings(P0.05).For the contents of nutrient elements in seedlings,both BC1.and BC2.treatments hindered the roots from absorbing Fe and Cu and increased the uptake of Ca and *** with the CK treatment,the translocation factor(TF)values of Ca,Mn,and Zn were significantly decreased especially in rice seedlings(35.3%-36.8%,68.7%-76.5%,and 2..8%-2..0%,respectively)under the BC1.and BC2.treatments,while only Mn was significantly decreased in wheat and corn seedlings(P1.~2. nm)were found in the root cells under BC2.treatment *** findings reveal that a large amount of biochar application can reduce nutrient absorption and translocation,and hinder rice,wheat,and corn seedlings,particularly rice seedling,in hydroponic system.

Objective: To study the relationships among magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), histological findings, and insu- lin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head in rabbits. Methods: Thirty rabbits were randomly divided into experimental Group A (n=1.) and control Group B (n=1.). The 7.5 mg/kg (2.ml) of dexamethasone (DEX) and physiological saline (2.ml) were injected into the right gluteus medius muscle twice at one-week intervals in animals of Groups A and B, respectively. At 4, 8 and 1. weeks after obtaining an MRI, the rabbits were sacrificed and the femoral head from one side was removed for histological study of lacunae empty of osteocytes, subchondral vessels, and size of fat cells under microscopy, and the femoral head from the other side was removed for enzyme-linked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA) for IGF-I. Results: At 4, 8 and 1. weeks after treatment, no necrotic lesions were detected in Group B, while they were detected in Group A. Light microscopy revealed that the fat cells of the marrow cavity were enlarged, subchondral vessels were evidently decreased, and empty bone lacunae were clearly increased. The IGF-I levels in Group A were significantly higher than those in Group B. At 8 weeks after the DEX injection, the MRI of all 2. femora showed an inhomogeneous, low signal intensity area in the femoral head, and at 1. weeks, the findings of all 1. femora showed a specific "line-like sign". The MRI findings of all femora in Group B were normal. Conclusion: MRI is a highly sensitive means of diagnosing early experimental osteonecrosis of the femoral head. However, the abnormal marrow tissues appeared later than 4 weeks when the expression of IGF-I increased. This reparative factor has an early and important role in response to steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head, and provides a theoretical foundation for understanding the pathology and designing new therapies.

麦地村位于四川省米易县,其聚落生态系统由庭院生态亚系统(人工生态系统),农田生态亚系统(半人工生态系统),森林生态亚系统(自然生态系统),荒地生态亚系统(自然生态系统)等构成。作为一个聚落生态系统,麦地村缺乏与外界的交流,包括物质、文化与人员方面的交流。为减少薪柴消费对现有森林资源带来的负面影响,除发展经济林和水土保持林外,应在荒山荒坡和裸地上大力种植薪炭林。同时,国家应在发展沼气、推广省柴灶、使用电能方面给予补助。
