OBJECTIVE Targeting individual molecule is not only difficult to cure multigenic cancers, but also prone to inducing resistance. The so-cal ed multidrug resistance(MDR) in breast cancer is highly associated with estrogen receptor α induction and the overexpression of breast cancer resistance protein(BCRP) ***, one of the strategies to overcome MDR is to inhibit the expression of the transporter by small molecule inhibitors. METHODS Western blotting and RT-PCR were used respectively for quantification of protein expression and m RNA, non-reducing gradientgel electrophoresis and fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET) microscopy imaging for determination of BCRP dimer. RESULTS Cryptotanshinone(CPT) a natural anti-cancer compound,was found to bind BCRP and inhibit its membrane dimerization to attenuate its transport function. And this process is dependent on estrogen receptor α(ERα) in breast cancer. Furthermore, the resistant breast cancer cells with high BCRP expression are also sensitive to CPT followed with the inhibition of membrane dimer of BCRP although they are ERα-negative, suggesting that BCRP expression is essential to CPT reversing the ***, the combination of CPT and chemotherapy drugs could obviously enhance the chemotherapeutic effect in vitro. CONCLUSION Totally, we thought that CPT is a novel natural BCRP inhibitor via blocking the formation of BCRP membrane dimer. At the presence of ERα, it functions via ERα regulation, but directly propels BCRP at the absence of ER in resistant cells. CPT can target multi molecules and switch the target from ERα to BCRP in ERα-negative breast cancer, contributing to decrease the occurrence of resistance and reverse multidrug resistance in breast cancer.

With the continuous exploration of uncharted and extreme environments,enhanced temperature robustness of passive devices has become particularly *** this study,a ceramic-based meta-material absorber with exceptional temperature stability is developed using a fusion design approach that combines rare metal-based tungsten bronze structural ceramics and ***,the absorbance of the meta-material array based on Mie resonance exceeds 49.0%in both waveguides and free space,approaching the theoretical *** to impedance analysis,the absorption performance can be distinctly correlated with the dielectric loss （Q_f）.Notably,the high-temperature robustness is verified to still be effective at 400℃.These advancements in our design allow for the use of monolithic materials in fabricating temperature-stable perfect absorbers,providing greater freedom in the dielectric performance and expanding their potential applications,including in space exploration and 5G millimeter-wave scenarios.

Shaped charge warhead is important for enhancing the damage performance of underwater *** paper used finite element analysis software and based on JPC water penetration experiments to examine the influence of liner parameters(wall thickness,material),charge aspect ratio,and stand-off distance on the movement characteristics of JPC in *** findings reveal that the head diameter of the JPC increases and experiences significant erosion after entering the water,the effective length of the JPC in water undergoes two distinct phases:a growth phase and a decrease phase,with the velocity of the JPC decaying *** the liner thickness,stand-off distance and the charge aspect ratio can improve the erosion resistance and the velocity retention capacity of the *** optimal ranges for liner thickness and stand-off distance are 0.0363D_(k) to 0.0545D_(k)(D_(k) is the charge diameter),the stand-off distance should be within 1.0D_(k).After the charge aspect ratio higher than 1.25,the charge structure exerts minimal influence the movement characteristics of the JPC in *** density plays a crucial role in the velocity decay pattern of the JPC during *** with higher densities exhibit superior velocity retention capabilities in water,with the velocity decay pattern converging if the densities are ***,copper,tantalum and tungsten liners are deemed appropriate for underwater shaped charge ***,the results will provide an important reference for the design of underwater shaped charge warhead.

Cathode materials that possess high output voltage,as well as those that can be mass-produced using facile techniques,are crucial for the advancement of aqueous zinc-ion battery(ZIBs)applications,Herein,we present for the first time a new porous K_(0.5)VOPO_(4)·1.5H_(2)O polyanionic cathode(P-KIVP)with high output voltage(above 1.2 V)that can be manufactured at room temperature using straightforward coprecipitation and etching *** P-KVP cathode experiences anisotropic crystal plane expansion via a sequential solid-solution intercalation and phase co nversion pathway throughout the Zn^(2+)storage process,as confirmed by in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction and ex-situ X-ray photoelectron *** to other layered vanadium-based polyanionic materials,the P-KVP cathode experiences a progressive decline in voltage during the cycle,which is demonstrated to be caused by the irreversible conversion into amorphous VO_(x).By introducing a new electrolyte containing Zn(OTF)_(2) to a mixed triethyl phosphate and water solution,it is possible to impede this irreversible conversion and obtain a high output voltage and longer cycle life by forming a P-rich cathode electrolyte interface *** a proof-of-concept,the flexible fiber-shaped ZIBs based on modified electrolyte woven into a fabric watch band can power an electronic watch,highlighting the application potential of P-KVP cathode.

AIM: To explore the possibility that expressions of different heat shock proteins (HSPs) are specifically involved in the protection of thermal preconditioning against apoptosis of cerebellar granule neurons (CGNs) induced by repolarization. METHODS: Western blotting was used to detect expressions of HSP27, HSP70, and HSP90 in- duced by thermal preconditioning (TP) in CGNs; reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression level of HSP70 mRNA; apoptosis of CGNs was induced by switching culture medium containing KCl 25 mmol/L to one containing KCl 5 mmol/L. RESULTS: No expression of HSP27 in cerebellar granule neurons was observed with TP at 44 oC. Expression of HSP90 was obvious in CGNs both without and with TP at 44 oC for different periods. Expression of HSP70 protein in CGNs was lower with TP at 44 oC for 5 min, but it increased gradually after the period was prolonged to 30, 60, or 90 min. HSP70 mRNA was detected after TP 44 oC for 30, 60, and 90 min and increased gradually with time. HSP70 antisense oligodeoxynucleotides 10 μmol/Lfor 72 h inhibited the protective effects of TP at 44 oC on apoptosis of CGNs induced by repolarization. CONCLUSION: HSP70 is involved in protective effects of thermal preconditioning on apoptosis in cerebellar granule neurons induced by repolarization.
