Detection and quantification of Pb and Cr in oysters using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy

The quantitative determination of heavy metals in aquatic products is of great importance for food security ***-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS)has been used in a variety of foodstuff analysis,but is still limited by its low sensitivity when targeting trace heavy *** this work,we compare three sample enrichment methods,namely drying,carbonization,and ashing,for increasing detection sensitivity by LIBS analysis for Pb and Cr in oyster *** results demonstrate that carbonization can remove a significant amount of the contributions of organic elements C,H,N and O;meanwhile,the signals of the metallic elements such as Cu,Pb,Sr,Ca,Cr and Mg are enhanced by3–6 times after carbonization,and further enhanced by 5–9 times after *** enhancement is not only due to the more concentrated metallic elements in the sample compared to the dried ones,but also the unifying of the matter in carbonized and ashed samples from which higher plasma temperature and electron density are *** condition favors the detection of trace *** to the calibration curves with univariate and multivariate analysis,the ashing method is considered to be the best *** limits of detection of the ashing method are 0.52 mg kg-1 for Pb and0.08 mg kg-1 for Cr,which can detect the presence of heavy metals in the oysters exceeding the maximum limits of Pb and Cr required by the Chinese national *** method provides a promising application for the heavy metal contamination monitoring in the aquatic product industry.

OB glue paste technique for establishing nude mouse human gastric cancer orthotopic transplantation models

AIM： To establish nude mouse human gastric cancer orthotopic transplantation models using OB glue paste technique. METHODS： Using OB glue paste technique, orthtopic transplantation models were established by implanting SGC-7901 and NKN-45 human gastric cancer cell strains into the gastric wall of nude mice. Biological features, growth of the implanted tumors, the success rate of transplantation and the rate of auto-metastasis of the two models were observed. RESULTS： The success rates of orthotopic transplanration of the two models were 94.20% and 96%. The rates of hepatic metastasis, pulmonary metastasis, peritoneal metastasis, lymphocytic metastasis and splenic metastasis were 42.13% and 94.20%, 48.43% and 57.97%, 30.83% and 36.96%, 67.30% and 84.06%, and 59.75% and 10.53%, respectively. The occurrence of ascites was 47.80% and 36.96%. CONCLUSION： OB glue paste technique is easy to follow. The biological behaviors of the nude mouse human gastric cancer orthotopic transplantation models established with this technique are similar to the natural processes of growth and metastasis of human gastric cancer, and, therefore, can be used as an ideal model for experimental research of proliferative metastasis of tumors.

CME is one of the important events in the sun-earth system as it can induce geomagnetic disturbance and an associated space environment *** is of special significance to predict whether CME will reach the Earth and when it will *** this paper,we firstly built a new multiple association list for 215 different events with 18 characteristics including CME features,eruption region coordinates and solar wind *** on the CME list,we designed a novel model based on the principle of the recommendation algorithm to predict the arrival time of *** to the two commonly used calculation methods in the recommendation system,cosine distance and Euclidean distance,a controlled trial was carried out *** feature has been found to have its own appropriate *** error analysis indicates the result using the Euclidean distance similarity is much better than that using cosine distance *** mean absolute error and root mean square error of test data in the Euclidean distance are 11.78 and 13.77 h,close to the average level of other CME models issued in the CME scoreboard,which verifies the effectiveness of the recommendation *** work gives a new endeavor using the recommendation algorithm,and is expected to induce other applications in space weather prediction.

BACKGROUND Acute-on-chronic liver disease(AoCLD)accounts for the majority of patients hospitalized in the Department of Hepatology or Infectious *** To explore the characterization of AoCLD to provide theoretical guidance for the accurate diagnosis and prognosis of *** Patients with AoCLD from the Chinese Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure(ACLF)study cohort were included in this *** clinical characteristics and outcomes,and the 90-d survival rate associated with each clinical type of AoCLD were analyzed,using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank *** A total of 3375 patients with AoCLD were enrolled,including 1679(49.7%)patients with liver cirrhosis acute decompensation(LC-AD),850(25.2%)patients with ACLF,577(17.1%)patients with chronic hepatitis acute exacer-bation(CHAE),and 269(8.0%)patients with liver cirrhosis active phase(LC-A).The most common cause of chronic liver disease(CLD)was HBV infection(71.4%).The most common precipitants of AoCLD was bacterial infection(22.8%).The 90-d mortality rates of each clinical subtype of AoCLD were 43.4%(232/535)for type-C ACLF,36.0%(36/100)for type-B ACLF,27.0%(58/215)for type-A ACLF,9.0%(151/1679)for LC-AD,3.0%(8/269)for LC-A,and 1.2%(7/577)for *** HBV infection is the main cause of CLD,and bacterial infection is the main precipitant of *** most common clinical type of AoCLD is *** diagnosis and timely intervention are needed to reduce the mortality of patients with LC-AD or ACLF.

Melastomataceae has abundant morphological diversity with high economic and ornamental merit in Myrtales. The phylogenetic position of Myrtales is still contested. Here, we report the chromosome-level genome assembly of Melastoma dodecandrum in Melastomataceae. The assembled genome size is299.81 Mb with a contig N50 value of 3.00 Mb. Genome evolution analysis indicated that M. dodecandrum,Eucalyptus grandis, and Punica granatum were clustered into a clade of Myrtales and formed a sister group with the ancestor of fabids and malvids. We found that M. dodecandrum experienced four whole-genome polyploidization events: the ancient event was shared with most eudicots, one event was shared with Myrtales, and the other two events were unique to M. dodecandrum. Moreover, we identified MADS-box genes and found that the AP1-like genes expanded, and AP3-like genes might have undergone subfunctionalization. The SUAR63-like genes and AG-like genes showed different expression patterns in stamens, which may be associated with heteranthery. In addition, we found that LAZY1-like genes were involved in the negative regulation of stem branching development, which may be related to its creeping features. Our study sheds new light on the evolution of Melastomataceae and Myrtales, which provides a comprehensive genetic resource for future research.

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)rearrangements are present in about 5–6%of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)cases and associated with increased risks of central nervous system(CNS)***,a novel ALK inhibitor,demonstrated promising anti-tumor activity and safety in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC in the first-in-human phase I *** phase III trial(*** NCT04009317)investigated the efficacy and safety of first-line envonalkib in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC *** 264 participants were randomized 1:1 to receive envonalkib(n=131)or crizotinib(n=133).Median independent review committee(IRC)-assessed progression-free survival(PFS)times were 24.87(95%confidence interval[CI]:15.64–30.36)and 11.60(95%CI:8.28–13.73)months in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,respectively(hazard ratio[HR]=0.47,95%CI:0.34–0.64,p<0.0001).IRC-assessed confirmed objective response rate(ORR)was higher(81.68%vs.70.68%,p=0.056)and duration of response was longer(median,25.79[95%CI,16.53–29.47]vs.11.14[95%CI,9.23–16.59]months,p=0.0003)in the envonalkib group compared with the crizotinib *** participants with baseline brain target lesions,IRC-assessed CNS-ORR was improved with envonalkib compared with crizotinib(78.95%vs.23.81%).Overall survival(OS)data were immature,and median OS was not reached in either group(HR=0.84,95%CI:0.48–1.47,p=0.5741).The 12-month OS rates were 90.6%(95%CI,84.0%–94.5%)and 89.4%(95%CI,82.8%–93.6%)in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,***≥3 treatment-related adverse events were observed in 55.73%and 42.86%of participants in the envonalkib and crizotinib groups,*** significantly improved PFS and delayed brain metastasis progression in advanced ALK-positive NSCLC.

Background： High-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation （ASCT） is a promising approach tbr lymphomas. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of ifosfamide, cisplatin or carboplatin, and etoposide （ICE）-based regimen as a mobilization regimen on relapsed, refractory, or high-risk aggressive lymphoma. Methods： From June 2001 to May 2013, patients with lymphomas who mobilized by ICE-based regimen for ASCT were analyzed in this retrospective study. The results of the autologous peripheral blood stem cells collection, toxicity, engraftment after ICE-based mobilization regimen were analyzed in this study. Furthermore, risk factors for overall survival （OS） and progression free survival （PFS） were evaluated by univariate analysis. Results： The stem cells were mobilized using ICE-based regimen plus rituximab or ICE-based regimen alone in 12 patients and 54 patients, respectively. The results of stem cell mobilization were excellent. Ninety-seven percentages of the patients had the stein cell collection of at least 2.0 ×10^6, CD34^＋ cells/kg and 68% had at least 5 × 10^6, CD34^＋ cells/kg. Fifty-eight percentage of the patients experienced Grade 4 neutropenia, 20% developed febrile neutropenia, and only 12% had Grade 4 thrombocytopenia. At a median follow-up of 63.8 months, the 5-year PFS and OS were 64.4% and 75.3%, respectively. Conclusion： ICE is a powerful regimen for stem cell mobilization in patients with lymphomas.

Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department *** syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). The present guideline includes the underlying diseases of syncope in children and adolescents, the diagnostic procedures, methodology and clinical significance of standing test and headup tilt test, the clinical diagnosis vasovagal syncope, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, orthostatic hypotension and orthostatic hypertension, and the treatment of syncope as well as follow-up.
