River ice jam is one of the most important issues in rivers in cold regions during winter time. With the extra solid boundary due to the ice cover, the flow condition under ice-covered conditions is completely different from that of a open channel flow. The presence of bridge piers will further change the velocity field around the bridge piers. As a consequence, the formation and the accumulation of ice jams in the vicinity of the bridge pier will be affected. On the other side, the formation of an ice jam around the piers can cause extra turbulence to reduce the stability of a river bridge. The present study focuses on the stress analysis of the ice jam in the vicinity of a bridge pier. By developing a governing equation for describing the equilibrium state of an ice jam, the stability of the ice jam around bridge piers is analyzed and determined. As seen from the field data in literature, the stability estimations of an ice jam around bridge piers determined by the present method agree well with the field observations. Therefore, the proposed approach can be used for the prediction of the formation of ice jams around bridge piers.

River ice often forms in the cold regions of northern hemisphere which can lead to ice jams （or ice dams）. Water level can be significantly raised due to ice jams. As a consequence, disastrous ice flooding may be resulted, such as the ice jam flooding in the Nechako River in Prince George in winter 2007-2008. In the present study, the equations describing the ice jam thickness in the transverse direction are derived. The impact of the secondary vortex is considered while the cohesive force within ice cubes is neglected in the model. The relationship between the parameter β and the total water depth is established based on the assumption that all other variables except the velocities are kept constant on the same cross section. By using the parameter β and the developed equations, the ice jam thickness in the transverse direction can be predicted. The developed model is used to simulate the ice jam thickness in the transverse direction at the Hequ Reach of the Yellow River in China. The simulated ice jam thicknesses agree well with the field measurements on different cross sections.

寒带河流在春季往往会由于水力和热力因素的剧烈变化而引发冰盖溃决,国内俗称为"武开河"。这一现象会导致冰坝形成,造成巨大的自然灾害。通过冰盖断裂机理的力学分析,耦合热力对冰盖材料性质的影响,提出了一种开河判别方法。应用黄河河曲段实测原型资料进行验证分析,结果表明该准则判定结果与实际相符,是一种行之有效的判别准则。

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are distinguished by their unique porosity and meticulously ordered framework structures,setting them apart from conventional complexes. These materials are defined by their highly organized crystalline and pore structures, extensive surface areas, robust porosity, and superior adsorption capabilities. Owing to their exceptional structural and functional attributes, MOFs and their derivatives are leveraged across a broad spectrum of applications, demonstrating significant potential across diverse sectors. In recent times, the scientific community has increasingly focused on MOFs, underscoring their growing importance in research. Despite the promising array of applications for MOFs and their derivatives,challenges persist in practical deployments, and the pathway to research advancement remains daunting. This document delves into the synthesis and various applications of MOFs and their derivatives, particularly in the domains of energy storage, catalysis,sensing, and water treatment. It also highlights the ongoing research progress in the field of electrochemistry, including developments in lithium ion batteries (LIBs), lithium-sulfur batteries (LSBs), zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs), aqueous nickel-zinc batteries (NZBs), and supercapacitors. Finally, it provides an outlook on the future prospects and potential hurdles facing the development of MOF materials.

冬季寒区引水明渠的结冰问题会影响河道的运行和管理,文章利用热力和水力耦合的数学模型对不同条件下二维渠道内的冰盖生长进行数值模拟,通过改变水流速度、气温、水深以及风速的大小分析形成的冰盖厚度;根据数值模拟结果,得出了寒区引水明渠冰盖厚度的增长规律与冰盖形成后水流速度场和温度场的分布规律,以及不同因素对渠道结冰的影响程度。

Background:Transmembrane emp24 trafficking protein 3(TMED3)is associated with the development of several tumors;however,whether TMED3 regulates the progression of prostate cancer remains *** and Methods:Short hairpin RNA was performed to repress TMED3 in prostate cancer cells(DU145 cells)and in a prostate cancer mice model to determine its function in prostate cancer in vitro and in ***:In the present study,we found that TMED3 was highly expressed in prostate cancer *** vitro,shTMED3 treatment suppressed the proliferation,invasion,and migration and promoted the apoptosis of DU145 ***,the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis showed a strong correlation between TMED3 and forkhead box O transcription factor(FOXO)***,TMED3 inhibition efficiently decreased FOXO1a and FOXO3a *** vivo,TMED3 downregulation suppressed the apoptosis,growth,and metastasis of prostate cancer cells via FOXO1a and ***:The present findings show that TMED3 participates in the regulation of prostate cancer progression via FOXO1a and FOXO3a phosphorylation,thereby revealing a novel mechanism underlying prostate cancer development and suggesting that TMED3 inhibition may serve as a novel strategy for prostate cancer treatment.
