The hydrological conditions near the soil surface influence the soil erosion process,as determined by the soil erodibility and critical shear *** soil erodibility and critical shear stress of saturated purple soil slopes were computed and compared with those of unsaturated purple soil *** detachment capacities computed through the numerical method(NM),modified numerical method(MNM)and analytical method(AM),from rill erosion experiments on saturated purple soil slopes at different flow rates(2,4,and 8 L min-1)and slope gradients(5,10,15,and 20°),were used to comparatively compute the soil erodibility and critical shear *** computed soil erodibilities and critical shear stresses were also compared with those of unsaturated purple soil *** the different slope gradients ranging from 5°to 20°,there were no significant differences in the soil erodibilities of the saturated purple soil and also in those of the unsaturated purple *** critical shear stresses slightly varied with the slope *** saturated purple soil was relatively significantly more susceptible to *** NM overestimated the soil erodibility of both saturated and unsaturated soils by 31%and underestimated the critical shear *** MNM yielded the same soil erodibility and critical shear stress values as the *** results of this study supply parameters for modeling rill erosion of saturated purple soil slope.

The plant steroid hormones, brassinosteroids （BRs）, play important roles in plant growth, development, and responses to environmental stresses. BRs signal through receptors localized to the plasma membrane and other signaling components to regulate the BES1/BZR1 family of transcription factors, which modulates the expression of thousands of genes. How BESl/BZR1 and their interacting proteins function to regulate the large number of genes are not com- pletely understood. Here we report that histone lysine methyltransferase SDG8, implicated in histone 3 lysine 36 diand trimethylation （H3K36me2 and me3）, is involved in BR-regulated gene expression. BES1 interacts with SDG8, directly or indirectly through IWSl, a transcription elongation factor involved in BR-regulated gene expression. The knockout mutant sdg8 displays a reduced growth phenotype with compromised BR responses. Global gene expression studies demonstrated that, while BR regulates about 5000 genes in wild-type plants, the hormone regulates fewer than 700 genes in sdg8 mutant. In addition, more than half of BR-regulated genes are differentially affected in sdg8 mutant. A Chromatin Immunoprecipitation （CHIP） experiment showed that H3K36me3 is reduced in BR-regulated genes in the sdg8 mutant. Based on these results, we propose that SDG8 plays an essential role in mediating BR-regulated gene expression. Our results thus reveal a major mechanism by which histone modifications dictate hormonal regulation of gene expression.

Epigenetic marks on histones and DNA,such as DNA methylation at N6-adenine(6mA),play crucial roles in gene expression and genome maintenance,but their deposition and function in microalgae remain largely ***,we report a genome-wide 6mA map for the model industrial oleaginous microalga Nannochloropsis oceanica produced by single-molecule real-time *** in 0.1%of adenines,6mA sites are mostly enriched at the AGGYV motif,more abundant in transposons and 30 untranslated re-gions,and associated with active ***,6mA gradually increases in abundance along the direction of gene transcription and shows special positional enrichment near splicing donor and transcrip-tion termination *** expressed genes tend to show greater 6mA abundance in the gene body than do poorly expressed genes,indicating a positive interaction between 6mA and general transcription ***,knockout of the putative 6mA methylase NO08G00280 by genome editing leads to changes in methylation patterns that are correlated with changes in the expression of molybdenum cofactor,sulfate transporter,glycosyl transferase,and lipase genes that underlie reductions in biomass and oil *** contrast,knockout of the candidate demethylase NO06G02500 results in increased 6mA levels and reduced *** the epigenomic players and their roles in biomass productivity and lipid metabolism lays a foundation for epigenetic engineering of industrial microalgae.

The laboratory lightning test is essential for assessing the effectiveness of lightning strike protection(LSP).Particularly,direct lightning strike damage can be performed with pulsed current injection into the *** paper focuses on the dynamic process of arc plasma and shock wave behaviour in the vicinity of the‘strike’point.A rod-plate discharge load is built for testing aluminium and coated plate under 40-kA-level pulsed *** visualisation of the luminous discharge plasma and its flow field via high-speed photography(from different angles)is meticulously designed and implemented,synchronised with electro-physical *** results indicate some new mechanisms for lightning strike damage,apart from the impulse heat loading from the thermal *** transient current injection through the arc root concentrates on a thin skin layer(skin-depth effect),with the radial-attenuated current density,driving asynchronously electrical explosions on the plate *** inhomogeneous Joule heating of the plate leads to outwardly propagating phase transition and shock wave along the conductive *** addition,the electro-thermal instability is observed and regarded as the seed of irregular erosion *** information reveals two different plasma states of main discharge arc channel and adjacent surface electrical *** correspondence of the physical mechanism of electrical explosion and optical radiation is *** images for different regions depict erosion characteristics and summarise influencing factors,further confirming the mechanism *** research clarifies the role of skin-depth effect in transaction arc erosion for electrode,complements the electrical explosion theory with unevenly distributed current and helps optimise strategies of LSP.

3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one(NTO)is the main component of insensitive munitions(IM)formulation because of its outstanding insensitive *** this paper,a series of NTO/HMX-based compositeexplosives were prepared and *** study focuses on the effect of NTO on the perfommance of the formulations,especially the safety *** results revealed that the mechanical sensi-tivity of fomulations was associated with NTO content,as well as the thermal conductivity,specific heat capacity and Arrhenius ***,the high amount of NTO using in formulation was proved to be helpful for NTO/HMX-based formulation to exhibit good thermal ***,by accelerating rate calorimeter(ARC)and a modified cook-off equipment,the pressure and pressure rise rate were proved as the important indicator for judging the thermal safety performance in confined ***,the numerical simulation was used as a credible method for predicting the respond temperature of cook-off experiment.
