Nanostructured Polyelectrolyte-surfactant Complex Pervaporation Membranes for Ethanol Recovery:the Relationship between the Membrane Structure and Separation Performance

Polyelectrolyte-surfactant complexes（PESCs） were fabricated through the interaction of poly（acrylic acid） and four different cationic surfactants or their mixtures. PESC membranes were prepared by solution casting method and were applied in ethanol recovery from aqueous solution via pervaporation. Elemental analysis（EA）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR）, water contact angle（CA） measurement, differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） and X-ray scattering were employed to characterize the composition, structure and properties of PESCs. The results reveal that the investigated PESCs are similar in hydrophobicity but different in hierarchical nanostructures. In separating 5 wt% ethanol/water mixture, PESC membranes with high crystallinity will have both low flux and ethanol selectivity because of the high packing density and low permeability of crystalline regions. Meanwhile, the hierarchical nanostructures of PESC membranes change under pervaporation environment as was revealed by in situ synchrotron radiation X-ray scattering measurement. That is, the crystalline region could melt at high temperature in swelling state, thus consequently enhancing the ethanol selectivity.

The first report of terrestrial Petroxestes from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation,western Liaoning, China

Abundant aggregated, elongate, shallow borings have been discovered from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation in western Liaoning, China. By contrast with several similarly-shaped trace fossils, such as Asthenopodichnium, Teredolites,Rogerella, Cubiculum and Petroxestes, their appearance, size, arranged modes, distribution density and substrate types are most similar with traces of Petroxestes that was discovered from Southern Ohio, USA（J. Paleontol. 62： 306-08,1988）. This is the first report of Petroxestes from China, and also the first report of these traces from a terrestrial environment.

A fluorescent pyrene derivate, N-allyl-l-pyrenemethylammonium hydrochloride （APA＊）, was reported to form a stable host-guest complex with cucurbit[8]uril （CB[8]）, and this property can be utilized to determinate the purity of CB[8] via emission titration. Moreover, the 1：1 complex of APA and CB[8] can further bind methyl viologen （MV^2＋）, which is the main ingredient of a widely used herbicide, providing a good method to detect MV^2＋, especially at low concentrations.

Dimerized spin-1/2 ladders exhibit a variety of phase structures,which depend on the intra-chain and inter-chain spin exchange energies as well as on the dimerization pattern of the *** the density matrix renormalization group(DMRG)algorithm,we study critical properties of the bond-alternating two-leg Heisenberg spin ladder with diagonal interaction J_(×).Two types of spin systems,staggered dimerized antiferromagnetic ladder and columnar dimerized ferro-antiferromagnetic couplings ladder,are *** clarify the phase transition behaviors,we simultaneously analyze the string order parameter(SOP),the twisted order parameter(TOP),as well as a measurement of the quantum information *** on measuring this different observables,we establish the phase diagram accurately and give the fitting functions of the phase *** addition,the phase transition of cross-coupled spin ladder(in the absence of intrinsic dimerization)is also discussed.

Structural modification of BODIPY: Improve its applicability

BODIPY has been considered a potential scaffold because of their neutral total charge, sharp absorption,and emission with high fluorescence quantum yield. However, the drawback of emission wavelength at less than 600 nm and hydrophobicity limit its application. One of the extremely interesting properties of BODIPY is that small modifications to their structures could be able to tune their properties, mainly including the absorption/emission wavelength and the hydrophilicity. This review focuses on the modification at different positions of BODIPY to improve the water-solubility and emission wavelength that describe their spectral, photophysical properties and applicability, which is helpful for the researchers to rationally design BODIPY dyes to adapt a wide range of applications.

Hypericin: chemical synthesis and biosynthesis

Hypericin is one of the most important phenanthoperylene quinones extracted mainly from plants of the genus Hypericum belonging to the sections Euhypericum and Campylosporus of Keller's classification. Widespread attention to the antiviral and anti-tumor properties of hypericin has spurred investigations of the chemical synthesis and biosynthesis of this unique compound. However, the synthetic strategies are challenging for organic and biological chemists. In this review, specific significant advances in total synthesis, semi-synthesis, and biosynthesis in the past decades are summarized.

Cytidine Mediated AuAg Nanoclusters as Bright Fluorescent Probe for Tumor Imaging in vivo

Noble metal clusters is an emerging class of fluorescent probes, avoiding most of the drawbacks of common fluorescent compounds, and they are simple to prepare and have good water solubility, good biocompatibility and excellent fluorescence properties. In this study, we have explored the synthesis of the cytidine mediated gold-silver nanoclusters （AuAg NCs） and applied it for both in vitro cellular imaging and tumor in vivo detection. Experimental results show that the as-prepared AuAg NCs can be used as a sensitive fluorescent probe for cancer cells/tissue de- tection. Especially, it is evident that under the relevant light irradiation with the wavelength of 488 nm, obviously bright fluorescence signal could be readily detected from focus location of inoculating tumor mouse, implying its possible application for the effective in vivo tumor bioimaging.

NtCPS2基因通过调控赤霉素合成影响烟草腺毛发生

烟草(Nicotiana tabacum)叶面腺毛的生长发育与烟叶的香气品质有关。为探讨柯巴基焦磷酸合酶(Ent-copalyl diphosphate synthase 2, NtCPS2)与烟草腺毛生长发育及腺毛分泌物合成的关系，本研究使用'8306'的野生型品系(WT)、NtCPS2纯合编辑系(KD)和过表达株系(OE)为材料，对3种株系的烟草进行腺毛表型观察、腺毛密度统计、叶面分泌物西伯三烯二醇含量测定及其关键合成基因表达量进行分析。结果表明，与WT相比，KD株系的叶片分泌型腺毛密度增加75%左右，叶面腺毛分泌物显著增多(P<0.05),OE株系的叶面腺毛分泌物显著低于WT株系(P<0.05)，较WT减少50%左右。负调控腺毛基因B2-型细胞周期蛋白(cyclin B2, NtCycB2)基因表达量在KD株系中显著低于WT株系(P<0.05),OE与KD株系呈现相反趋势，NtCycB2基因表达量与腺毛表型呈相反趋势。KD烟株赤霉素含量显著高于WT株系(P<0.05);OE烟株赤霉素含量显著低于WT株系(P<0.05)。KD株系赤霉素含量升高，分泌型腺毛密度增多，叶面主要腺毛分泌物西柏烷类物质含量增多；OE株系与KD株系呈相反趋势。综上结果表明，NtCPS2基因可能通过正向调控赤霉素生物合成，促进烟草分泌性腺毛密度增多，促进叶面腺毛分泌物分泌。本研究为NtCPS2基因通过赤霉素途径调控烟草腺毛及烟草香气物质的合成提供了新的研究方向。

为了降低航行阻力,满足豪华邮轮营运经济性的需求,对某8万总吨级豪华邮轮进行了基于阻力性能的全船线型优化及截流板设计。首先,结合CAESES的半参数化变形和SHIPFLOW的势流计算方法,针对目标船进行了兴波阻力最小化的线型优化,再对典型优化方案采用STAR-CCM+计算粘流总阻力,评估优化效果;其次,针对优化的船型方案进行了截流板的设计,进一步降低船型总阻力;最后,通过模型试验验证优化效果。试验结果显示,优化线型安装优选截流板后相对于原型实船有效功率下降了7.8%,证明了所采用的豪华邮轮线型优化和截流板设计方法的可行性。
