Ozonation of aromatic monomer compounds in water: factors determining reaction outcomes

For aromatic monomer compounds (AMCs), ozonation outcomes were usually predicted by the substituents of the benzene ring based on the electron inductive effect. However, the predicted results were occasionally unreliable for complex substituents, and other factors caused concern. In this study, p-chloronitrobenzene (p-CNB) and ibuprofen (IBP) were selected for ozonation. According to the electron inductive theory, p-CNB should be less oxidizable, but the opposite was true. The higher rates of p-CNB were due to various sources of assistance. First, the hydroxyl radical (•OH) contributed 90 % to p-CNB removal at pH 7.0, while its contribution to IBP removal was 50 %. Other contributions came from molecular O3 oxidation. Second, p-CNB achieved 40 % of the total organic carbon (TOC) removal and fewer by-product types and quantities, when compared to the results for IBP. Third, the oxidation of p-CNB started with hydroxyl substitution reactions on the benzene ring;then, the ring opened. However, IBP was initially oxidized mainly on the butane branched chain, with a chain-shortening process occurring before the ring opened. Finally, the degradation pathway of p-CNB was single and consumed fewer oxidants. However, both branches of IBP were attacked simultaneously, and three degradation pathways that relied on more oxidants were proposed. All of these factors were determinants of the rapid removal of p-CNB.

The single crystal and crystallized powder of triphosphate CeP3O9 have been synthesized, and the space group of CeP3O9has been determined to be C2221 with the cell parameters ofa = 8.6059, b = 11.2437, c = 7.3518 A, V= 711.4（3） A^3, Z= 4, D,. = 3.520 g/cm^3, F（000） = 700, R = 0.0377 and wR = 0.0930. The absorption and emission spectra have been measured, for which the strongest absorption and emission peaks are located at 280 and 320 nm, respectively. The density of state （DOS） and dielectric function have been calculated by the DFT method. The crystal is transparent provided the wavelength is larger than 341 nm, and the observed ultraviolet cut-off edge is at about 350 nm for a polycrystalline power sample. It is possible that the triphosphate CeP3O9 will become an ultraviolet emission material.

A novel three-dimensional hierarchical WO_(3)photoelectrode was prepared by solvothermal method,and ZnO was deposited on its surface by electrochemical *** WO_(3)/ZnWO_(4)/ZnO multiphaseheterojunction photoelectrode was prepared by further annealing treatment to explore the photoinduced cathodic protection(CP)*** with WO_(3)and ZnO,the photoinduced CP and electron storage capacity performance of WO_(3)/ZnWO_(4)/ZnO is significantly improved in 3.5%NaCl solution without adding any hole *** electron storage capacity of the WO_(3)/ZnWO_(4)/ZnO heterojunction makes it possible to continuously protect metallic materials in the dark after switching off the light,which can realize long-term and effective photoinduced CP.

Words in Pairs Neural Networks for Text Classification

Existing methods utilized single words as text features. Some words contain multiple meanings,and it is difficult to distinguish its specific classification according to a single word, which probably affects the accuracy of the text classification. Propose a framework based on Words in pairs neural networks(WPNN) for text classification. Words in pairs include all single word combinations which have a high mutual association. Mine the crucial explicit and implicit Words in pairs as text features. These words in pairs as a text feature are easily classified. The words in pairs are utilized as the input of the neural network, which provides a better classification ability to the model, because they are more recognizable than the single word. Experimental results show that our model outperforms five benchmark algorithms.

Expression of airway mucus-associated proteins in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with a cold-dryness symptom pattern

OBJECTIVE: To reveal the effects on expression of airway mucus-associated proteins in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) and a cold-dryness symptom pattern induced by elastase and ***: The COPD model was established with an elastase dose into the trachea combined with exposure to smoking; the COPD model cold-dryness symptom pattern was further developed by exposure to a cold, dry environment. After 90 days,pathologic lung sections, inflammatory cytokine levels(measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay), m RNA and protein expression of mucus-associated proteins and aquaporins(measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blots) were ***: Cytokines interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-8(IL-8), and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in the COPD and the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD groups were all significantly higher than in controls(each P < 0.01). IL-6 and IL-8 levels were higher in the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD group than in the COPD group(each P < 0.05). The AQP5 m RNA expression in the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD and COPD groups was lower than in the control group(P < 0.01), and that in the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD group was lower than the COPD group(P < 0.05). The expression of MUC5 AC and MUC5 B m RNAs in the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD group and COPD group was higher than in the control group(each P < 0.01), and that in the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD group was higher than the COPD group(P < 0.01, and P < 0.05, respectively).The ratio of MUC5 AC m RNA/MUC5 B m RNA was COPD group < the cold-dryness symptom pattern COPD group < the control group. 岩芯高光谱成像及勘查指示意义研究--以西藏邦铺大型多金属矿床为例

西藏邦铺矿床是冈底斯成矿带上重要的斑岩-矽卡岩型矿床,矿区东段矽卡岩矿体研究程度较低。高光谱成像技术可以快速获取岩芯样品“图谱合一”的高光谱数据,选取邦铺矿床东段矽卡岩典型岩芯为样品,应用国产核工业北京地质研究院自主研发岩芯扫描仪与国外SPECIM岩芯成像仪,开展短波红外(SWIR)高光谱成像测试及对比分析,揭示典型矿物的短波红外光谱特征,并探讨先进的高光谱成像技术应用于矽卡岩勘探的潜力与优势。对同一批岩芯样品分别进行了国内外仪器的高光谱成像测试,利用最小噪声分离变换以及纯净像元指数进行端元提取,而后结合光谱信息散度法选取不同矿物的训练集和验证集样本,采用光谱角填图法进行蚀变矿物填图。共识别出方解石、绿帘石、绿泥石、角闪石、石英、白云母六种矿物,两种仪器矿物填图的结果大体一致,并反映了不同蚀变矿物之间的组合与分布。SPECIM成像仪对两个钻孔样品的平均填图精度为91.5%,Kappa系数为0.87;核工业高光谱成像仪对两个钻孔的填图精度为75%左右,Kappa系数为0.66。两种仪器获取的高光谱数据信噪比均较高,但是由于核工业仪器的数据空间分辨率相对更低,导致图像中存在更多的混合像元,进而影响了填图精度,其空间分辨率的进一步提高是下一步研发的重点。高光谱成像数据表明ZK0010钻孔绿泥石Fe-OH吸收峰波长变化范围为2252.3~2260 nm,ZK0011钻孔绿泥石Fe-OH吸收峰变化范围为2251.7~2258.5 nm,由上至下均向短波方向移动,表明了绿泥石远离矿化中心而相对富Mg,其高值指示了矿体中心位置。高光谱成像技术相较于传统的点测法可以提供更加丰富的空间信息和光谱信息,为指针矿物的光谱特征参数提取与变化规律分析提供了技术支撑。利用高光谱成像提供的大量光谱数据进行绿泥石Fe-OH峰位统计分析,进而可以通过其波长高值位置指示矽卡岩矿床勘查。

Functionalized Metal-organic Frameworks for White Light Emission and Highly Sensitive Sensing of PA and Fe^(3+)/Al^(3+)

Three isomorphic Ln-MOFs[Ln(bcbob)(H_(2)O)(DMF)](Ln=Tb for 1,Eu for 2,Gd for 3;DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide)have been constructed from a semi-rigid V-shaped organic linker 3,5-bis((4'-carboxyl-benzyl)oxy)benzoilate acid(H3bcbob)under solvothermal conditions.X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis re-veals that they exhibit a two-dimensional(2D)layered *** 1~3 show the characteristic green and red emissions of Ln^(3+)and blue emission arising from the organic ligand,*** on their photo-luminescence properties,the white-light emitting materials 4 and 5 with longer fluorescence lifetime(ms grade)and higher quantum yield(e.g.40.61%for 4)are ***,1 exhibits good sensing ability on ni-troaromatic compounds,especially for picric acid(PA).In addition,1 is still a highly selective sensing material for Fe^(3+)and Al^(3+).

Development of CONTHAC-3D and hydrogen distribution analysis of HPR1000

An in-house code,CONTHAC-3D,was developed to calculate and analyze thermal-hydraulic phenomena in containments during severe ***-3D is a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics code that can be applied to predict gas flow,diffusion,and steam condensation in a containment during a severe hypothetical accident,as well as to obtain an estimate of the local hydrogen concentration in various zones of the ***-3D was developed using multiple models to simulate the features of the proprietary systems and equipment of HPR1000 and ACP100,such as the passive cooling system,passive autocatalytic recombiners and the passive air cooling *** validate CONTHAC-3D,a GX6 test was performed at the Battelle Model Containment *** hydrogen concentration and temperature monitored by the GX6 test are accurately predicted by ***,the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment during a severe accident was *** results show that the hydrogen removal rates calculated using CONTHAC-3D for different types of PARs agree well with the theoretical values,with an error of less than 1%.As the accident progresses,the hydrogen concentration in the lower compartment becomes higher than that in the large space,which implies that the lower compartment has a higher hydrogen risk than the dome and large space at a later stage of the *** amount of hydrogen removed by the PARs placed on the floor of the compartment is small;therefore,raising the installation height of these recombiners appropriately is ***,we do not recommend installing all autocatalytic recombiners at high *** study findings in regard to the hydrogen distribution in the HPR1000 containment indicate that CONTHAC-3D can be applied to the study of hydrogen risk containment.

Mitochondrial pathway mediated by reactive oxygen species involvement in α-hederin-induced apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells

AIM To investigate the antitumor activity of α-hederin in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) cells and its underlying mechanisms in vitro and in *** SMMC-7721, Hep G-2 and Huh-7 HCC cells were cultured in vitro and treated with α-hederin(0, 5 μmol/L, 10 μmol/L, 15 μmol/L, 20 μmol/L, 25 μmol/L, 30 μmol/L, 35 μmol/L, 40 μmol/L, 45 μmol/L, 50 μmol/L, 55 μmol/L, or 60 μmol/L) for 12 h, 24 h, or 36 h, and cell viability was then detected by the Cell Counting Kit-8. SMMC-7721cells were treated with 0, 5 μmol/L, 10 μmol/L, or 20 μmol/L α-hederin for 24 h with or without DL-buthionineS,R-sulfoximine(2 mmol/L) or N-acetylcysteine(5 mmol/L) pretreatment for 2 h, and additional assays were subsequently performed. Apoptosis was observed after Hoechst staining. Glutathione(GSH) and adenosine triphosphate(ATP) levels were measured using GSH and ATP Assay Kits. Intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS) levels were determined by measuring the oxidative conversion of 2',7'-dichlorofluorescin diacetate. Disruption of the mitochondrial membrane potential was evaluated using JC-1 staining. The protein levels of Bax, Bcl-2, cleaved caspase-3, cleaved caspase-9, apoptosis-inducing factor and cytochrome C were detected by western blotting. The antitumor efficacy of α-hederin in vivo was evaluated in a xenograft tumor *** The α-hederin treatment induced apoptosis of HCC cells. The apoptosis rates in the control, low-dose α-hederin(5 μmol/L), mid-dose α-hederin(10 μmol/L) and highdose α-hederin(20 μmol/L) groups were 0.90% ± 0.26%, 12% ± 2.0%, 21% ± 2.1% and 37% ± 3.8%, respectively(P < 0.05). The α-hederin treatment reduced intracellular GSH and ATP levels, induced ROS, disrupted the mitochondrial membrane potential, increased the protein levels of Bax, cleaved caspase-3, cleaved caspase-9, apoptosis-inducing factor and cytochrome C, and decreased Bcl-2 expression.
