BAcKGROUND the intricate relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus(t2DM)and diabetic nephropathy(DN)presents a challenge in understanding the significance of various biomarkers in *** to elucidate the roles and diagnostic values ofα2-macroglobulin(α2-MG),podocalyxin(PcX),α-L-fucosidase(AFU),retinol-binding protein-4(RBP-4),and cystatin c(cysc)in *** From December 2018 to December 2020,203 t2DM patients were enrolled in the *** these,115 were diagnosed with DN(115 patients),while the remaining 88 patients were classified as *** urinary levels ofα2-MG,PcX,and AFU and the serum concentrations RBP-4 and cysc were measured in conjunction with other relevant clinical indicators to evaluate their potential correlations and diagnostic *** After adjustments for age and gender,significant positive correlations were observed between the biomarkers cysc,RBP-4,α2-MG/urinary creatinine(Ucr),PcX/Ucr,and AFU/Ucr,and clinical indicators such as urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio(UAcR),serum creatinine,urea,24-h total urine protein,and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR).conversely,these biomarkers exhibited negative correlations with the estimated glomerular filtration rate(Pceiver operating characteristic(ROc)curve analysis further demonstrated the diagnostic performance of these biomarkers,with UAcR showcasing the highest area under the ROc curve(AUc^(ROc))at *** this study underscores the diagnostic significance ofα2-MG,PcX,and AFU in the development of *** biomarkers RBP-4,cysc,PcX,AFU,andα2-MG provide promising diagnostic insights,while UAcR is the most potent diagnostic biomarker in assessing DN.

the study of the propagation of infectious diseases in urban centers finds a close connection with their population's social characteristics and *** work performs a spatial analysis of dengue cases in urban centers based on the basic reproduction numbers,R0,and incidence by planning areas(PAs),as well as their correlations with the Human Development Index(HDI)and the number of *** analyzed dengue epidemics in 2002 at two Brazilian urban centers,Belo Horizonte(BH)and Rio de Janeiro(RJ),using PAs as spatial *** results reveal heterogeneous spatial scenarios for both cities,with very weak correlations between R0 and both the number of trips and the HDI;in BH,the values of R0 show a less spatial heterogeneous pattern than in *** BH,there are moderate correlations between incidence and both the number of trips and the HDI;meanwhile,they weakly correlate for ***,the absence of strong correlations between the considered measures indicates that the transmission process should be treated considering the city as a whole.

the Antarctic Paleogene marine fossil record has been the key to reconstructing the evolution of the Weddellian Sea and final dismemberment of Southern *** this context,Eocene marine vertebrates from Seymour(Marambio)Island have provided valuable *** present the first Eocene record of marine reptiles from the southern Atlantic coast of South *** corresponds to several postcranial turtle remains represented by a proximal end of the right humerus,three caudal and one thoracic vertebrae,a fragment of the left pubis,and ten ossicles of the dorsal carapace,coming from the Leticia Formation(late-mid Eocene)at cabo tiburones,tierra del Fuego,*** materials show severalfeatures such as the size and general morphology of the humerus and vertebrae,and the presence of relatively small,irregular,smooth,and unkeeled ossicles,which allow us to assign them to Dermochelyidae *** are a cosmopolitan group ofcryptodiran turtles,registered from the late cretaceous up to the recent,with some physiological-biological peculiarities(e.g.,endothermy and an exclusive jellyfish-based diet)and characterized by the presence of an osseous carapace formed by *** new finding from the Leticia Formation is an addition to the scarce and extremely fragmentary record of Eocene dermochelyids from the southern seas like those from the La Meseta and Submeseta formations(Antarctica)and the Waihao and Burnside formations(New Zealand).this new information allows us to discuss the presence of these turtles in such high latitudes in the past and its implication in the evolution of the Weddellian fauna.

Enviromics refers to the characterization of micro-and macroenvironments based on large-scale environmental *** providing genotypic recommendations with predictive extrapolation at a site-specific level,enviromics could inform plant breeding decisions across varying conditions and anticipate productivity in a changing ***-based integration of statistics,envirotyping(i.e.,determining environmental factors),and remote sensing could help unravel the complex interplay of genetics,environment,and *** support this goal,exhaustive envirotyping to generate precise environmental profiles would significantly improve predictions of genotype performance and genetic gain in ***,informatics management platforms aggregate diverse environmental datasets obtained using optical,thermal,radar,and light detection and ranging(LiDAR)sensors that capture detailed information about vegetation,surface structure,and *** wealth of information,coupled with freely available climate data,fuels innovative enviromics *** enviromics holds immense potential for breeding,a few obstacles remain,such as the need for(1)integrative methodologies to systematically collect field data to scale and expand observations across the landscape with satellite data;(2)state-of-the-art AI models for data integration,simulation,and prediction;(3)cyberinfrastructure for processing big data across scales and providing seamless interfaces to deliver forecasts to stakeholders;and(4)collaboration and data sharing among farmers,breeders,physiologists,geoinformatics experts,and programmers across research *** these challenges is essential for leveraging the full potential of big data captured by satellites to transform 21st century agriculture and crop improvement through enviromics.

在浮式风电的建设中,可能遇到各种不同的土质条件。对于高渗透性的土体,如粗砂,采用吸力安装的风险较大。根据实际工程的需要,文章提出了重力安装式筒形锚。文章利用有限元方法对重力安装式筒形锚固基础的贯入过程和承载特性进行了分析。分析结果显示,在粗砂地基当中,该锚固基础可以通过自身的重量贯入至设计深度。与普通重力锚主要通过锚底摩擦提供抗滑力不同,重力安装式筒形锚在水平荷载作用下为浅层破坏,在破坏过程中可以调动更多的土阻力,从而有效提高了抗滑能力。该锚固基础形式可以提供超过2000 t的水平承载力,接近常规重力锚的2倍,能够满足浮式风电的承载要求。此种锚固基础为我国海上浮式风机系泊锚型的确定提供了更多的选择。

为探求温室番茄合理的水-沼液一体化非充分灌溉模式,于2021年3-7月和9-12月在甘肃省兰州市七里河区温室开展两季试验研究。应用水-沼液一体化穴灌技术在番茄3个生育期(苗期、开花坐果期和果实成熟期)设置高水低肥(充分灌溉)、中水中肥(轻度亏缺)、低水高肥(中度亏缺)3个水-沼液一体化非充分灌溉施肥水平,分析不同处理对番茄产量、灌溉水利用效率及品质的影响。构建了番茄综合品质递阶层次结构模型,并运用近似理想解(tOPSIS法)得到番茄综合品质评价值。同时,将番茄的产量、灌溉水利用效率、综合品质作为番茄综合效益的评价指标,应用组合评价法获得不同处理下番茄综合效益评价值。结果表明:t8处理(3个生育阶段均采用中水中肥)番茄单株产量最高为5.612 kg(2021年春)和5.032 kg(2021年秋);t9处理(3个生育阶段均采用低水高肥)番茄灌溉水利用效率最优为0.173 kg/L(2021年春)和0.171 kg/L(2021年秋);t8处理的番茄果形比、糖酸比、可溶性固形物、维生素c、可溶性蛋白质、果实含水率均为最高,番茄可溶性糖、可滴定酸和硬度最大值分别出现在t9、t4(苗期采用中水中肥,开花坐果期采用加低水高肥、果实成熟期采用高水低肥)和t3(苗期采用中水中肥、开花坐果期采用高水低肥、果实成熟期采用低水高肥)处理;两季试验中番茄综合品质评价和综合效益结果最好的均为t8处理。

Objective: to evaluate the potential anti-hepatitis c virus (HcV) activities of cladogynos orientalis Zipp. ex Span and to investigate the molecular mode of action. Methods: Ethanolic and water extracts from various parts of cladogynos orientalis were examined for cytotoxicity by Mtt assay. Sub-cytotoxic concentrations of the extracts were used for further determining anti-HcV activity using cell culture-derived HcV genotype 2a propagated in HepaRG cell line. Immunofluorescence assay was performed to observe the effect on viruses at the pre-entry step. Mode of action at the post-entry step was investigated for the viral RNA and protein expressions by real time Rt-PcR and Western blotting assays, respectively. Results: Although cladogynos orientalis water extracts exhibited lower cytotoxicity than ethanolic extracts, all ethanolic extracts from roots, stems, and leaves of cladogynos orientalis exhibited higher anti-HcV activities than water extracts. the highest anti-HcV activity was observed in infected cells treated with the extracts 5 h after absorption. No extracts showed pre-viral entry effect. At the post-viral entry step, only leaf ethanolic extracts inhibited NS5B expression, while all extracts did not inhibit HcV NS3 expression. conclusions: cladogynos orientalis ethanolic extracts could be further studied and the major active compound needs to be identified as a promising source for anti-HcV agents.

Seasonal variability in cDOM absorption and fluorescence properties in the Barataria Basin,Louisiana,Usa

Absorption and fluorescence properties of chromophoric dissolved organic matter （cDOM） along a 124 km transect in the Barataria Basin, a large estuary located in Louisiana, Usa, were investigated during high and low flow periods of the Mississippi River in the spring and winter of 2008-2009. Mean cDOM absorption at 355 nm from the marine to the freshwater end member stations ranged from （3.25 ± 0.56） to （20.76 ± 2.43） m^-1 for the three month high flow period whereas it varied from （1.48 ± 1.08） to （25.45 ± 7.03） m^-1 for the same stations during low flow period. corresponding salinity values at these stations indicated the influence of river and shelf exchanges in the lower basin and precipitation and runoff in the upper basin. An inverse relationship of cDOM absorbance and fluorescence with salinity observed in the basin could he a useful indicator of salinity. cDOM fluorescence also varied over a large range showing an approximately 8 to 12-fold increase between the marine and freshwater end members for the two flow seasons. Excitation-emission matrix spectral plots indicated the presence of various fluorescence components with highest being the A-peak, lowest the t-peak, and the c and M-peaks showing similar trends along the transect. During low flow season the A/c ratio were well correlated with station locations indicating increased terrestrial influence towards the upper basin. cDOM absorption and fluorescence at 355 nm were highly correlated and independent of cDOM sources suggesting that fluorescence could be used to characterize cDOM in the basin.

In recent years,graphene field-effect-transistors(GFEts)have demonstrated an outstanding potential for terahertz(tHz)photodetection due to their fast response and *** features are essential to enable emerging tHz applications,including 6G wireless communications,quantum information,bioimaging and ***,the overall performance of these photodetectors may be utterly compromised by the impact of internal resistances presented in the device,so-called access or parasitic *** this work,we provide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the photoresponse of high-mobility dual-gate GFEt *** dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease)the internal resistance of the device by an order of magnitude and consequently demonstrate an improved responsivity and noise-equivalent-power values of the photodetector,*** results can be well understood by a series resistance model,as shown by the excellent agreement found between the experimental data and theoretical *** findings are therefore relevant to understand and improve the overall performance of existing high-mobility graphene photodetectors.
