Five advanced high-strength transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP) steels with different chemical compositions were studied to correlate the retained austenite and nonmetallic inclusion content with their physical properties and the characteristics of the resistance spot welding nuggets. Electrical and thermal properties and equilibrium phases of TRIP steels were predicted using the JMatPro? software. Retained austenite and nonmetallic inclusions were quantified by X-ray diffraction and saturation magnetization techniques. The nonmetallic inclusions were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the contents of Si, c, Al, and Mn in TRIP steels increase both the retained austenite and the nonmetallic inclusion contents. We found that nonmetallic inclusions affect the thermal and electrical properties of the TRIP steels and that the differences between these properties tend to result in different cooling rates during the welding process. The results are discussed in terms of the electrical and thermal properties determined from the chemical composition and their impact on the resistance spot welding nuggets.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBcL) is the most common histologic subtype of the non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) accounting for about 40% of all NHLs. This is a case report about the endoscopic appearance of a DLBcL with infiltration to the stomach in a 39-year-old female. She had a 6-mo history of lumbar and left upper quadrant pain with intermittent episodes of melena. A computer tomograghy (cT) scan showed mural thickening of the gastric antrum. Endoscopic examination revealed multiple gastric ulcers. Definite diagnosis could be made by endoscopic biopsies and the patient had a good response to chemotherapy. This response correlated well with a further endoscopic follow-up. A follow-up endoscopic examination could be considered to evaluate a good response to chemotherapy in DLBcL patients with secondary gastric dissemination.

The effect of the Al-6ce-3La（AcL） on the microstructural behavior of the Al7075 was investigated. Materials were synthesized by mechanical alloying with variation in the AcL content and milling time. Products were characterized and studied in the as-milled condition and mechanically evaluated after sintering. The synergetic effect of milling time and AcL content in the modified materials led to a reduction in the particle size. Results from electron microscopy showed a homogeneous dispersion of ce/La phases up to 20 wt.% of AcL content after 10 h of milling. Mechanical evaluation under compressive test showed an improved performance for those alloys reinforced with 0.2 wt.% and 0.5 wt.% of AcL.

The so-called "metabolic syndrome"(MS),constitutes a cluster of metabolic and cardiovascular abnormalities,including fasting glucose,blood pressure,triglycerides,high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c),and waist circumference that arise from insulin resistance. Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA) syndrome is characterized by recurrent episodes of partial or complete obstruction of the upper airway,involving cessation or significant decreased airflow,with intermittent hypoxemia,frequent arousals from sleep and recurrent oxyhemoglobin desaturations that interfere with normal sleep patterns generating difficulty falling asleep,unrefreshing sleep and loud snoring. The relation between these two entities is known as "Syndrome Z",and there is no question about the impact of these risk factors on health and disease. This clinical condition presents a growing epidemic Worldwide,affecting approximately 60% of the general population with both MS and OSA due to the constant increase of body mass index in humans. This article presents evidence-based data that focuses on the direct relationship between MS and OSA.

The small-eared shrew genus cryptotis is the third largest in the family Soricidae and occurs in North,central,and northern South *** Mexico and central and South America,most species inhabit geographically isolated moist,montane habitats at middle and high elevations in a typical sky-island *** 49 recognized species have been partitioned into as many as six species groups based on morphological and molecular phylogenetic *** relationships among these species groups are poorly resolved,and their evolutionary histories,including migration patterns and locomotor adaptations,remain ***,we provide a new phylogeny incorporating complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)and supermatrix *** compared different evolutionary scenarios using approximately unbiased(AU),Kishino-Hasegawa(KH),and Shimodaira-Hasegawa(SH)statistical *** phylogenetic hypothesis based on mitogenomes revealed novel relationships supporting a basal position for the cryptotis parvusgroup in the genus,and a close relationship between *** and one clade of the *** former relationship is consistent with the least derived humerus morphology and northern distribution of the *** latter relationship i mplies multiple migrations between central and South *** lack of fine resolution for the species group relationships may be due partly to the lack of taxon *** contrast,multi-approach analyses suggest that the unresolved relationships may be a result of rapid diversification during the early stages of cryptotis evolution.

A low Reynolds number wind turbine blade model based on the S809 airfoil was tested in a subsonic wind tunnel to study the structural vibration of the blade under dynamic pitching maneuvers. Piezoelectric-based synthetic jet actuators were embedded inside the blade and activated with a synthetic jet momentum coefficient, cμ of 2.30 × 10-3. Structural vibration was quantified for a range of unsteady angles undergoing “pitch up and down” and “sinusoidal pitch” maneuvers at a Reynolds number of 5.28 × 104. The blade tip deflection amplitude and frequency were acquired utilizing a pair of strain gauges mounted at the root of the model. Using active flow control vibration reduction was more effective during the pitch up portion of the blade motion cycle compared to the pitch down portion. This effect is due to dynamic stall, where a leading edge vortex is shed during the pitch up motion and contributes to higher lift compared to static angles of attack and lower lift when the blade is pitched down. Dynamic stall was measured with phase-locked stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (SPIV), where global mean flow measurements reveal a shift in location and reduction in the size of a recirculating flow structure near the suction surface of the blade during the pitch up motion compared to the pitch down.

Purpose: To examine the association of physical activity(PA) intensity levels and sedentary time with health-related quality of life(HRQoL) in women with fibromyalgia and whether patients meeting the current PA guidelines present better ***: This cross-sectional study included 407 women with fibromyalgia aged 51.4 ± 7.6 years. The time spent(min/day) in different PA intensity levels(light, moderate, and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) and sedentary time were measured with triaxial accelerometry. The proportion of women meeting the American PA recommendations(>150 min/week of MVPA in bouts >10 min) was also *** domains(physical function, physical role, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional role, and mental health), as well as physical and mental components, were assessed using the 36-item Short-Form Health ***: All PA intensity levels were positively correlated with different HRQoL dimensions(r_(partial) between 0.10 and 0.23, all p ciated with social functioning(p ciated with physical function, physical role, bodily pain, vitality, social functioning, and both the physical and mental component summary score(all p commendations presented better scores for bodily pain(mean = 24.2(95%cI: 21.3-27.2) vs. mean = 20.4(95%cI: 18.9-21.9), p = 0.023)and better scores for social functioning(mean = 48.7(95%cI: 43.9-44.8) vs. mean = 42.3(95%cI: 39.8-44.8), p = 0.024).conclusion: MVPA(positively) and sedentary time(negatively) are independently associated with HRQoL in women with fibromyalgia. Meeting the current PA recommendations is significantly associated with better scores for bodily pain and social functioning. These results highlight the importance of being physically active and avoiding sedentary behaviors in this population.

The purpose of this paper is to review current infor-mation about the role of inflammation caused by He-licobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection in neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's dis-ease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and other inflammatory diseases including ischemic stroke. Infection with H. pylori usually persists throughout life, resulting in a chronic inflammatory response with local secretion of numerous inflammatory mediators includ-ing chemokines [interleukin(IL)-8, macrophage che-motactic protein, growth-regulated oncogene(GRO)-α, chemokine(c-X-c motif) ligand 1] and cytokines [IL-1β, tumor necrosis factor-α, IL-6, IL-12, interferon-g], which can pass into the circulation and have a systemic effect. The persistence of detectable systemic and lo-cal concentrations of inflammatory mediators is likely to alter the outcome of neurological diseases. These proinflammatory factors can induce brain inflammation and the death of neurons and could eventually be asso-ciated to Parkinson's disease and also may be involved in the development of Alzheimer's disease. However,most neurological diseases are the result of a combina-tion of multiple factors, but the systemic inflammatory response is a common component and determinant in the onset, evolution, and outcome of diseases. How-ever, more studies are needed to allow understanding of the effects and mechanisms by which the inflamma-tory response generated by H. pylori infection affects neurological diseases.
