Performance of evolutionary optimized machine learning for modeling total organic carbon in core samples of shale gas fields

Rock samples'TOc content is the best indicator of the organic matter in source *** origin rock samples’analysis is used to calculate it manually by *** method requires time and resources because it relies on samples from many well intervals in source ***,research has been done to aid this *** learning algorithms can estimate total organic carbon instead of well logs and stratigraphic *** light of these efforts,the current work present a study on automating the total organic carbon estimation using machine learning approaches improved by an evolutionary methodology to give the model flexibility and *** algorithms,differential evolution,particle swarm optimization,grey wolf optimization,artificial bee colony,and evolution strategies were used to improve machine learning models to predict *** six metaheuristics were integrated into four machine learning methods:extreme learning machine,elastic net linear model,linear support vector regression,and multivariate adaptive regression *** samples from the YuDong-nan shale gas field,located in the Sichuan basin,were used to evaluate the hybrid *** findings show that combining machine learning models with an evolutionary algorithms in a hybrid fashion produce flexible models that accurately predict *** results show that,independent of the metaheuristic used to guide the model selection,optimized extreme learning machines attained the best performance scores according to six *** hybrid models can be used in exploratory geological research,particularly for unconventional oil and gas resources.

Prediction of landslide tsunami run-up on a plane beach through feature selected MLP-based model

We proposed new prediction models based on multilayer perceptron(MLP)which successfully predict the maximum run-up of landslide-generated tsunami waves and assess the role of parameters affecting *** input is approximately 55,000 rows of data generated through an analytical solution employing slide’s cross section,initial submergence,vertical thickness,horizontal length,beach slope angle and the maximum run-up itself,along with its occurrence *** parameters are first ranked through a feature selection algorithm and six models are constructed for a 9,000-row randomly sampled *** MLP-based models led predictions with a minimum Mean Absolute Percentage Error of 1.1%and revealed that vertical slide thickness has the largest impact on the maximum tsunami run-up,whereas beach slope angle has minimal *** parison with existing literature showed the reliability and applicability of the offered *** methodology introduced here can be suggested as fast and flexible method for prediction of landslide-induced tsunami run-up.

The prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatments,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from Sargassum thunbergii(STAc)and its fucoidan fractions(STAFs)on 3T3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the STAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3T3-L1 ***,oral supplementation with STAc significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an HFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations demonstrated that puritied STAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that STAc and purified STAF3 from Sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

In 2022,the Joint United nations Programme on HIV/AIDS(UnAIDS)and the World Health Organization(WHO)called upon global,regional,national,and local stakeholders to embrace a holistic approach to person-centered HIV prevention,treatment,and care[1].This approach emphasizes integrating mental health and psychosocial support services into existing frameworks[1].It recognizes the critical role these services play in addressing mental distress and improving the overall well-being and quality of life for people living with HIV[1].In light of men who have sex with men(MSM)remaining a key population affected by HIV[1],it becomes imperative to delve into the shared factors that influence their HIV care and mental health,among which minority stress stands out as a critical consideration.

cO_(2) is the most cost-eff ective and abundant carbon resource,while the reverse water-gas reaction(rWGS)is one of the most eff ective methods of cO_(2) *** work presents a comparative study of rWGS activity for perovskite systems based on AFeO_(3)(where A=ce,La,Y).These systems were synthesized by solution combustion synthesis(ScS)with diff erent ratios of fuel(glycine)and oxidizer(φ),diff erent amounts of nH 4 nO_(3),and the addition of alumina or silica as *** techniques,including X-ray diff raction analysis,thermogravimetric analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,n 2-physisorption,H_(2) temper-ature-programmed reduction,temperature-programmed desorption of H_(2) and cO_(2),Raman spectroscopy,and in situ FTIR,were used to relate the physicochemical properties with the catalytic performance of the obtained *** specifi c perovskite-containing system(either bulk or supported)has its own optimalφand nH_(4) nO_(3) amount to achieve the highest yield and dispersion of the perovskite *** all synthesized systems,bulk ScS-derived La-Fe-O systems showed the highest resistance to reducing environments and the easiest hydrogen desorption,outperforming La-Fe-O produced by solgel combustion(SGc).cO_(2) conversion into cO at 600°c for bulk ferrite systems,depending on the A-cation type and preparation method,follows the order La(SGc)cecS).The diff erences in properties between La-Fe-O obtained by the ScS and SGc methods can be attributed to diff erent ratios of oxygen and lanthanum vacancy contributions,hydroxyl coverage,morphology,and free iron oxide *** situ FTIR data revealed that cO_(2) hydrogenation occurs through formates generated under reaction conditions on the bulk system based on La-Fe-O,obtained by the ScS method.γ-Al_(2)O_(3) improves the dispersion of ceFeO_(3) and LaFeO_(3) phases,the specifi c surface area,and the quant

Developing knn forest data imputation for catalonia
